  1. defintely shallower face which translates to easier use from the fairway. tried both and the new one is easier and sounds better as well. as for distance i hit the new one longer since its easier to hit.
  2. yeah i havent seen jeff here in awhile. i know he is enjoying his early retirement and playing golf everyday
  3. randy, cant take you seriously with that avatar. what is that?
  4. it never ends! you need to go to shaftaholics anonymous my friend. im sure you can buy a nice patek philippe with all your shafts experiments.
  5. i voted for the egg. i am actually going to sell my HT. i have had good use from it for over 6 months. love the egg, have a 17 coming my way( for dad) as well. and although i cant play golf i cant wait to get back on the saddle and get to know my spoon more
  6. well i own both. for the 15 degree its actually a toss up. spoon: slightly longer, more beautiful radical shape, 202HT: easier to pick up ball, shallower, more solid feel it will be a tough one the spoon is a big improvement over the older model. had it been a choice for old spoon and HT id choose the HT but current model egg spoon and HT it will be a toss up. i find the HT easier to pick up the ball, has a higher ball flight and is that more forgiving. the Egg is not far behind in the ease department but it is longer. not much though. if you are a good wood player then get the egg. if you want that extra forgiveness get the 202. my dad was in the same dilemma, he choose the 202 as its more forgiving. now a choice between a 202 ht and 17 egg spoon. i will choose the 17 egg in a heartbeat
  7. the story of my life heavier shafts. got my tempo in check and controlled my most violent swings. i had my irons at d8 but also coz they were played .5 longer than standard. worked really great but unfortuantely im off golf for the time being due to an unrelated golf injury. so will be moving to lighter shafts and building my strength once i am well enough to play.
  8. as a matter of fact i had two of them, the hi cor and the cor version. both were with the stock shaft, both were hand me downs from dad and if i am not mistaken they were around 1000$ at the time. the shape was very appealing and the insignia on the sole ala coat of arms makes it look very classy. they used to be quite big but seem to have lost some popularity. their old line of hybrids were very nice just on the pricey side.
  9. i had the katana izu max cor driver in 2007. looked really really expensive and fit for the emperor himself but like all club hos sold it after a few months but not bec it was ot good but something else caught my eye. that is when i got my first taste of epon and have never looked back. also had the katana sword irons if im not mistaken they were the i33? anyway those were very good but only drawback was that they were cast.
  10. if they make a driver that is proportionately as long as their woods are and as forgiving then i think it will sell faster than hotcakes.
  11. great! another fellow egg user is happy with their new toy! with the wood i have absolutely no desire to try their driver as apparently its not as good as their woods:)
  12. they are so negligible i hardly even notice them. in the wedges that is. never had the pleasure of trying copper irons
  13. i still get amazed when i see those copper 301s. lovely. your set looks extremely preserved!
  14. trade my stinger 70x for your 60s or 70s thanks
  15. nice one marc! never realized you had the older eggs. i too am curious on replacing some of my hybrids. i have a 19* one which i am considering replacing with a 7 wood when i am in better shape.
  16. rifles are good shafts, same maker as the project x prior to them being bought by true temper http://www.royalprecision.com/royalprecision/rifle.asp enjoy the wedges.
  17. i have played all the lofts and colors of the 208. imho stay away from the black as they fade really fast most especially in the contact area of face and the sole. copper is the prettiest it is a purplish shiny black gold color that changes in different lighting conditions and get better with age. after several rounds the shiny coating will wear or fade but it gives character to the club. as to the feel they are all the same to me. but for durability i like the satins the best. when i say durability i am talking of the finish. the coppers get better in age and will sort of patina but they can look pretty used after several months, the satins pretty much look the same no matter how much use goes into them. the 208 all in all is for the better player, not so forgiving when you open them up compared to the 210. they however have the very much desired bite lacking in the conforming 210.. also the newer 210 only comes in satin . copper is a very expensive upcharge
  18. yeah i noticed that as well. guess its bec of that sharp bladish profile of the crown
  19. nah not for me. looks like a hybrid of some sort. doesnt evoque the same image as the rest of the land rovers
  20. very nice, cant wait til they come out with the AMG version. one of my all time faves are the clk amg dtm! that car is a monster
  21. i agree but we are curious beings and would like a bite of that apple:) i will defintley pick one up myself. thanks guys
  22. why dont you get a 19* for more versatility and just choke down. i have all the 901 lofts but decided to game the 19 only. its crazy long and i can just choke to achieve a 22 distance. i am having much success with my 502 4 iron so dont need a 22
