  1. Have you tried both the C-Tapers and Blues? I like everything about the C-Tapers except that they're not JDM (haha) and the feel is apparently just "ok".
  2. Damn! I really appreciate taking the time you always do to answer my and other people's questions on here! VERY appreciated! JBeam's don't come in 8 or 8.5 so that's out The Yamaha Tour is interesting! Looks fantastic and it comes in 9* which is a little high lofted for me but I might be able to make it work. I'd really like to own an Epon Driver again. I had Technity 5 years ago and my swing stunk then and I didn't hit consistently but when I did, the feel of that thing was the best ever. Without a doubt. No content. I'd like to experience that feeling again. Plus Epon can do custom 8 or 8.5* lofts. I'd pick up the Crazy II as i've heard it's even lower launch and lower spin than the original 435 but the dummies don't make 8.5! This new Tourstage coming out right away looks interesting too! Ryoma - Thing's ugly and I don't know - doesn't seem like it's for me, as you stated. So I have the Crazy Black 50 right now - if I went to the CB 80 LS II (that's Crazy's lowest launching/spinning shaft, right?) and it's 80t rather than 50t, what am I going to notice, in all seriousness? Any difference?
  3. P9003X over the Crazy CB-50?? Reasoning? Between the Yamaha, an Epon 102 8.5 and the Ryoma, what do you think? Thanks!
  4. Bought the 2011 Onoff forged irons a few months back but being stuck in Canada, I haven't been golfed in what feels like years. Anyway, back to California soon (thank god) so I need to get these shafted. I'd like to go KBS C-Tapers because they launch low, spin low and have that nice satin finish that would look great with the Onoff heads. Downside is that they aren't JDM - we're all sickos. I'm also considering Shimada Tours or Pros - I've heard they feel great - mid launch, mid spin... don't know much else about them. Was also considering Nippon Modus 3's - I've heard they're awesome but i've also heard they're absolute crap... Lastely, True Temper Monacos - I've heard they're outstanding but they're flighted... not sure how I feel about that. The 2011 OnOff Forged are supposedly one of the softest feeling irons ever so it'd be nice to compliment them with a super soft feeling shaft - but lowish spin/launch.
  5. The Crazy FX 435 performs VERY well but honestly, every driver out there these days performs well. The reason, at least in my opinion, to go JDM is knowing you have something unique and "feel". I definitely need as low launching and low spinning a head as possible. Anything coming down the pipe? I was thinking Ryoma but i'm sure they'll be popping out a Ryoma II soon.. Epon - feel would be awesome but again, i'd rather wait for something new... The new Tourstage adjustable driver looks interesting... Any other drivers coming out that look to be VERY promising? Another thing... this monocoque stuff - in real world results, what differences are you going to see with a monocoque designed head over a regular forged head? Thanks as always, guys.
  6. I have the original 435 and I don't like the feel at all, or the sound but it's distance and low spin/launch is VERY impressive, especially when teamed up with a Crazy. With that being said, I'm going to sell it soon and look for something new in 2012.
  7. Cool, so I (i'm in Canada) should just stick to the US site then. Great! Glad to know there's no difference in quality - or least none that they want you to know about...
  8. Why are they shipped from the UK instead of Japan and how come the different look? No questioning your knowledge just curious as to why they'd make a different looking shaft and shift out of the UK...
  9. Looking for some Shimada Shafts for my 2011 OnOff Forged irons as well as 3 Sky Dream Jump Type Bite wedges. On the US site all their shafts have green stickers and they offer the "Tour" and the "Pro" for irons. For wedges they offer the "Tour Wedge" and the "Tour Wedge Black". On the Japanese site none of the shafts have the green stickers, and they offer a "K's Tour"? For wedge shafts, there's the K's NW110 and the K's HW120... Can someone please tell me what in the hell the deal is with all of this... I would REALLY appreciate it.

Can't wait to see the next Epon blades and 303's! Also the VG3 successor.
  11. Nicest boxser to date by far. I've hated all of them until this model.

Cool, good to know. In my experience, dealing with different "shaft people" all over, the P9003X is the greatest shaft ever made. I'm sure a lot of people would vouch for Crazy's now but taking into account, N. America, that is the general consensus.

    Compared to the P900X?

I hear the new Tour AD BB line is a lower launching and lower spinning version of the Tour AD DI line. So i'm assuming this new BB line and the P9003X are GD lowest spin and launch offerings. Anyone know which would be the one to go with if looking for lowest spin and launch? Sorry, that's a lot of "low's". Thanks.

Tourstage X-UT or Royal Collection Twin Rail Cavity.
  16. I have/had the Crazy FX435 with a Crazy Black 50 and it is/was awesome (until it snapped) - super long, great roll, low spin, etc, etc. Recommended big time! I also have the FEX and absolutely hate it. High launching and spinning crapola. I had it in a Titleist 910 D3 and the made for Diamana worked 10 times better for me. I'm actually going to sell it pretty soon.
  17. I thought everyone hated the Modus 3 - Gary isn't a big fan, everyone on Golfwrx hates them compared to the SPB's and KBS C-Tapers, etc...
  18. If you don't like I'd be interested in taking it off your hands.
  19. Epon for me but i've never tried Yamaha. Prob Onoff or Tourstage third.

Read Gocchin's blog a while ago about the 2011 Onoff Forged irons being the softest ever J-Spec irons. I'm now reading the new Yamaha 2012 Limited's are right there as well. So which wins? Anything else that competes with them?
  21. I find you just know what your ball's going to do each time... more so than other wedges i've tried. I'd like to order a 52/60 but they don't make them. Hope they don't stop producing the non conforming versions
  22. I have the Type bite and it spins a TON and feels very nice.
