mm48
Still searching for a used F/UT 19...these must be really hard to find... 'previously played'. I know that Chris sells these new...are they worth $300 plus dollars? Thanks.
HipCheck
I have one in steel shaft & I wouldn't give it up for the world. Aside from the fact that I acts like an incredibly easy to hit 3 iron from the tee, fairway, rough and sand, it's a phenominal chipping club. I've chipped in 5 times this year with it :smile1: -- an 0 with any wedge.
mm48
HipCheck, I take it that your reply is an endorsement for purchasing a new one? I read your review of the club. Sounds like it must be the favorite club in your bag. Do you hit the 19 longer than your 3 iron? I have a hole in my bag between my F/ST 13.5 and my 20 degree 3 iron. I want to find one that fills the gap[ not so much by numbers on the club but actual hitting distances] and can't decide whether to go 16 or 19. Do you have the Nippon steel shaft. If so, what flex? Thanks.
HipCheck
The shaft is a Nippon NSPro 950 stiff flex. These have a little more kick than (more tip soft) than the 1050s. I just don't like graphite in FW woods too much and hate it in hybrids. I'm actually going to put a 950 in my 3 wood next week--but anyway. It's my go-to club for all types of situations. If you're looking to fill the gap like you say, I'd go for the 16. The standard shafts are a little shorter, so the ball does not fly as long as, say a TM 19° rescue (which suck :spit: ). I can find out if a friend of mine can get a steel shafted for you (not sure how much though).
