+TourSpecGolfer
The new Taylormade R.A.C TP and CGB Driving Irons were just released July 1st. I got several in stock and decided to open one of each, the TP U2 w/S300 and CGB U2 w/MAS2 Stiff both look very good but the TP looks extremely good. They both have completely different profiles at address and from most angles. The top line on the TP is thinner and the back cavity is less evident. I played 14 holes yesterday before it got dark and decided to keep the TP U2 in the bag in place of my 7 wood for now. It treated me very well, compared to the CGB spec it had a lower trajectory yet went about the same distance. Perhaps the CGB is better for my game but the TP spec has the cool factor going for it. Is it better than the X-Blade Air Muscle? Yes by far and much easier to hit but its not as clean looking in my opinion, It feels pretty good at impact, nothing soft like an MR23 Cb 2 Iron but forgiveness and control was not a prob. I was working a small draw with the TP but when a fade was necessary it could be done no problem. Its as long as my FUT U3 but not as forgiving. The CGB spec is what I would suggest for those not looking for cool factor because its just so darn easy to get into the air. 12 of you will be very happy, very soon because your TM Driving Irons shipped yesterday 2-4 day EMS. When you get them please post a review my swing has been sketchy in recent days so I don't really know if this club is as good as I think it is. Could have been my swing yesterday :o I will post pics of mine in a couple hours.
+TourSpecGolfer
OK, Just got back from the range and I can confirm these are the real deal, I'm not a big fan of TM but the R7TP & the new R.A.C Utility Irons have made me re-evaluate that notion. If Tourstage X-Blade Air Muscle is a 5 then these are a 10! At the range today i was able to crank the TM Driving Irons a Mile, they are stupid easy to hit compared to the Mizuno Hi Fli 2, and any Fourteen or SYB driving Iron. These are solid and because of the performance the TP 2U and 3U are for sure in the bag  Knocked my Gauge Designs 3 Iron flat out cold. The TP is satin finish and the normal version is Chrome. The normal version is super easy to hit. I highly suggest the normal spec unless your a cool factor type guy. Here are is the Normal Spec...Dumb Easy to Hit!! If you want one drop me a PM! Epuller
That is pretty well it!!!!!!! WOW. I have been coming to this site for a bit now and it seems everytime I drop it, I get a WOW. So...WoW!!!
PxExG
yeah even though its a TM I can see myself playing it. Its the nicest looking utility I have seen - nicer than the Fourteen, Rescue Mid, et al
JMSCanTour54
I for one would like to hear a couple of more reviews becuase I am trying to figure out what I can sell to get my hands on one. I see in the catalog that you have TP's for sale, do you also have the standard version as well and if so what lofts are available in those. thanks
+TourSpecGolfer
The ones in the B/S/T I have can ship the day of payment but I can get all others withing a few days of the order. The normal version comes in 17, 19 & 21* With NS pro S or R, and MAS2 graphite in S or R. You should be able to get some other reviews in a week or two. People should be getting theirs this weekend from the pre-sale. As of yesterday I play Driver, 3 wood, 2U & 3U, the 5 & 7 woods lost their place in the bag. I can hit the 2U almost as far as my 3 wood. I'm playing the TP spec.
tsg4tch
Chris, My RAC Utility TP 3U 19° w/S300(that name is too long) arrived today in great shape. I really like the look/feel of it, but rain will delay my trying it. One thing I did notice is the face of this thing is hot! It feels almost as hot as the Rescue Mid, and my ball jumps off those. Will post a review when able. Thanks. :smile2:
nearfall152
God those are nice, I can't wait to try them! Thanks for the sneek peek!
mulligan7
Chris, How would you rate the performance of the 19* TP and normal version to Rescue TP and Rescue Mid in Same loft in terms of (i) distance (ii) accuracy and (iii) ease of hitting / getting ball up? Also, how does the graphite shaft play in the normal? Is it any better than normal MAS TM shafts? I have the 16* TP and 22* Mid with NV Hybrid and am looking to fill in with a 19* Hybrid of some sort (leaning toward Rescue TP so far). Finally, what is the price of the normal version with graphite. I do not see this in the catalog. Thanks
+TourSpecGolfer
The normal version is a little cheaper, Just drop me a PM for the price. The TP version 2U and 3U is what I play now and although I am not a huge TM fan, I love these clubs. No more 5 wood for me the 2U is longer and straighter, I play the driving Irons from the rough off the Tee and from pretty much anywhere. I have owned the Rescue TP, here are my answers to your questions, I hope you dont feel they are bias because I'm selling them. Distance: longer than the TP rescue of about equal loft Accuracy: Because it is an Iron It stays on line very well, with the rescue i could still get an OB here and there if along the edge and hit poorly with the rescue but with the TP Driving Iron I am very accurate and feel confident i can hit a green 230 out. Ease of hitting: very easy, Air Muscle, PRGR zoom, Fourteen are nothing compared to the new TP driving irons. The ball has anice trajectory with the S300 for me. The regular version is dumb easy to hit maybe Shokosugi will chime in, he is loving his regular version with stiff graphite shaft.

hornyjuan
Chris, Are you comparing them to the rescue mid or regular rescue? Any benefits with the TP other than the cool factor?
+TourSpecGolfer
Chris,Are you comparing them to the rescue mid or regular rescue? Any benefits with the TP other than the cool factor? I started off playing the normal version, then tried the TP. What i noticed was the TP has a softer feel ( not good soft ) kinda mushy on mi s**ts, but the S300 and TP head is what sold me, I never ever had a trajectory so nice on any club in the bag. If somehow I could fit all my clubs the same way I would in a heart beat. I am comparing it to the Rescue Mid TP. If you love to hit sweet long Iron shots I highly suggest it. tsg4tch
My experience with the RAC Utility TP 3U 19°: 1) As Chris says, very easy to hit...about the same as my Rescue Mid. Good feel, too. 2) Distance(~225 yds.) is shorter than my RM 19°(~235 yds.) and a little longer than my 3-iron 21°(~214 yds., I'm comparatively long with my long irons). 3) Trajectory is where this club shines. Nice low launch, especially off the deck. I'm a high ball hitter and my RM launches/flies too high for windy days. 4) Spin is lower so ball flies straighter on mis-hits. 5) I did not notice the bounce when playing off the deck, which is good. 6) Jury is still out on playing from the rough. I think the Rescue-Mid is a little better here. This club will replace my 19° Rescue-Mid on windy days. I'm going to get the lofts checked on both just to be sure they're the same. I think the shafts may account for some of the distance difference. comparison clubs: Taylor Made Tour Rescue-Mid 19° w/Aldila NV Hybrid 105-X Zodia Z101 Pro II 3-iron w/Project X 5.

dunkotime
Both those look good. I have yet to find an driving iron or utility/rescue that I really like the looks of. The satin is better than the shiny chrome in my opinion. Thanks for the pics. Wonder if we will see them in the US?

I'm hitting the 3U-19° right at 230 yds. This is a surprisingly good club. :-)
Dougf
Chris The TP U2 X100 arrived last week and I have given it a good workout. You are right....It is a solid club...Real easy to hit and is a lot better stick compared to the rescue. Doug
TourSelect
I switched from a tour Rescue-Mid 19* w/ ProjectX to a 3U TP 950NS Pro...first off I was really impressed with the shaft, it was my first experience and they feel great...I like it much more than the Rescue.. Easy to hit, you can work it a lot easier all-in-all a great club! I was inspired to get this by TourSpecGolfer thanks for the review TSG! Also thanks for the gentleman that sent me the club! Godfather1
Those clubs are so sweet looking, I am going to have to get around to adding them to my coming set of scratch irons I have on order. Chris how does the tp model comare to the retail rescue mid, off the deck, the rough, and from a tee??? Also which clubs do these correspond to, and is there only a 16* and 19* model.
