MCsub
Anyone else have or tried this combo? I just got one yesterday and am excited to try it. The I65 feels softer than the NV65 in my Nak, and it may need to be altered for me. Anyone else playing the I65 in something else?
Ball
I have this combo. It plays softer than the Fuji 757 and a bit higher. I also have this shaft in my TS MR-23 9.5 deg driver and hit high balls with it. On the TP, my total weight is at 32g = D7 according to the4 charts, but I have yet to get it tested. Overall, the shaft feels smoother than the Fuji IMHO. Hope this helps.
MCsub
Well I got to hit it briefly last night. The I65 is sensational. What a shaft. It really feels "whippy" next to my NV65, and I thought it would not be stiff enough, but there was no overloading it at all. Kind of funny - when I had a 757S 510TP I ballooned a lot (I guess the soft tip in that setup), but did not at all with this setup. I was also hitting it at 32 grams (neutral layout - thanks Joe), but choking up just a hair. I was very pleased w/ the performance. I toggled between it and my Nak. Overall, I was definitely longer w/ the R7 on more balls. I hate saying that, because a lot of people lie about distance. After all, these clubs all approach .83, right? But I think the shaft in this case is superior. My trajectory was sweet - just like they draw on the golf ball boxes - a slight balloon at the end and then a thumping touch down. The mosquitos chased me off early, but I will work this more over the weekend. To be honest, I could care less about the moving weights - I have not tried a draw or fade setup yet, and may not. But I love the profile of the head, and at setup it is simply perfect. I really wanted to try the I65, and after doing so am very pleased! More to come.
