Scratch Copper Wedges

Can someone post some pics for me?

I recieved these about a week ago and they are second round of wedges from Scratch. Just like getting the next version of software, I tweeked the grind and shape a little bit from the first set I ordered and what a difference it made. These are great wedges I can't see how I could possibly want anything else in a wedge.

The Copper plated finish us pretty durable. Its not as durable as chrome but is plenty durable in a set of iron unless you hit alot of balls on a grass sand based range. In that case I would suggest having us make you an extra iron to use as a practice club for the range. We have done this for a couple people that have Copper sets and it has worked out great. You also have to be a little carefull to wipe them off if they get wet or they could oxidize and rust a little bit. They look even better when the oxidize and darken with age into a nice petina. I have a Copper set of CBs in my bag that I have had for a few months and they look very very good. No worse than a chrome set would look at this point. I dont get to practice much but I have played a bunch of rounds on them. I also had a set of Copper wedges for 6 months that wore very nicely and I was practicing a descent amount then. I wore through the sole a little bit on the 58* that I used all the time from the sand but the 48* and 53* looked great after 6 months of use. I only sold them because someone I was paired up with offered me alot of money to buy them from me on the spot. LOL  I am definetly a big fan of the Copper finish personally.

We just made a Copper Combo set for a guy and the Blades really looked amazing. This is one set you can see for miles away LOL. It has bright oragne MCC shafts with the Copper finish and bright orange paintfill! I will try to get a couple pics up.

Thanks Plastk. Unfortunately, guess where Ari got his supporting data about not practicing on sand based ranges. Fortunately I only used my PW and 7 iron when I first started practicing there. Needless to say I don't practice there any more.

So far like Ari mentions the finish has been pretty durable. I still have to hit more balls to give a more thorough opinion. I bought some copper cleaner when I first got the set and used it before taking the pic. Ari is right though, some play gives the iron some character. I am debating whether to let the set show its usage or try to keep the bling bling look.

If you want a no maintenance finish you might want to think of a different finish. My brushed nickel wedges have been extremely durable and soft. If you don't mind a little upkeep and like some character the copper finish will grow on you.

It's just plain evil at this point to not post some pics! I'm starting to feel sick... need to see some beautiful pics of those Scratch copper blades!
