+TourSpecGolfer
was able to play a round today with the golf 5 rep from Atsugi, Japan and he brought some sweet goodies because he knows how i love the new stuff. Here is my take on some hot clubs coming out. Id first like to say my game was ON today and I was hitting everything like a champ. Mizuno UX1 Driving Iron What can I say, it feels like a mizuno, I was hitting this club very well but find it not as forgiving as the TM driving Irons. The new UX1 has a tungsten bar inside of a hollow cavity. I tried the 18* with an NS pro Stiff shaft and it felt more crisp than my Tm's but not as long and the S300 on the TM just makes the perfect ball flight for me. The mizuno is made of SUS630, Its a two piece design cavity + face. Good club just wish it came in S300. Mizuno MP-32 These new Irons are nothing compared to the 33's and 37's, I was very disappointed with its performance, I was expecting more forgiving higher ball flight. I did notice a higher ball flight but mis hits high on the face and toe were shaking fillings out of my teeth. Only decent when hit low on the face and I would rate them very poor when hit high on the face. Mizuno T-Series Wedges Black NI finish just tooo awesome, its got a thinner flatter sole, I really loved the 53-08 it just clips the ball off the grass, the hitting area was almost as large as my MP custom wedges. This will probably be my next wedge. I am a die hard believer of Mizuno wedges now. Mizuno MP series N2 wedge If you like vokey's harder click, I suggest the N2 wedge by Mizuno, its made of SS304N2 and features a more traditional shape over round. They are more expensive but have the head shape and design that makes mizuno wedges so darn good. Srixon W404 w/W60 TIP 9 Version bye bye R7, This club is longer more forgiving and feels better than my R7 retail with the same shaft. It is 400cc and sets up smaller than the R7. I hope srixon brings it to the U.S because it will be cheap and all of you will get to try it. I am starting to want a Srixon bag :) This driver is AWESOME! its face is deep but has a very cool shape. Just picture the R7 deep but slightly longer heel to toe. Their is a weighting bias 8.5 is neutral, 9.5 slight draw bias and 10.5 normal draw bias. TIP 9 version means it was tipped 1/4" inch I think :-D but what ever it was it worked perfect. Srixon I-404 Irons Its basically the I-302 with a slightly deeper face in the toe area and shorter heel to toe & higher C.O.G . These Irons performed very well and I highly suggest them to anyone looking for a Players CB or GI players CB or whatever we call it now days. From what I was told the C.O.G is higher than the I-302, I haven't hit the 302s for a long time but by the looks of it and the ball flight for me it was were perfecto! S300's or NS 1050's half inch long and it could make it into the bag. PRGR type 405 Talk about a closed face, the 10.5 is the lowest loft and it was 2* shut :surprize: I decided to give it a try and its long, forgiving with a whippy shaft, can you say pull hook. Taylormade R5 Dual Type N It had the stock shaft in stiff in it but performed very well, it is an R7 but a tad longer heel to toe and rounder. I hit it off the toe and heel then the same with my R7 and the R5 overall is an R7 just more forgiving and not adjustable. Distance is the same and feel is the same except with no crunch. Taylormade R5 Dual Fairway Wood I think it was poop but my playing partner was killing it longer and straighter than his V-Steel Tour. The sole looks too busy and the face is a little long heel to toe for my liking. TM usually makes awesome clubs so I trust that this will be a success also. Too bad its ugly :spit:

James
how is the mp32 compared to the mp30? accuracy/forgiveness/feel/distance wise thanks alot James
TMMike
Chris, the Mizuno T-Wedges are better than the TS X-Wedges??? That would be hard to believe seeing that my X-Wedges are so damn good and so damn game improving, it's dropping digits off my handicap faster than rain falling from the sky...haha! But if true, they must be simply AWESOME! :mizuno: :bridgestone:

Its my swing and short game, the results will differ for everyone I'm sure.

+TourSpecGolfer
woops just looked again its a w-403 but looks pritty cool. Thats strange, I looked at the W403 and its not available in Japan and they jipped out on some of the technology. I wonder if they will release an I-403 for the U.S? I wonder if the 404 will come to America?
ChiliDip
This sucks... I just talked to my local srixon rep and he said that the 404 will not be comming to the US. That 403 line is the next line to be distributed in the US. The weird thing is that he told mr that there is no intention of creating two separate line one for US and one for Japan. Its just that it turned out this way for the upcoming lines.
