MIura5001
Looking for a comparison of topline thickness, offset, heel to toe length, and sole width. The 5002's I have vistually no offset and are very thin in each of the categories. Any comments would be greatly appreciated as I'm looking to pull the trigger on a set of MR-23 blades but would like to hear some feedback first. I have never owned the 5001's but have hit them before yet never had the chance to compare side by side with the MR-23. If memory serves my right, I think MR-23s are smaller, more angley, better feeling, more accurate, more compact head. The best part is the feel of the perfect struck ball. If you can handle the 23's they could be one of the best, just ask S.A and Maru.
DemolitionMan
The 5002s are very similar on profile to the MR23s. The offset is very close, the size is very close. It's the shape of the muscle on the back where you can find the biggest difference. I think the 5002 has a little more bulk in the muscle to get a higher ball flight. murch
Have used both have spoken to others that have used both and I must say IMO you would be extremely happy with either, sole grind is a little different and again in IMO that also contributes to the slightly higher flight for most with Miura. Both forgings really are magic. Shop away. Chris M

I think their balance is by far the best I've ever felt. Even when I change my tempo for a particular shot they just swing so easy. Feedback is great when you're working the ball and rarely harsh when you skull or chuck one. James
MIura5001
Thanks for the information. I've heard the MR-23's are softer than the Miura sets I own. I'm very curious to find out for myself because the Miuras are super soft!
bumpNrun24
I would never trade my Maru's for anything. These are by far the softest, most forgiving blades I have ever had the pleasure of owning. They feel like a hot knife through butter.
