primo
It will definitely play softer, depending on your swing you could get higher launch angle, more spin. you could also deloft the club. Depending on how heavy your shaft is, it's really easy to get into the E-5 range...
DemolitionMan
The main reason I hate the R7 is because when you start tinkering with ball flight and add a lot of weight, it changes the shaft characteristics quite a bit. If you add the heavy weights you can almost count on a much lower ballflight. Maybe we some other shaft (and I tried about 5 different ones) you might get higher launch, but I doubt it. I would get a 65g shaft setup nicely, then follow TMs recommendations for a high draw, add more weight, and hello low hooks. While it may be generally true a heavier head makes the shaft softer (hmm...this does not sound good for children), if you do not have the swing speed to deal with the added swingweight, you are in trouble. I don't swing particulary fast (100-105) and have 30 grams (6-10-8-6) with an I65 stiff and have had no problems (thanks Joe for the recommendation - still testing!). I am enjoying the heavier SW and have not really tinkered with it. I swing so easy and it goes very very straight - no hooks for me.
