Mike
So am I . And I have never seen a set of these irons before . I just can't figure out what would be so special about them :?
haribo
IMHO, if one pays $200 or $2000 for a set it doesn't matter. Neither one will make one a better player. Unless the person is willing to put the practise time in that's needed. It's absolute BS to say that 2G's irons will help you shave 3 strokes of your handicap. That's the kind of hype that I got so tired of listening to on the web. Btw, ever noticed (doesn't matter what forum you're on) that everytime clubs like these getting hyped up, somebody coincidentely is putting up a set for sale in the B/S/T folder... Bottomline is, one should get the right clubs. Clubs need to appeal to the eyes and the wallet. To each its own. We can expect them to be the right tools to play golf with. But no one should expect miracles from any set of clubs. On another note, if you're looking for excellent tour clubs, see if you can get Firesole Forged's. They might be harder and harder to get but they don't cost an arm and a leg. (see, that demand justification thing doesn't work all the time) haribo
VokeyMan
I am getting the impression some of these sets really aren't tour and have been grinded by some shop, rechromed and sold for big bucks????? It would be hard to do that. First of there isnt enough metal on the retail 300 forged to grind them like the Lehman Box Toes and still have weight necessary for a respectable swingweight. Also the retail sets have serial numbers, but those can probably be sanded off. Who knows, just know your source and make sure tehre legit before dropping the big bills on these. PxExG
well my TM300s have no serial numbers but are very much retail. and i have heard of certain people filling in the "forged" on the RAC MBs and refinishing & then passing them off as super rare tour clubs....
