i was wondering if anybody can tell me if you trim a 0.5" from the butt end of an aldila nv - will it get noticably stiffer and how much swingweight am I losing?

also can anybody recommend the better fit in a fairway wood between an nv 65 and nv75 regular or stiff for a 95-100mph driver swingspeed with a smooth tempo. if it helps, i usually prefer the softer side of stiff? thanks.

i like the nv 75 better fro fairway woods and with oyur swing speed the reg flex nv75 tipped one inch and than butt cut to length will be fine and not too stiff.. you'll hardly notice any stiffness with that much cut form the butt end-- swing weight i can't commment on without kjnow the weights of all parts... guess 1 point...

with butt-trim, NV felt same as before. For me, trimming the tip off about 1" do just right.

It will not feel stiffer... you will only noticeable change the flex by cutting at the tip.

You'll loose approximately 3 swingweight points (6 points for every inch).
