Guys, a friend of mine bought some Northwestern Oversize driver for $35 new. The shaft, though, is REALLY whippy, even for someone who just started golfing this year.

He'd really like to reshaft it with something cheap. What do you suggest? A YS-6 pull? (If anyone has one, please let me know.)

i wouldnt reshaft it at all, ive tried reshafting Wal-Mart clubs like that, its hard, the heads are so cheap they will melt if you apply the heat necessary to remove the orginal shaft. i say try to find hm some old TM Supersteel,

Just trade it in to Play it again sport for the right shaft and club.

Unless you do the install yourself it's going to cost you $10-$20 then the cheapo shaft will be $25..go to big 5 and buy him a golden bear driver :surprize:
