  1. So I've narrowed it down to the following drivers (in no particular order) Modart D 8.5 (possibly the new adjustable version) Jbeam 435 Black 9* JBeam Zy-11 - 8* JBeam 535 - 9* Egg 1 - 7.5* TRPX D 8.5* Honma Tour World 455S - 9.5* Mauruman Zeta - 9.5* I swing about 115-125mph (when playing a round). My miss is a hook. I am going to use either a Diamana X, Aldila Rogue 125 MSI or Mitsubishi Kuro Kage XT shaft (all of these are extremely low spin) with whatever head I choose. My main concern is hitting the ball straight. I just want to be able to swing the club and hit it straight. Lost balls and OB shots kill my scores. What do you guys think I should go for? Thanks a bunch guys.
  2. Interesting...
  3. Dead square/straight! Excellent! Ya the Egg Seven I sold because it was slightly closed and caused hooks. If this one is dead straight I might have to get it. How's the forgiveness? I've narrowed it down to the Egg 1, Modart D, Jbeam Black, JBeam ZY-11. Going to put the MSI 125 Rogue in one of these. Have you tried many of these?
  4. Supo67 I used to have the EGG 7 and while I thought it was a low launch/spin beast the face was slightly closed for some stupid reason. Is the Egg 1 slightly closed too?
  5. How does this play? Low spin, launch shaft?
  6. Matte finish?
  7. Hmmm, that's disappointing. Any improvement over the original?
  8. Any updates on this? Adjustable loft? Identical to MA01D?
  9. It looks like Bamboo. I'm going with Grafalloy
  10. The thing sounds impressively high tech. Has anyone hit it? Thoughts? Comparisons? Thanks!
  11. They sound interesting. 20% more forgiveness than last years, adjustability (I think from 9.5 to either 8.5 or 10.5) and ability to swap out the weights. Has anyone tried these out? What are your thoughts?
  12. Chris would you say this, the Egg 1, the Nabla, Modart Adjustable or the new Honma is best suited for my needs? Straight/forgiving, low spin?

    +3 on that!

Sold me on these. I'll be ordering a set.
  15. I used to swing down (over the top) more with my wedges and then yes I would suck them back but I also had Nippon wedge shafts when I did that. With my Gold's and SKy Dream Jumps and iron shafts I don't suck them back as much.... but i'm also not trying to hit down on the ball as much as that leads to an over the top move for me.
  16. Interesting 435 Black Out is that straight... it's definitely low spin and long so this may be a good choice. Has anyone hit the PRGR Nabla? That thing sounds high tech. So for a driver it sounds like Ryoma, Glorie, and 435 Black Out and T388 Fairway - Ryoma F3, Egg Spoon, VG3 Hybrid - Egg Spoon, VG3 Anyone else?
  17. How's the distance with the Honma compared to a wood hybrid?
  18. First Epon, Crazy, Miura.
  19. Time to get realistic and put a new driver, fairway wood and hybrid in the bag. Irons I can hit straight all day but woods not so much. I need each of these clubs to be as easy to hit straight as possible. Not sure if the term "forgiving" means point and shoot straight or good distance on mis hits but I need the former. I use ultra low launch and spin shafts and typically an 8.5* head so I'm not too worried about a low spin/launch head as the loft and shaft should take care of that. My miss is typically a hook. What are your guys picks for the straightest J-spec driver, fairway wood and hybrid available today? Appreciate the help!
  20. Thanks Chris, so where does the JBeam 535 fit into the mix then?
  21. Chris, how is the forgiveness on these two drivers? I'm seriously considering the black-out, the 535, the PRGR Nabla adjustable except it's only 9.5 and I need 8.5 or the new Modart Adjustable. I'm looking for straight drives so forgiveness and low spin more than anything else. What do you suggest out of these?
  22. I love their shafts but their lineup is confusing. Any idea what they're premier shaft is these days? Meaning most technologically advanced? Diamana X Diamana Boron Proto Kuro Kage Tour Edition Kuro Kage XT Kuro Kage Silver Tini Diamana + series? Third Generation Diamana series The Fubuki series I know the Diamana X is full length 80T Carbon Fibre but it's now 3 years old so is there something more advanced now?
  23. Also Chris, is it possible to post a photo of all the different paint-fill colors/options? That would really help us out.
