maruwana
Want to put Fuji Speeder 757 in my club to lower trajectory. I'm 105 to 110 mph club head speed with 45 inch driver and medium tempo. What flex should I go with Regular or Stiff?
rkruff
Definitely Stiff....or maybe even an X I have the same setup 510 Tour at 45" with 757 Stiff untipped and sometimes have a problem with it drawing too much. I also have a 510TP with a SIX and have that in an X at 44 1/2" and love it. My SS is only 105 max. Defintitely don't go with the Regular. FAQ
Maru: I don't think the 757 will lower your trajectory at all. The tip is soft so it helps with a higher trajectory. You would need a stiffer tip with a high kick.

This will give the shaft guru's here a better chance at prescribing the correct cure.
maddoggolf
Maru, you should definitely go with X flex. My swing speed is about that of yours and I'd tried both the S and X flex with my TP driver. While Speeder757S is great, you'll find that the X flex is even better for you. I'm not losing any distance with the X flex at all and I think it's much straighter. Beside, the weight difference is only 4 grams I think. You'll hardly feel any additional weight with the X. You're right on the border between S and X, I'd definelty go with the X flex. BTW does anybody know if there's a difference between the TM speeder 757 on TP driver and the regular Fujikura Speeder757? Also, the difference between Speeder 757 and Speeder 757 Tour-Spec beside the cosmetic?
maruwana
Wow, I am overwhemed with the nice feedbacks. I didn't know 757 is tip soft. I usually like my driver head at 9 degrees but I thought I try getting a higher lofted head as I was told by a pro that to get longer distance with 105 mph swing is better to get a higher lofted club with boring trajectory so the ball hangs in the air longer. So, TM510TP 10.5 deg with Speeder 757 was one that was recommended. But instead, I'm getting KZG Gemini 10.5 degree head. I thought naturally Speeder 757 would be a good shaft for it but now I'm afraid that due to tip soft nature of 757 noted in this thread, this shaft would not be appropriate for it as trajectory would be too high. Any recommendation on high quality shaft with good torque specs for tight dispersion yet right flex for my swing speed to optimize distance? Many guys will tip trim the 757 to lower their trajectory a little and stiffen the tip. I think that might be a good fix for you. Also, I would ask Joe Kwok what he thinks as he is the real guru around here. He's a master clubmaker and a Fujikura charter dealer. You can email him at [email protected] or give him a call between 11A and 2P Pacific Time at (650) 757-8310.

joey3108
If you like a speeder feel w/ around or less than 80 grams, You might want to go w/ 761. Joe

joey3108
Joey whats the difference between the 761 and the 757? JerryMB Flatter, less spin rate and more boring trajectory due to stiffer tip, thus the kick point is slightly higher than the 757. More expensive due to the construction and materials involved in it.Honestly speaking, I'm still bump/shock when they told me that they stoped the production on this shaft. JerryMB
so they are ending the 761? i bet you have a few left right? whats the price on one? JerryMB
PxExG
they are a crazt shaft -everyone I have spoken to loves the thing. Best 75g Fujikura out there apparently. Though it will set you back in the region of $350
JerryMB
PxExG, how is it going, have not typed with you in a while  I thought it was the 771 thats so popular, but doesnt that have a softer tip?

bigkidneys
I was also under the impression the 757 was tip stiff? I knew it had a high kickpoint. One thing I have learned is not to be afraid of X flex shafts in TM clubs. Almost all are untipped and play like a stiff. When I first came on here and another website, I thought My God, everyone here swings Rebar except me 8O Only to find out later that half of them are untipped TMs and play like a stiff. Guess thats why I take all my clubs to be done by a master club maker  Jason
