  1. frank, well these are just spectacular. No first love or honeymoon Stage here as I have owned these irons in satin long ago when they first came out, just wasn't good enough to use them. But after gaming some players cb post injury like the onoff 247 and the yonex nano vs these seem like a walk in the park. The cavities actually look sig bigger than my smallish yonex irons. Now these seem real easy to hit, larger sweetspot and Way longer probably 1.5 clubs even though the loft difference is only 1deg. I attribute these to the well engineered heads and the shafts. I noticed some loss of distance with the yonex due to the higher flight of the nspro 1050, with the modus I was able to get so e of the distance back and gain more. I think I am hitting these as long as my 5o2s which have. Pw loft of 44 vs 46. I guess that the yonex were very good training clubs and have improved my ball striking significantly. I don't think I would have gotten the same results had I jumped straight to these. I owe a lot tl the nano vs but frankly after these they pale in comparison. I got my clubs bent 1deg flat in all irons and had the lofts as is. So far so good nothing funny with any of the irons. Need get used to the shafts as they play different from the super easy 1050s. The m3s are easily lower launch yet carry more once they hit the apex. Hard stepping was a good idea. Glad I got that right. Just have to get used to the new distance gains. I ain't complaining. There is some beautiful wear after 1 round and I had an embarrassing moment in the range. I was so focused with my 8 iron after striping it consecutively for some time, I got cocky and tried to do a punch draw and skulled it towards the toe. There must have been some sand on the range ball as there was scoffing on the shiny part of the toe. I can clearly see it. Hahaha, that will forever be a reminder to focus on every shot. Kinda neat. I kind agree with frank and not baby these clubs, not yet though il use head covers for now and once they get broken in I will play em naked. Not anytime soon though. Love them @mjr D. I got these brown ferrules from another epon distributor in Taiwan. They are indeed sold out everywhere most especially in the factory. These were leftover ferrules from the copper 208s, they were the only ones to come with brown and gold ferrules.
  2. these were the modus 3 hardstep experiment i was talking to you about. hopefully they will be more tight compared to last time. they seem soft when i waggle it but then again it could be the grips as they are velvety soft
  3. well ive had these a yesterday and assembled them just in time for my game today. the tastiest copper clubs i have seen. ive never owned an epon with a custom finish this is my first. the cavities look like chocolate! i want to sink my teeth into them. i specified the heaviest heads they could find, built em up with progressive swing weight and hardstepped nspro modus 3 with matching 2G red stickies! sick combo and i had the shafts spined, surprisingly they all align with the tip of the modus logo at the 6 ocklock postition. thats what the black/silver stickies are for. 4 iron is shafted with nspro 950HT shaft which is the same as my 901 driving iron. i plan to interchange these two clubs depending on my mood. will take more pics outdoors where the copper finish should stand out.
  4. Golds factory private stock number 2. upgraded teflon black finish and siteline. comes with black iomic grip and matching headcover. BRAND NEW not putting marks on sole. Paid $493 for this and still have the receipt. $450 shipped Golds factory handmade wedges a/sw with machlineR with blue iomics. these were selling new for over $500. used sparingly some oxidation on the face. hardly used and only flaw is the oxidation. $350 each forgot to mention my dad also got 2 pcs crazy black 90 shafts regular that he intended for these. can add them for extra if anyone is interested
  5. i specificallly requested the brown and gold carbon ferrules as used in the older 208 copper wedges. they were hard to find but look stunning. shafted with modus 3 and my favorite GP 2g in red. and these will be the first clubs i will use headcovers with.
  6. New to the bag RC 3w with ozik fm2 but will reshaft it soon. RC 20deg which arrives next week Epon 302 coppers with nspro modus 3 Kenmochi 52 and 58 bent to 60 dg spinners 56 kyoei mysetery s400 TI. also got a new bett SS6 blade with fitface. also changed my beat up 5 year old epon dog bag into the white/purple combo. will have pics tom!
  7. having played with the new combo for some time, i am thinking of reshafting it. there is something about the ozik that i cannot quite get comfy with. it was the same when i had the epon and the egg, a bit of a crispy glass feeling. i would say its lively but not GD feel lively. get what i am saying? i will most likely shaft it with either a quattro md or a tour ad dj. i know both will be different as the QT MD will be mid launch mid spin while the DJ will be mid-high launch, mid to high spin. the DJ could be suited more for 5 woods. i will be using this for long par 5s and 4s but could also be using this for tight holes. i already know i will like either of these compared to the ozik. any inputs from guys that have gamed both in their 3 woods? only experience i have had with a GD in a fw were the QT original greens. those were awesome! thanks in advance!
  8. beautiful simply beautiful. what is the color of your paintfil? it looks pale gold. also are your ferrules brown with gold trim? your pic looks good i will try to come close. anyway did you ever figure what was wrong with your 4i and what tweak you did to get your distance back? also whats wrong with the 7i? i just want to get it right for tomorrow as i will be taking them straight to the course after customs clearing. im kinda oc, i do expect them to wear but i at times get OC when the greens are newly aerated and you get those super super sandy tee boxes that would litterally abrade the finish. oh well as one member said, the deepest scratch is the first. after that it is ok. i seriously wont be hitting them from bunkers, il just lay up with my wedges. for now that is
  9. I got the coppers:) I will be receiving them Tom. I'm teal excited to take them for a spin
  10. i installed a machline 55sr flex on the 17* and installed at a playing length of 42" vs stock 40.75" for my father. he has been struggling with his fairway woods lately and this could be the answer ! esentially a super forgiving 4 wood. i will have updates soon.
  11. the proto 70 tx and the p9003x on the fw woods would be spectacular. i put my money on those! cannot go wrong.
  12. quite curious to see how the crazies stand up to your current wedge set up considering the hefty sack of coins you shelled for it. well if ud decide to let go of that 48 SDJ let me know. as for the name crazy i guess that is the point. only in Japan! Frank i like the word you used infidel in relation to non jdm users! i like that indeed. them infidels are missing a lot!
  13. weather permitting:) what weird stuff with the 302s? lie? share your inputs with me as i ordered them from the factory stock with the exception of 1* flat
  14. i have the 9003 and its a notch below the p9003 i swing 105-108 i can get to 110 if i try to swing like alvaro so the non "P" is ok for me. i wish i had the ss to game the p9003x! if i did it would just be the quadra prtoto x and that one! mas simple! the p9003 is a damn fine shaft!
  15. you said it ! i honestly like em without babies. from your observation why bother even with the non tour. easy to deviate from perfection but dont expect to outodo them. this s the charactetistic of most golfers:) hope to own the 08s one of these days
  16. well being spolied by certain equipment is a good observation but certainly not a dterminant with your final product looks and final delivery are very important, and we do infact pay a lot of attention to this considering the price but if it works and looks 99% as good then id be a happy camper. hard to keep an objective opinion especially after all the reviews and spending a heavy pouch of coins, il say for certain that your wedges look good! more than good actually! game it and give your opinion in a couple of days:) hopefully the performance redeems first impressions! btw frank, post them coppers! i get mine next week
  17. i cannot comment on the crazies as there are a lot i have not tried but quite familiar with the quads. driver: quadra proto 70 pro x 3 wood: GD P9003X 420: samw as 380 RC: P9003X OR stinger or di8x RC 14 Quadra proto 70 x tip trimmed 1" or p 9003x
  18. very nice pete! i had the tradition two in carbon but sold it to get a copper byron. i very much regret doing that. defintely one of the softest putters i have ever gamed. GLWS.
  19. The epon/onoff hands down. the miura PP looks very outdated. if your going to get a miura it better be one of their blades none of these oversized Cbs. that is not their forte. now for the onoff/epon you really cant go wrong with either. both are customizable to your specs etc. in the end it comes down to personal preference and what suits your eye more. but both will be a step up from the PP in my opinion. good luck
  20. wait for stew to chime in, he absolutely swears by them. he has the 10 and 11 as well.
  21. http://www.golftoimpress.com/yonex-golf-ezone-muscle-backs/ ok i saw the review, they look good. actually great! may i ask why they chose to use s25c instead of s20c like the rest of the ezone CB line? they are also apparently zodia forged why arent these forged in endo like the other irons?
  22. i could see the emblem:) anyway your upcoming bag would be soo fine! currently it rocks. i have to agree with you the RC blades look awesome. must have looked at the youtube review 100 times and would get hypnotized by their offerings. i think RC and Yonex are pimping this year!
  23. bellissima! youl should consider the yonex wedges as well! love the putter but 420g? thats heavy! i had a custom byron morgan tellurium heavy putter as well and loved it. ive never ever been so careful with a club til i got that.
  24. im kinda dissapointed that they rounded the toe. I loved the boxy toe which is very similar to the toe of my nanoVs! still a beautiful blade, this and the RC are the most beautiful blades ive seen so far. are these forged in endo as well like the rest of the ezone lineup? s20? how would you compare this to the aftours? these would make a fantastic combo with my nano ryos!
