Precision
Was browsing through eBay and found this. I remember Chris saying these are impossible to get. This was the guy who sold the 1st Japan spec R7 titled "fully lunach angle" which he finally corrected. He seems legit with 100% feedback and a clear description of terms even though the bag won't be shipped late June/early July. It even comes with your name embroidered on it. ;scatter http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...3679875637&rd=

I know him and don't think the seller is actually him. Trying to figure out who this HK seller might be.

+TourSpecGolfer
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this is a fake at the very least a Grey market copy. Where he says " OWN one before Taylormade staff pro do!!!!!!!! " thats complete BS because I see these bags on the JPGA all the time for the last several months. I talked to TM Japan a few minutes ago and these bags are being made in HK with a cut off date of may 13th and the wholesale cost was very close to his buy it now price. there is a limit on how many each shop can order. I should get a reply from TM HK rep within the next couple days. A few people in the know have the info to tear the TM tour market to shreds, Its not the right time make the info public and when it is lots of Tour club owners will feel very cheated. Instead of waiting to tell us when the time is right, and have customers continue to buy TOUR products with the TM label on it, why not tell us now what the problem is here? And when you say TM tour market, are you also including the TP line of products? Please lay your cards on the table for all to see...Thanks! Im not gonna put all the info upfront because its not the time yet, but to give you a rough idea about whats going on here is a price of authentic factory made items: R7 TOUR Quad - 300.00$ Cameron Futura - 40.00$ X-Blade CB's: - 550.00$ TM r7 Staff Bag - 90.00$ Nike Ignite - 100.00 These are coming from Hong Kong and China, The Tour clubs are stamped with the Txxxxxx serial #s, These are the same clubs as purchased in the states. If you don't know the caddy or Tour player your club is coming from, its probably Grey market  My guess is 85% are Grey. These are made in the Same Factories as the Authorized product. After the factory closes at 5pm is when these Grey's are being made. They are not authorized at all even with the serial #s. and TM, TS, Nike and others cant control it even with investigators and U.S Marshall's. Only Callaway has invested the money to stop Tour Fakes by finishing the tour clubs in the U.S. This has been going on for about 5 years now their has also been reports on it on " Living Golf " on CNN and " Club Gear " Japan TV shows. These are the same product as the U.S OEM product just not Authorized with the same Quality assurance standards. My suggestion is get a name of the caddy and tour player or rep your tour club came from.

I wasn't aware that this problem existed with Nike, TS, and Callaway as these brands almost never pop up at Ebay or other outlets with TOUR as part of the script for their equipment. So why is TM the major culprit in the Grey market? Does management secretly turn their heads on this after hours activity to promote their products indirectly through the golfing underground? And it seems to me that the major pieces of equipment prone to the Grey market are the metal woods and wedges. You almost never see sets of TOUR irons for sale. Two more qucik questions: 1.) Are there a lot of TM pros who sell their equipment on a regular basis on the secondary market? 2.) Is Titleist equipment immune to this Grey market problem? +TourSpecGolfer
When I mention TS, Callaway, Nike, Cameron etc I'm talking about the retail stuff. TM is in no way involved with the Grey marketing in fact they have told me they in no way are letting tour clubs slip into the market and if there is in bulk its fake. yes they used the word Fake when i spoke with them. Your correct that Woods and Wedges are the most popular to Grey market, there has been many Titleist Tour wedges, Cleveland Tour wedges, and Callaway Proto Grey's circulating in the market for quite some time now. Several busts have been made but nothing can ever stop the flood of smuggled goods from Asia. I'm sure some pros dump their free clubs into the market but not many, my guess is they are from the smaller Tours because supposedly it is not allowed for a Pro to do. Titleist is not immune in anyway its just the Tour Titty clubs are not as desired as TM or other clubs. I'm guessing Tour Irons on the most part are authentic because the market for them and margin is so small. The Grey market from China has profited the most from TM Tour Issue Driver heads and only Callaway is on the right track to stop these bums. Just be careful guys When the Kitty Hawk battle group came back to Japan recently there were over 250 complete sets of fakes aboard, the sailors were buying complete sets for 300.00 woods, irons, putter, wedges, and bag. They are very very fake but several I have seen are the authentic Grey's. You can believe me or not about this but I do know this is happening. Guest
I got one from him... I just paid him, figured for that price its worth a shot... I'll let you all know how it works out and if its legit or not. Figure he's got great feedback, and had the R7's before most other people did so maybe its the real deal... He was also selling the R7's for under-market I believe. Hopefully its legit, but i'll keep everyone posted if your interested....t He probably has access to the golf factories in China. I recall him selling quite a few 33" Futuras when they weren't available in the US and making a killing. He can't be sourcing from the pros cuz the pros here don't get given much at all and don't know much about equipment. Was given a Callaway GBBII 415 yesterday from a buddy who's HK no.1 and he told me it was a tour driver not available to the public... Maybe only the 8* I got is not available to the public but higher lofts are available retail. Anyhow, let me know if the deal turns out ok for you. If not, I'll hunt him and shake him down for your $$$ :D Didier
