chiuyaa
After reviewing so many discussions, I'm interesting to try out some tourstage iron set, acctually I never used TS Before!! Especially for the x-blade cb, it looks so cool. But right now I'm using the Mizuno mp30 and I wonder these two clubs will have a very different feeling? And which one is more forgiving and easy to hit? BTW how about the Z101, I saw many set sare selling on Ebay around $400. Is that reasonable $$$? Thanks a lot... I have hit the mp-30 and I currently own the Z101. IMO...they are the best iron that I have owned. I think that they are more forgiving than the Mp-30. I think that the feel is soft with the Z's compared to the MP-30, but feel is an individual thing. I would pick up a set for $400. Since they are not being made anymore, I might pick up a back up set.
forgedCBuser
i've not hit the xblade cb's but i can say that the Z101's and the mp-30's are totally different in terms of playability & feel. the mp's are imo so easy to hit they're like game-improvement clubs. the Z's are cb but definitely require more 'flush' contact to get them to work like they're supposed to... TS irons all around tho feel MUCH softer than mizunos imo and the quality and specs are usually spot-on (unlike mizzy's...) i just put another set of TS itb...x5000's (thanx DDA)...an oldie but goodie and they play much more forgiving than my Z's or mr-23's. dorkman53
I had a set of Mizuno MX-23's and replaced them with Tourstage TS 202's. The Mizunos are fine clubs, but the Tourstages are just (IMO) more beautiful, equally forgiving, and are more accurate in my hands. However, the shafts I have on the Tourstages are stiffer, lower torque, and heavier, so it isn't a truly fair comparison (Mizuno Exsars vs. Apache MFS 115's). Suffice it to say that I really liked my Mizunos, but I'm ecstatic about my TS 202's.
FAQ
In comparisons to Mizuno MP-30's and the TourStage 202's with the Z101's.. There isn't any comparison. The Z's are head and shoulders above. The 202's set up chunkier and they don't feel anything like the Z's. They feel good but the Z's have the forgiveness of the 202's. Even in the long irons yet they set up like blades. They are the most forgiving iron I've ever hit and that includes MR CB's, MB's, 202's, Miz 30's, Callaway Pros, Cobras, Cleveland TA's, Titleist 690 CB's, and more. That being said they are truly players clubs with smaller heads and workability if you need it. The long irons are just stupid easy to hit, even the 2 iron. In short, I haven't got my Guage CB's delivered yet, but right now the Z's are in my bag.
