  1. I bought a bunch of .600 grips but even built up, they just can't get to midsize properly. They either turn rock hard or you just can't properly make them midsize. Does anyone know of any japanese grip companies that produce .580 or midsize grips? I'd like to stay with the theme of all japanese parts.
  2. Ya I definitely agree with you. My finish looks disgusting.
  3. Hahah, no I don't swing that hard during a round. It takes about 12 -15 warm up swings to get up to that level. I don't hit the range before I play very often (need to start) so i'm usually ice cold on the first tee, and by the time I tee off for the next hole, it's too long of a wait to really get loose.
  4. Here's some footage I took tonight in full speed. It was 1am and I'm in bare feet here, so it's a little bizarre. I'll try to take some footage outdoors, maybe tomorrow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A39S7u1RW4Q
  5. Pure swing speed between us would be close, however, he looks a hell of a lot better doing it, could destroy me in a round of golf and his consistency with the long drive club is obviously not even a contest. I'm a work in progress. But, you have to start somewhere. And I agree, he has a nice looking swing with his irons.
  6. Here, I uploaded it to youtube. Still can't the pictures up, though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EjcsE-CKwE
  7. Seriously, what the hell's the matter with this thing?
  8. I'm trying to get the pictures to upload and the video but the god damn thing is a piece of s**t.
  9. Had my second lesson at GolfTec Santa Barbara today and after the lesson, I hung around and took some hacks. I started getting back to the gym this past week so my body is very sore, as are my forearms from a grip strengthening program I just began. So yes, what I'm saying is that i'm not at 100% but I still managed to get the club head speed up to 140mph and my ball speed up to 221mph, with a 45.5 inch club. I asked both instructors how accurate their camera's analyzer device thing is and they told me: "Ball speed and swing speed are extremely accurate, distance ...uh, not as much, because it uses an algorithm to calculate distance, where as club head speed and ball speed are read based on real time something, something". Anyway, don't look at the swing (or the hideous face angle at impact), all that's a work in progress. Just thought you guys would be interested in seeing what it looks like swinging a club at this kind of speed, while in slow motion. And to brag a little bit... to be honest.
  10. Pretty cool. I'd rather have the G55 Mercedes but it's also probably 100K more.
  11. Could be, but based on my experience hitting the two, the new one without a doubt, launches lower and spins less. I'm also hitting it left more, but that is probably 100% due to my swing..... and tinkering a little.
  12. I'm pretty sure it's mostly the shaft. I've had lots of of 7.5* drivers and I even have a 5* long drive Krank Rage head and it flies about as high as the Crazy.
  13. Interesting. Distance is about the same, yes.
  14. Sorry, I didn't update. The X-7's are sold.
  15. Ya it's something man.
  16. I don't honestly know. If you want it to kick and you don't want it to skim the ground, you have to go at it pretty aggressively. If you hit it as high as you do and with no roll, I think you should seriously consider this shaft.
  17. Got my Crazy 435 8.0* with the new version of the Black 50 (8.7). I thought the old black 50 was a beast. This new one launches a LOT lower with a LOT less spin. Seriously, i've never seen a ball run this much. I swing pretty darn quick and I was having trouble getting this combo up in the air the odd time. It's easily the lowest launching and lowest spinning combo i've ever hit. Feel wasn't quite as harsh as with the older black 50... not sure why. The Crazy head doesn't have my personal favorite kind of feel - which is more pingy sounding/feeling but it's a nice muted feel/sound. Dispersion was outstanding... same as the old Black 50. If you're looking for the lowest spinning, lowest launching combo out there, I can't imagine anything doing it better than this. VERY impressive. Note - Unless you swing very hard, honestly, you have NO chance of hitting this combo high enough.
  18. Hey, just saw your reply. Ya, i'm getting the itch to try this shaft out. I have the Black 50 and the Quadra Fire express Proto Pro X (haven't hit it much yet so my thoughts are still up in the air). Kind of want to see how the 787 matches up. Would have to pair it with the 910 D3 Titleist.. that's my only other driver besides the Crazy 435.

Weird, what did you click on? I for whatever reason couldn't find them.

Looks as if Crazy took their head covers off their website. Anyone know where I can view what they offer?
  21. Asked for the sharpest, most lethal grooves possible.
  22. Ok i'm confused again. There's a JBeam 425, 435 and 445? I've only ever heard of the 435 and the new (featured on Tario's Blog) 445. Is there a JBeam website anywhere?
  23. I'm sorry I meant the 435Jbeam spins less than the new 445Jbeam? There is no 425. My bad. Would the Crazy 435 spin a little more than both of these or what are you thoughts?
