  1. Interested in your crazy 435. How do I go about tansaction

  2. I am interested possibly. How do I go about this process. Contact me
  3. I hit my 5 iron about 175 yards carry. Off the tee I can add another 10 yards carry.
  4. Tourstage x-blade CB2 with Axiv 749M shaft review: I had these for about 3 weeks now. Tourstage x-blade CB2 sets up compact with thin blade like setup. Very clean lines and from the address position cannot tell that it is a cavity back. Since my gamer was Mizuno MP 33, I usally like a small compact head. I do not like large iron heads with wide sole. I tend to sweep the ball and the additional bounce in the wide sole in irons just does not feel right. The x-blade seems little firmer in feel than the MP 33. Not as sweet feeling as MP 33 in terms of when hit pure. However, the longer irons seems to be definitely easier to get airborne than my MP 33. In terms of forgiveness, it seems to be only slightly more forgiving than my MP 33. Shaft wise, the Axiv 749M shaft is awesome! Initially, I thought this shaft would be too strong for me looking at the spec, but it feels right to me. It feels smooth and very stable with very tight dispersion. Harder I swing the better it seems to perform. I played a rifle 5.5 shaft in my MP 33 and the Axiv shaft definitely feels just as accurate and easier to swing faster. It has a piercing trajectory against the wind and hold its line very well without ballooning. I recently tried adila 105 green shaft in regular flex with bridgestone J33 cavity back which I still have. The new tourstage easily replaced the J33's. I am about 1/2 club longer in distance with these irons. I am not sure about the iron head x-blade CB2 being superior for me than the MP 33's but the Axiv iron shaft is definitely sweet stable shaft that I was looking for. For now the Tourstage x-blade CB2 with Axiv 749M shaft has finally displaced my MP 33's as my current gamer. Now, I am a true convert to the superior Japanese premium brand since I just got the Epon 460ZR with the Roddio 6WA-SR shaft and it is also performing well for me. Dragon
  5. Thanks Gocchin, I am only 5 feet 2 inches tall. I have no problems hitting the fairways. I am always looking for distance, however. I read in the California Golf Technology that in order to play longer shaft for increase in distance you have to play at least 47 to 48 inches in the longer driver to make it matter. Otherwise shorter is usually better such as 44.5 inches for most people. For me I seem to have less problems with handling length. When I picked up Fourteen J606 with very light Mitsubishi Bassara shaft at standard length, it seem to be wimpy and light to me with inconsistency and less distance so it was a perfect driver to experiment with longer length. At 47 inches it was D3 swing weight and this seem to be more in line with what I am used to. I actually hit it further than my past gamer, Callaway FT-3 when hit well. Only thing is I was not as consistent with it but even my inconsistent shots were almost far as my Callaway FT-3. I still hit 12-13 fairways with it. This is why I went with 46 inches with Roddio. Swing weight suppose to be D2-D3 but not confirmed. It feels good to me. I had Chris installed the SR flex shaft standard untipped so that it will play slightly softer at longer length, but allowing me to go to standard length if I did not like it still making it play to SR flex. I figure with 6 WA shaft slightly softer would still be OK for me since I normally have an average tempo anyway. For now, I will leave it alone. I have no problem hitting the sweet zone. But I am always tinkering with my set up. I will definitely give more feedback once I play with it more. Dragon
  6. Just received Epon 460 ZR 10.5 degree square face, standard lie, Roddio 6WA-SR shaft at 46 inches from Chris last Saturday. I have played 2 quick round of golf with this. Here is my initial impression: Cosmetic: Big head but well balanced and classic shape in appearance. Excellent finish, non distracting. Shaft cosmetic was white on top, and red with big letters and shaft specs printed. Glossy red finish on the underside and white which is bit bright but not too distracting and servs as good alignment reminder. Very quality expensive looking finish overall. Very distinctive in appearance and no way to mistaken with anyother shaft. Feel: Soft forged feeling head but not too muted. Not harsh on mis**ts but easy to tell when hit flush. Shaft feels solid, not whippy, smooth and not boardy. No significant vibrations. Feels it can take anything that I can dish it out. I can feel the head throughout the swing path giving me confidence to swing away. Sound: More muted than the Fourteen J606 but more tingy than Callaway FT-3. Overall nice tink sound but as far as the sound goes I became more partial to the Fourteen J606 sound. Distance: Initially no longer than my current gamer Fourteen J606 10 degree with 47 inch Mitsubishi Bassara. The J606 is an experiment since it was too light and unstable at 45 inches long for me. But at 47 inches it gave me longer distance than my Callaway FT-3 9.5 degree wit NVS stiff shaft at 45 inches. However, the initial distance did not seem any significantly shorter. As I got used to the new driver's balance and swing weight and its solid feeling shaft I began to gain confidence and increase my swing speed without much consequences. Now it appears I am definitely hitting it little longer but more importantly consistently hitting at longer length. But unsure how significantly longer since wind comlicated things. Definitely more penetrating into the wind but not sure when wind is not present. What is important is, I could definitely hit it long as J606 with more consistency. Trajectory: Mid to high trajectory pattern with no ballooning and penetrating and stable flight into the wind. Forgiveness: Very forgiving with mis**ts. Overall, I was initially little disappointed with no signifcant distance gain, but as I gained confidence with the new driver's stability of the head and the shaft combo I am definitely ending up little further, more consistently. I can swing hard without holding back with good swing path and nice benefit is this increase in swing speed is even transferring to my other clubs. With my swing speed of 90-100 m/hr with average tempo, I was debating between 5BA vs 6BA vs 6WA. I chose 6WA because I wanted a room for growth and wanted a low spinning shaft combined with high lauching head with tight dispersion and taking left side out of play. I may have more distance with the harder kicking with 6BA (don't know since I have not tried this combo) but so far the 6WA shaft seems to be fulfilling what I need thus far. I will report back once I gain more experience with true game condition and also had chance to compare to my playing partners to see true distance gains. I have high hopes thus far! Dragon
  7. I don't really have any technical spec on the shaft. I gather my information and made decision of the shaft based on above mentione criteria. When I was alluding to 1/4 flex softer it was just a gross estimate based on the fact that I tend to fall regular and stiff on shaft recommendation whenever I get tested and depending on the shaft itself. Also based on just looking at the recommended swing speed on the graph displayed for the 6WA shaft. The graph bar seems to start on low 90's where the SR flex probably fall under. If 1/4 flex softer (don't know what cpm difference this would be) may be the swing speed of high 80's to 100 would still be supported. Of course this dosn't take into other factors beside the swing speed in terms of loading ability. Maybe someone with more knowlege can chime in?
  8. Did not get fitted by tourspecgirl. However, I extensively read her recommendation on both the AXIV shaft and the Roddio shaft based on forum members swing speed and there characteristic. I just made my best guess based on cumulative knowledge and the shaft availability. I was actually debating on the W-5BA shaft originally but it was out of stock per Chris. So I had to pick one of the 6WA vs 6BA. I picked the higher launch 10.5 degree Epon 460ZR head and basically married to lower spin shaft which is the 6WA. If I picked the 9.5 degree head I would have went with the higher spinning 6BA shaft. So I went for the higher lauch with lower spin combo in my mind. Also, I wanted to take the left side out of play because for me I don't mind a shot that is pushed to the right but I hate the filling if I pull one to the left. My bad tee shot is when I launch it low to the left. My best shot in my mind is a mid to high flying with straight or slightly fading trajectory. When I am really on and if I trust the shaft, I will get aggressive on my tee shot at times. My swing speed average is about 90-95 on the launch monitor whenever I test it. My tempo is probably average but I am aggressive through the ball. I have less wrist lag but I am currently actively working on hinging more aggressively. This is why I chose the lower flex rating at SR rating. My only concern is weather I should ask chris for even slightly softer mounting than the standard SR rating - maybe 1/4 flex softer if there is such a thing to sweeten the shaft to sweet spot of my average driver speed. Any comment?
  9. Just Ordered Epon 460ZR 10.5 degree with Roddio W-6WA SR flex club in 45.75 inch final length from Chris. With all the hype of Epon and Roddio shaft I decided my first venture into TSG premium brand will be the Ultimate driver endorsed by this website. Since I wanted left side out of play and my swing speed is only about 90-95 miles/hr on the average by a launch monitor I decided to go with the SR flex in the W-6WA roddio shaft. Hope I made the right decision. Will be eagerly reporting back!

Hope I made the right decision. If this club delivers than I will definitely be venturing into more epon stuff such as woods and irons and wedges even. For my investment sake I hope I will be epon for life as well. I am totally psyched!!!
  11. Curious what length driver that the TSG club members are using especially when they reshaft with Japanese premium shaft such as AXIV and Roddio and so on. What is the ideal total club length measure from bottom of the club head to the tip of the handle for you. I am currently experimenting with various drive length from 44.5 to 46 inches to maximize distance while still being able to keep in play. Also curious what the swing weight of your club is at that length.
  12. Wow, what a collection of wedges! Would love to here about your feedback on your initial impression and your initial favorite. Cosmetic vs performance vs amount of spin vs accuracy vs feel. I am currently debating on many of the wedges that you currently have.
  13. I love the look of the new Yururi raw black wedges! Also the selection is awesome from 41 degree to 61 degree basically blending 4 degree gap from lot of the stong lofted modern iron set up. Apparently Chris current gamer is the Yururi flat black irons. Is this part of the continuation of the raw black wedges? He compares it to the MP 33 but with much superior feel. Is this possible? Is it more fogiving compare to MP 33? How will the finish hold up? I did not see Yururi flat black irons in the tourspec proshop. Any pictures of the flat black irons? So-o many choices!!!
  14. Beautiful, what what be the ideal swing speed for using this particular driver in this particular shaft?
  15. Dying to find out about your feedback! I actually just saw that the offering is from 41 degree to 61 degree. Awesome selection! I am just drooling over the fact that I can have same wedge performance from 9 iron down to 61 degree wedge. After all golf is mostly about 150 yards and inside if you keep the drive in play. How is the finish? Is it durable or will wear out over time and rust. Is spin better than with Fourteen V3 vs Epon technity?
  16. Is it still possible to get Epon Technica 380 froum tourspecgolf proshop, did not see it on the site. Would reshafting the FT-3 with AXIV or Roddio way to go?
  17. On this forum I wee most of you guys raving about Epon technity 460 ZR but what about the technity 415 ZR model? Pro and cons using the 460 vs 415. Anyone has any experience. I did read somewhere in this forum that epon technica model 390 or so was actually the longest driver per Epon? Is this correct? Basically looking to add some yardage. I know with today's driver head the shaft matter more but still want to find the optimal head to go with optimal shaft.
  18. How much did you adjust and was there any defect in the finish? I was told by the Fourteen Rep that there may be a "shrinkage" in the finish but tour player get ajusted without any problems they just don't do it inhouse since it may mar the finish. I need 3-4 degree ajustment depending on weather I will cut it 1/2 inch.
  19. 1150 tour in stiff or regular? With 75-80 SS in irons?
  20. Driver ss is 90-96 on average currently on launch monitor data. But originally when I was fitted to the 5.5 shaft I had average of 95 with occassionally low 100's during my late 30's. I am currently 43 years old was getting out of shape since stopped playing aerobic sports like tennis in my 30's, trying to get back in shape. I have always tested between regular and stiff shaft on american shaft and I think I was recommended 5.3 rifle shaft rating at one time last year for my driver rating? What do you think better to go with regular with Japanese premium brand since they will be more consistent in quality of the shaft or go with the stiff since the Japanese shaft rating is slightly weaker? Thanks for your interest!!!
  21. Very informative, thanks!!! I noticed you said the JC606 was 1 degree closed is this how it come from the factory. That would be a deal breaker for me. I normally like mine square to slightly open. I hate the look of closed wood on address. I like to take the left side out of play if I can since I just do not like the look of ball immediately taking off left even if it staightens out thereafter. Do you know if JC 406 comes closed from the factory as well? I did not see on fourteen web site that these wood came 1 degree closed. I thought that it came square from the factory?
  22. Thanks gocchin you are everywhere!!! I love your advatar! I read lots of your post on this forum so I know how helpful and informative you are. I am 5'2" and have been playing 1/2 inch short and 3 degree flat on my Mizuno MP 33 in 5.5 rifle shaft. It was a set up that Mizuno turck rep set me up after demoing club at an outdoor range since about 7yrs ago or so. I have tried various cavity back such as titleist 760, mizuno MX-23, and callaway x-tour in different shaft configuration such as stock graphite shaft in my tetleist in stiff, rifle project x 5.0 on mizuno, and s300 stiff on callaway. I always seem to go back to my Mizuno MP 33 for my gamer, however. That is why I am currently in search of new irons and this site I found by accident interested me in the Japanese premium line. I am looking for the club that can replace my MP 33 club. I do find my 5.5 rifle very stable when playing well feeling the flex and all but I seem to always be between regular and stiff whenever I have my swing analyzed by recommendation and seem that I can go either way depending on spec of that specific shaft. That is why I am trying to determine which shaft and flex to try especially in the NS Pro line versus Shimada steel. Currently 950 vs 1050 vs 1150 vs regular or stiff. Thanks!!!
  23. Thanks for the feedback! What swing speed and tempo and wrist lag do you have? Which Roddio shaft did you decide on? What did you not like about the Stock DREV Stiff shaft characteristic? You can see I am very serious about the Epon 460 as well. I am trying to do my homework so that I can order the right one from the get go if I can
  24. Thanks Claus!!! You can see why I am torn between the two clubs. I will be able to make up my mind better, once I know which shaft would be best for my swing speed as well as knowing what options I might go with. Epon type J seem to have better customization out of factory so this is definitely a plus for the Epon brand. If the NS pro 950 or NS pro 1050 is a good shaft for me and if fourteen forged 770 can be bent without any significant damage to the finish it may win out. I will be definitely be relieved once I make up my mind!!!
