  1. Just saw this new putter as well as the Zero (which is available April 5th) What does "This is a low spin model, targeted for players with H/S 47 mean?"
  2. Mjr. D replied to Mjr. D's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Can someone chime in on this please. I'm very interested.
  3. Quick question, of all the drivers available... all of them, which is the most technologically advanced?
  4. Is it good and when is it released?
  5. Hahah hilarious reply to the WRX'er. I can't do Lynx - I just can't. If i go in the 7's i'm going with the Egg 7. We'll see how it, the tour stage 707 and a few others review, first, though.

Cool let me know how both of those drivers go! Thanks.
  7. Hahah good to know. Ya the Titleist VG3 irons are fairly nice.. not my favourite looking but the brushed cavity area looks really nice. I saw a few pictures of Royal Collection's new Fairway and I believe, hybrid, with the twin rails - looks a lot nicer than last year. The tour stage 707 adjustable driver seems like a good buy - looking forward to hearing if it's a low spinning head. No Epon Zero there but i'm perplexed by that head. The Diamana X shaft looks interesting... not sure but apparently it's mid-high launch in the softer flexes and according to Stew, low spin and low launch in the XX flex??? Weird. Hope it's true. What's the story on the new Pentacross shafts? High modulus? Haven't seen pics of the new Mizuno wedges but damn those Vokey forged wedges are nice! So are the Fourteens! Not mentioned but the new Miura caddy bags look nice as does their new Driver - http://translate.google.ca/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.miuragiken.com/&ei=YtlGT5y_JKX40gGaibmGDg&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CDgQ7gEwAA&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dmiura%2Bgiken%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26client%3Dsafari%26rls%3Den%26prmd%3Dimvnsfd I still wish more companies, especially Crazy would offer lower lofts in their drivers - their shafts are made for power guys yet they don't even offer an 8.5 head. Dumb.
  8. Do you mean the 707? What are the differences between the J40 driver and the 707 other than the adjustability?
  9. What was the highlight of the show, equipment wise?
  10. Mjr. D replied to driverhead's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
No but I'm sure excited to find out.
  11. Ya I can't see myself going Lynx. I'm really liking the looks of this Tourstage - I like Tourstage woods a lot. Irons not as much. The prices are so high it's just tough to justify when you can get a Bridgestone J40 or a Callaway Razr-FIT which are both VERY good drivers... just not Jspec (which does matter to me!).

Low low spin i'm guessing but what about launch angle?
  13. Mjr. D replied to HULC1105's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
    Custom lofts?
  14. Bah.... probably more like 145. Lol. No but seriously, are u a high ball hitter, low/high spin, etc..
  15. Oh nice, those are the two drivers I was interested in. mygolfspy.com gave the J40 the best driver they've ever reviewed award. How hard to you swing, high ball, low ball hitter, high spin, low spin?

When you said "I was assured they'll be low launching low low spin" what are you talking about? Didn't you just try the shafts?
  17. Mjr. D replied to supo's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
"just for Mjr. D" - hahah yes!! Thanks man. So verdict - should I pick it up? Low spin, low enough launch?
  18. No sure it's released yet... Man I can't decide between the new Callaway Razr FIT which is supposed to be AWESOME, japanese or not, the new Bridgestone J40 430, this Tourstage 707 or this mysterious Epon Zero! Deciding what equipment to buy is more difficult than playing the actual game.

And ya, I saw that video too. The kid's unreal!

Hahahah BIG "if"... it goes straight. My approach shots with wedges suck too - too handsy. Putter saves me at least. It's a tough game but oh so rewarding.

I launch the hell out of the ball - way too much spin and height and I end up loosing major yardage due to my steep swing. Without being obnoxious, i'm a big athletic guy so i can swing it very quick. On those swing radar things i've been as high as 149mph. But i've heard those aren't totally accurate. I'm sure I could get in the 145 range with a long drive club, though.

PERFECT! It comes with the Tour AD BB7 too! Still, does it only come in 10.5? Please tell me they will do custom orders in 8.5...

Vegaman peaked my curiosity with his post in the Epon Zero thread - I'd like to know the differences in titanium metals used in woods. From top of the line best of the best to the most average - "6-4 ti is a budget s**t metal and only DAT 55, 56, SP700 or that special Endo Ti" Also this monocoque structure design.... is this a big advantage?? Can someone do a quick summary of all the different face metals and what is considered the best and "worst".
  24. When is it going to be available. I'm either going Epon Zero (if it's not exclusively in 10.5), Tourstage 707 or Egg 7. Egg 7 looks kind of big though... Other considerations are Yamaha 2012 and Crazy 435II but they don't do below 9, which stinks.
  25. That would be my plan but the thing only comes in 10.5 for some ridiculous reason.
