May 7, 200420 yr Author comment_37369 Oh I know there is no substitue for the 660 - god forbid. So I am looking for a shaft that has the following characteristics: Weight 72-75 grams Torque 3.2 to 3.5 Flex Mid-High

May 7, 200420 yr comment_37376 Or how about a Tour Release 36.6 . Yes it is 3.0 torque and weight in at 67 grams but it might work for you with the proper tipping . Or even one of the other Tour Release's .??

May 7, 200420 yr comment_37379 I have never hit the 660, but the tour release is a very weak shaft. I would expect them to be very different.
May 7, 200420 yr comment_37380 I have never hit the 660, but the tour release is a very weak shaft. I would expect them to be very different. That is why I said with the proper tipping . As you may have noticed I have a 660 in my driver . It is tipped 3/4" . The Tour Release in my 13* is tipped 1" and the one in my 17* is tipped 1 1/2" . So with the proper tipping it will work for you :)
May 7, 200420 yr comment_37388 Thanks - I have two friends that tried the release shafts and neither like them in a driver, I hit them and also thought that they were soft for flex. Tipping could change that

Great shaft, but it will run you $90 just for the shaft.
May 7, 200420 yr comment_37404 About tipping, I've not much experience esp. Fuji which the official site don't recommend. What's the reason behind for not tipping? :?:
May 7, 200420 yr comment_37408 Vista Tour 70 maybe, but there is no poor man's 660, Looked for one for my back up also. Got a 553 coming instead? :P
May 8, 200420 yr comment_37503 The closest shaft I've found to the 660TR in the value range is the Harmon CBX. It's a great shaft for the price, and very underrated. I received it in a 580 Tour so I don't know if the tour version is different from the retail. Just for reference, I've got the 660TR, 660TR Blue Streak, 693HK, 671TB, and 761TE all shafted in various tour heads, and my 580 Tour CBX combination is equal in feel and distance to the other combinations.
