Posted July 18, 200420 yr Does anyone know if it is all right to reshaft a tourstage x drive 390, given that it has a tungsten composite hosel? I have a demo unit with me but can't seem to get any consistency with the original shaft. Thanks. Willy
July 18, 200420 yr I just had a Tour AD put into mine so, I don't see what the problem would be. Actually, it can be a tricky head to do because the head is foamed and if not done right, could melt/crumble it.
July 18, 200420 yr I've reshafted one. Worked fine. The clubmaker just has to be careful he doesn't heat it too much because of the foamed head.
July 18, 200420 yr Author Guys, thanks for the information. Much appreciated. Now need to check if I can convince the seller to part with the club. Willy

I have that SMS message saved on my phone. I showed it to Tades once. He couldn't stop laughing. X Drive 390 plus the R7 max you have "on loan" as well. You have so many "on loan" to you the interest payments must be killing you. What else aren't you telling me about?
July 20, 200420 yr Author Dadriver, Thanks for the offer but it looks like the sellers are quite willing to part with it. Xxio, We all relapse from time to time, but get back on our feet. Am still on a sales mission! Hahah
July 20, 200420 yr Relapse is when you get sick once in a while not when your sick all the time. let me know how the XDrive 390 pro spec with the 671 TE works out. Continue plugging hard to keep the Sake in the bag and preventing Kool Aid from taking over. It crept into mine and it's been really hard to kick out.
