  1. Roddio has a 30deg. hybrid utility (Shingo is also using it).
  2. reminds me on the CB247 irons but the logo and stamping on the sole is different....
  3. no brainer: onoff forged (either 2011 - 2013 - Kuro)
  4. Could not find any comments for the egg impact driver with standard shaft length of 43.5". It is an interesting concept. Anyone using it?
  5. A lot of talk regarding graphite shafts in this forum. For the sake of variety lets hear some opinion on steel shafts in hybrid/utility clubs. A while ago after a long search for an utility I read Chris review for the ONOFF type-s utility 2012 model: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/blog/onoff-2012-fairway-wings-utility-review/ And gave it try with an used 21 deg. 2013 version I saw at Golf Partner shop shafted with the standard NS Pro 950 steel shaft. Well still have in my bag and couldn't be more happy. The weight and the slightly shorter shaft makes the club very controllable without loosing any distance (as described by Chris). For me especially the weight of the shaft and the similar handling (feeling at set up) to my irons also shafted with NS Pro 950 makes it a winner. Well after recently kicking out my Fairway wood I realized that my only club shafted with graphite is my Driver ...
  6. Yesterday evening before sleep had the usual quick look on Tourspec. Well but this time it brought me some sweet dreams ... THANKS!!!
  7. Maybe too much mystifying... DAT is the product designation by Daido Special Steel for their titanium alloys. One of these alloys is the DAT55G they developed. Not sure if their patent is still running but anyway as it is their designation if you want to use a DAT55G you would have to purchase it from them (from their factory located in Nagoya - they have no overseas production) If you look at their homepage they only list it with "G". I'm guessing here but most probably developed for spring application but as it is mainly used for Golf clubs the "G" is standing for Golf.
  8. That's also what I don't like about Miura. Always too busy - every available surface is used up for branding
  9. @ bstnyc Thanks for the feedback. My own thoughts The time I spend training with the FW I'd rather spend on the driver and/or irons which get to used more often anyway.
  10. Don't see a fairway wood in your setup. Having a love/hate relationsship with FW myself - with the hate part getting the upper hand currently - would appreciate to hear a comment
  11. I'm using the Fourteen DJ-11 wedges in 52 and 58. with the 58 I get the ball more or less on automatic out of the bunker. also lob shots are no problem.
  12. For me its the Fourteen DJ-11 wedges. There are better looking wegdes out there but every time I have to get the ball out of bunker (more or less jumps out by itself) or making difficult approach shots I remain faithful.
  13. Still waiting for the brave person willing to test the 70. Maybe we should organize a call for donations for the willing (if not for the club but at least possible expenses for the dentist)
  14. "I tend to top it quite easily but when I do catch it well, it flies like a missile and goes really long.." Daveraul - It seems with that sentence you summed up this clup very close. Thank you for this input
  15. Didn't know that Fourteen has such an image/distribution channel in US. In Japan it seems to me it has a mixed image - you see it often covered / mentioned in Golf magazines but less so in Golf shops (beside the wedges of course). Back to the topic: @Daveraul - may I ask what is your problem with the egg spoon? I currently use the egg 5 wood and I'm quite happy with it but would like to get more distance. So the obvious choice would be the egg spoon in 16.5. That said I like the design of the Fourteen much better.
