Posted August 14, 200420 yr Here is a pic of the retail version new graphite design U.S PM702. I used to own the Tour 702 exactly the same as P.M's but the torque was stated at 2.2. Here is the exert text from the site: The PM 702 is suited for the better player and Tour Professionals with high club head speeds. It has an overall stiff bend profile and high kick. The PM 702 is a proven winner on the PGA TOUR including this years MASTERS and Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. the U.S PM702 has the same specs as the W70 in Japan. bummer they would advertise its the same shaft as Phil's.

How did it work out for you and what head did you have it in?
August 16, 200420 yr Author It was terrible for me, I had the 2.2 torque spec which was very butt stiff un like the W70. My guess is that the U.S version is a W70 copy and the PM702 that Philly M uses is different.
August 25, 200420 yr I have Phil's GDPM702 in Phil's club, a lefty 983X, was in his bag in 2002. I love the shaft, firm, feels super solid. Disappointing to know the retail release is not consistent with the true PM702
