TM 510 TP VS TM R7 TP

I'm currently using TM510TP and thinking trade-in for R7 TP. Do you R7 TP will be longer than 510TP?

No, I don't think it will be longer. If you want to get longer, get a good fitting and choose a shaft based on the results of the session.

the r7 head might be smaller so if anything it would be harde to hit farther then your tp now.

That is probably the most inaccurate statement I have seen. While the r7 driver head may appear to look smaller at address the r7 tp is still a 410 cc driver. In my opinion the R7 if anything is more forgiving than the 510 tp especially with the weight configurations. As far as reccommending an upgrade from a 510 to a r7...just hit both and decide if you want to justify spending the extra $200. The r7 is definetly more forgiving but the sound is aweful. I still like the muted sound that the 510 tp produces. Both drivers are about par on distance (maybe 5-10 yards longer with the r7 for me) but don't expect a magic box. The R7 head is more compact than the 510 and for me this makes it easier to turn the head over.

I have both setup exactly the same and they are about the same distance wise, feel, and ball flight. I have not played with the weights as I like nuetral bias. The only advice I have read that made the most diference was putting the heavier weights in the face position which provides a muted more solid sound. Not having hit the club with the weights in the rear, I cannot make a comparison, especially since I don't own a wrench. I have not seen the 10-15 yard distance gains touted by some. The 510DF is still for the money an excellent driver.

The R7 is not necessarily longer than the 510 and both of them are not necessarily as long as the 300 Tour. But the TM drivers seem to be more forgiving over time. I have found the R7 to be more accurate than the 510. And I have also watched "agoodgolfer" repeatedly hit his 300 Tour farther than any other driver he has tried.

As mentioned earlier, get the right shaft and specs for your swing to maximize distance.

I have tried both the 510TP and the R7(standard version) and found that my 300 is still just as long, and to fit my preferences, has a better feel and sound. I am fitted with the shaft, swingweight and length that I prefer and smash it...

Who needs another driver???

Not to say that one day...I would not change. I did try out the other drivers...

I've got to say... I'm a +1 index, hit the ball fairly straight... I've hit just about everything... Old driver was a 510 DF proto 9.5 w/ tourspec 660tr. I switched to a 10.5 tour R7 with tourspec 761tb. It took me a while to find the right shaft, and ball flight because the R7is a lower spin driver... Now that i have the right shaft in that club and the setup is just standard with te weights... I am in love... Without a doubt the longest driver i've ever hit... on good contact hits vs 510.. i'm at LEAST 10 yds longer, 5yds carry minimum... but avgs out 10yds carry and 15-20yds roll longer. I can't say enough good things about this club... the good folks on tour wouldn't be switching to it if it wasn't better...

I emphatically agree. I thought I'd never change from the 510TP, but I tried a retail R7 to see what it was all about and I loved it. I ordered a R7TP in my specs the next day, still looking to sell my retail R7.

I've said this before in other posts, and I'll say it again...I don't think its right to charge that much for any club. I'm lucky enough to not have to have paid for eithe of them. I know all the arguments 'you don't have to buy' and 'somebody must be buying' and 'what's wrong with makin' a buc?'. I just don't think it's right.
