Posted August 3, 200420 yr comment_51442 Has anyone experimented w/ the True Temper TX Tour shafts? Looks to be a similar shaft to the TX-90, but w/ a different bend profile. Probably more like DGS? Thinking of getting a set to throw in some Pro Combo heads. Wanted to see if anyone has opinions first. Thanks!
August 5, 200420 yr comment_51688 I would also like to hear what people have to say about these shafts . But am going to take a wild guess  and say nobody here has tried them yet :smile1:
August 5, 200420 yr comment_51697 I have played them all year and they have performed ok. They are supposed to produce a lower ball flight vs. the standard TX-90 but I still hit them fairly high. The TX-90s feel more "lively" than the tours.

I think I will give them a shot, so I ordered a set for Pro Combos. Just looking for a little more "stout" from the shaft. Might not be for awhile, but I will follow up w/ my impressions once I get the set done.
August 6, 200420 yr comment_51768 My Tx tours feel just like the s300 I had in my 300's. ..just lighter. I was hoping I might hit them lower than the s300 sensicore but I hit them just as high if not just a shade higher. Good feeling shaft though.
August 7, 200420 yr comment_52012 I play the TX Tours in X-Flex in my Tourstage TS-202's. I play my irons 3/4" over standard and with these shafts I can get the swingweight down to D3. They are very stable and predictable, great trajectory control. I hit a fairly high ball but these shafts perform very much like the X100's. The TX Tours are the only lightweight I have used that did not high the ball sky high for me. I would highly recommend them.
September 24, 200420 yr comment_57450 Any updates on the TX Tour's? I'm thinking about trying these out. I've tried Nippons and Rifle TFR's before and like both of those shafts but am looking for a little less muted feel (don't mind some vibration). I've never really liked DG's because they were too heavy and felt a little harsh but I've heard that the TX tours have a smoother feel (a little more vibration dampening than DG) as well a tad lower ballflight than Rifles. Probably try it in a reg (95mph driver ss) to help get the ball up a tad. Thanks for any feedback.
September 30, 200420 yr comment_58315 dunkotime, the TX-Tours are DynamicGolds on a diet. their bend profiles are the same & they'll swingwieght the same (lower balance point). they do FEEL softer @ impact than the DG's. for most players, that'll be a good thing. the TX-90 is the opposite of the TX-Tour. the TX-90 is designed to hit the ball higher. the TX-Tour is an outstanding stick for the player who needs the ballflight of the DG, but w/o the extra heft. over the course of 18-72 holes, that can make a difference. jeff/clubfitters

It's supposed to have the exact same ballflight and flex profile as DG except 20g lighter. How does this compare to the TX Tour?
