  1. What you shafting the f2 with? Fw80?
  2. I actually like them. I'm sure they are prettier in person. There must Be a reason for the design. Thinking
  3. Up to you. When I try brand new drivers and I'm not sure if I will like it I usually tape the sole. Just the area where it comes in contact with turf. Wll not affect playability unless your using double sided tape or sandpaper lol. Now I just tape the edge of the crown. I've ruined too many crowns , now I know better
  4. Lol i fear the skyball when hitting really shallow woods. did the same with a maruman shuttle i feared teeing it up with the egg and skyballed my brand new club 1st round, i felt so bad i sold the club soon after. im sure you guys have all your stories of how bad you felt after scratching up a new and pristine club. well like i said im not sure if il like the club shafted with a new DJ7S playing at 43" d2sw and 266cpm. sound a lot better than the previous shaft. now i can swing away without fear of damaging the club. lets see what this guy can do.
  5. looking forward to your findings. i think the bb7s S not x? will be a winner. you do know that the BB series is the reincarnation of the 9003 line? well thats what i have heard from all the J-spec talk. that 9003 still can keep up with the new guys. let us know how it goes
  6. Doc mike, you hit the nail in the head! so true. its actually like the CLS with strange lines. but after looking at it it grows with you indeed. clean lines without any words and just the logo. still debating if i will get a set.
  7. up on the website. unfortunately have to get the whole 8pc set
  8. wow , so you thinking of replacing your sacred Rcs? i am so curious. thing is they have too many options. at the moment i am in a toss up between 54/58 or 52/58 for my main wedges. the 52 is getting too long for my needs. the 46 is defintely next on my list as i will not be replacing my 302s anytime soon. planning on sticking a DG spinner + on it. if the62 is that good may even have to get that before rthe 46. the 58 with my swing and experimental shortgame routines is proving erratic. most especially on tight lies and on heavy rough where i have to lob it high and land on a dime. im not confident with the grind on my yamaha 58! Why did you choose 62 over the 60? they have soo many options its confusing edit: whats the difference between these wedges and the TVD/SM4 aside from the forged head?
  9. updating this thread. so far i havent been using a 3w since i pulled my 9003 shaft out of my 3w and set it aside. so now im using a ryoma f2 shafted with machline ngs 7002s. it worked on my 5w but in the ryoma suddenly it doesnt work. i dont know if its head or shaft or both. i suspect its the shaft. i will pull it and install this new shaft. hopefully it works out the way i hope it would. been debating between the QT green and the DJS. they say the DJ is the ultimate shaft for a fw. lets see
  10. after all the shafts i have tried i keep coming back to GD and Quadra. have tried most of the crazies with the exception of the boron and the royal deco and i can say definitively that i prefer GD and Quadra. something about the crazy lineup that doesnt get along with me and im not speaking about the price. i find that of all the shafts i have tried, fex proto, and any of the higher end GDs take my vote. my favorites are the QT green /md for fairway woods and 9003, DI, Dj for drivers. i have not tried the BB but that is next on my list. The Dj in a FW is phenomenal reminds me of an updated version of the old classic QT green. as we speak im building my 3wood with DJ7s and will install a DI7s in the yamaha 440 i got from you. seriously i think GD shafts are underpriced for the performance they give. Oh and that Quadra WB max driver shaft looks interesting as well
  11. FANTASTIC! these are the lengendary drivers from TM! much better than the white stuff theyve been releasing.
  12. i just took mine out of the spare bag yesterday. i loved this driver i think i might use mine again with a bb7s!
  13. WOW now i want one. currently playing a 52/58 yamaha combo but i want to move to the ping anser forged in 50/54 or 52 56. im defintely going that route as they were the easiest wedges ive hit! but with the lob thinking of this 62 wedge. hows that 46* wedge? nothing wrong with my PW but sometimes i get bored
  14. i cant play the epon blades but id still game them.
  15. If the shaft is heavy enough no worries. If thinking sub 43 then Just use a fw shaft
  16. Played yesterday and Think I am done with 14deg woods. I have the Yamaha 14 and can only hit this off the tee, so inconsistent off the fairway, get low Worm burners, will give the Ryoma another shot and although I have had not Much success off the tee I think I will just tee it lower. What do you have your Ryoma fws woods shafted with?
  17. well i actually made a mistake, shaft is m37 which is senior flex. i may actually give it to my dad for fathers day. cant see myself using it. its huuuge!!
  18. let me know guys. will not use any other shaft but GD in my woods. let me know. thanks
  19. i have had my first experience with Akira! i was surprised that they are damn good. for the price you can get them on the net its sick and utterly blasphemous , they can easily charge double and i would still get them. highly highly underrated and much better than the Jbeam fairway woods i borrowed from a friend. the one i have isnt listed on the site? need more info on these puppies, can someone chime in? these seem to be deeper and play square to open depending on the angle. feels so soft and ball rockets of the face, i have had the chance to game the 5w on several occasions and love it! the 3w is yet to be gamed, as i am loving my XV 14! here are some pics
  20. is anyone getting one? chris will you be getting one to demo?
  21. the PRGR eggbird is huge, reminds me of the ryoma F3 that they enlarged into a driver. more so than the ryoma driver. from all the talk this is a very long forgiving combo. hmm give to my dad or keep? check out the akira 5w. so beautiful and compact. probably the most compact shallow 5w i have seen out there.
  22. yeah my gear is slowly turning yamaha. Driver yamaha, woods yamaha, wedges yamaha and all from you! only thing thats not yammy are my irons and my utes! im going to give the BB7S a shot, will get one for the 440. yeah the yamaha 14xv is amazing. i can hit mine as long as my driver(sometimes) i let it go for 2 years before my friend finally gave it back to me. its never leaving my bag. i chose this over the RYOMA f3 which my dad gave to me. ryoma is good but gathering dust in the idle bag. yes i know have an idle bag thats slowly being filled to capacity. thats where the akiras are headed if they dont get love. in the famous words of Roy Scheider, " your going to need a bigger boat" in my case bag!
