guys resurrecting this thread, i have ideas in mind already. definetely want the face milling! and a couple of inserts to make it face balanced.
-
miura san makes good clubs, the brand is respected around the world. makes one of the finest sticks, although his stuff may seem old school and outdated but thats the way it is.
-
so this is the one. from your pic it looks like a driver. can we have a pic of the face? is it deep? how would you compare the face to the royal collection trc 3wood? i did not even know crazy had fwoods. good pickup!

Royal collection D/S 11.5* + 13* arrived...........,
Spoon replied to supo's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
in that case dont touch it. you can get any club and apparently the kasco has had an effect on you. use it then as a reference club, lets see others try to kick it out of the bag -
Royal collection D/S 11.5* + 13* arrived...........,
Spoon replied to supo's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
bec your new club will go 275-280 w the fex! thats enough reason to change:) i seriously think the RC is superior over the kasco even in distance. if only your p9003x s arrived on time, make things easier on the mind -
Yamaha Inpres 4.6V +++++++ Quadra Proto SR Flex
Spoon replied to bogeydog's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
they have a 100gram iron shaft but they arent the protos. im pretty sure they have some in a softer flex. -

there is still hope that the shafts can make it. just do not get tempted into cutting any of your prized driver shafts or stingers for this little experiment. dont you have any p9003xs laying around in your garage? anyway i think the fex will be a good substitute for the time being. that would blend well with the 11.5. i take it your after overall distance so the 13 can be benched for now. and the weight surprises me, only 205/206? feels closer to 215. seriously. -
Yamaha Inpres 4.6V +++++++ Quadra Proto SR Flex
Spoon replied to bogeydog's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
3 months? has it been that long? i hear ya stew, dont forget you would save a ton as well if you stuck with the proto. but since we are in this forum, we arent likely to be content with one shaft. the greed for more yardage or the "what ifs" always push us to try the next best thing. im lucky enough to be content with the proto. it seriously is the best shaft i have tried out there! my next shaft will defintely be another quadra variant in the future. whenever that is -
What's it shafted with?

Yamaha Inpres 4.6V +++++++ Quadra Proto SR Flex
Spoon replied to bogeydog's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Yup the proto is a very good shaft, IMHO the best shaft I have tried. I have no desire to experiment at thisnpoint. Definitely tighter than The FEX. Did you Feel more kick with this compared to the non proto ? -
Supo67 Review's the Fourteen DT111 & Hi610h
Spoon replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
chris, would you say that the srixon is superior to the epon 901? i am using the 22 901 as a 3/4 iron replacement. love it so much and will not change it. i need a 19/20 driving iron so im contemplating the 901, this srixon and even the RC BBD. what do you suggest? -
Epon technity 380cc experiment. Reviving old classic
Spoon replied to Spoon's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
apparently it was a one time thing and only for this head. so this will be the only one. -
Epon technity 380cc experiment. Reviving old classic
Spoon replied to Spoon's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
i doubt i will ever get sick of it as im pulling the shaft today! will most likely get the 380cc treated this way and use that as a gamer. but its yours should i ever think off unloading it. may even get some of my gamer woods with this treatment! -

read my comment several posts back regarding length:) get that combo shafted i want to hear your reviews! you planning on getting the new RC utes? -
Royal collection D/S 11.5* + 13* arrived...........,
Spoon replied to supo's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
stew thought u got the F7M2ltd? i think the 8 series ozik is a better choice considering your preference for heavier shafts and ss. that and the p9003x are prob the best options around -
yup i have one of my best ever shots with this in two particular holes i would struggle with. since i no longer game a 5w as i no longer require that particular distance, i know it retrospect should have ordered a 20* instead of the 20. i may choose to reshaft this with a livelier ozik fm series shaft and compare it to the RC TRC 3W i just received. il be comparing forgivness and ease of use as well as distance. will have updates soon.

Epon technity 380cc experiment. Reviving old classic
Spoon replied to Spoon's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
here is the finished product guys after going thru a week long process of coating, glazing etc. it looks ten times better than the original persimmon paintjob. words cannot describe how it looks in the flesh. on the tee under the sun it looks very very hypnotizing. has a 3d like effect just like the red burlwood trim you see in european luxury cars. it is currently shafted with GD 9003s but may pull the shaft and just use it with the 360s bigger brother the technity 380cc which may get the special finish as well. what do you guys think? -
Royal collection D/S 11.5* + 13* arrived...........,
Spoon replied to supo's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
the heads are defintely heavy! thats for sure. -
another 18, this club is sooo long. its way longer than my 5 wood and much easier to use. i think i find it too long for my needs, i am thinking the 20* would be more suited to me. i will give this more time, so far so good love the head, love the feel, everything about this club is a1! only time i think il get less use is when i get my RC 3w. been using this as a 3w replacement for now and has worked superbly!

play it 43.5-43.75. you are using this as a big stick instead of off the deck so something longer would be ideal, will also bring the sw back up. what happened to the f7m2 and quadra 75xs? -
Eric, i am reviving my old modus and will hard step the stiffs, lets see how they fare. found the S flex to be a bit on the loose side hopefully hard stepping will make em more tight! had this idea bec i am suffering with my current set up of 1050s. perfect weight and flex although i lost about 1 club due to the excessive height i am getting.

Yamaha inpres x 405 d super nubeo old revival.
Spoon replied to Spoon's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Yup I've seen one in eBay from a guy who sells nonconformingdrivers . I think that's his handle as well. Had a peek and he has some pretty good stuff -
was rummaging through some of my old non golf stuff and lo and behold one of my dads old hand me down drivers. i recall buying this with him in HK back in 05. a mere 400cc and 10* but iirc hit this around the time the epon 460zr came out and this was easily 15 yards longer. this however is non conforming so that could explain it. ball would explode of the face w a springy feel. i dont know how this would stack with todays drivers but i plan on using this for the time being in order to get accustomed to a smaller head while waiting for my 360/380 red devils to arrive. will shaft this with a spined tour ad p9003 shaft. this should be a wicked combo to rival my 102 fex proto! hopefully i can get this assembled before the weekend. any of you guys remember this club? they dont call this the super nubeo for nothing!

Selling - Matrix F7M2 LTD and 8M2 - MINT CONDITION
Spoon replied to Mjr. D's topic in Buy, Sell, & Trade
get the 8m2 for your 13 and use the p9003x for the 11.5 -
if you decide to go modus i suggest the x flex 120g version. the modus is softer to flex and the S is 114 grams versus 126 or kbs. the x is 120 s closer to your KBS.
