  1. if it was shipped from japan then you can check postjapan and check tracking in their ems site. they are more reliable. fwiw, i never had a problem from tsg, then again tsg is one of the only retailers i use for jdm exotica:)
  2. it will work, i however just use regular baby oil and works fine
  3. I have a raw set of players cb and the same macthing wedges. they initially rust but they are easy to maintain as long as you are meticulous in oiling and drying. down the road they arent signficantly softer, also be wary of where you play in if your in a tropical area you have a greater chance of wearing them down. i say yes in wedges nay in irons. just me though
  4. was going to suggest the same thing. the 901s are a super easy to hit hybrid iron. for those that dont like real hybrids this could fit the bill. i personalyy use a 19*22 but on days where in my competing with my friends il take out the 4i and bring in the 25* i play mine .5 longer in steel so they are generally longer than the same lofted irons they replace
  5. damn! this is exactly what i need. will shoot you a pm. by the way can he also refinish the putter and fix some old dings and scrapes?
  6. I have a shin putter that has over 25grams of lead tape from the original 350 stock head. have any idea how much this would cost and if they can get the exact head to 370-375g? c
  7. a weak 3 wood and a strong 5 wood will bring you in 4 wood territory. 16/17* would suffice. still debating on what head to go for
  8. wow! i am thinking a 16* 4 wood or a weak 17* 5 w. 1.5* open i am so impressed. been looking for a 4w to solve all my woes. id like to see these compared to the prgr magic spoons
  9. at the moment it is my 16* kasco fw. it used to be my dad's. 12 years old. tried every make from jdm to american and this by far the best i have tried. its nothing fancy but i like the way it looks and the way the stock shaft kicks. i will take pics of it soon. well im like you T, driver woes. changed my swing, hitting my irons great but struggling with the driver.
  10. nice one. i see mr idrive reading this topic:) i am still unable to find a wood that i can hit w confidence hence my old skool kasco 4w
  11. thats crazy! have you seen these in the flesh? i swear , only in japan:)
  12. wow looking forward to an indepth review. i myself have tried the iomics and found it annoying to use in humid wet conditions. been raining in manila and personally the New decades are the gold standard for me. i use em in most of my clubs. regarding grip size dont get them too small or too big. get one that fits. a clubfitter can help you out with that one.
  13. J, wanna trade places? looking forward to your shootout results:)
  14. anyone have a pic? i want to see what a $1k bag looks like:)
  15. nice and clean. good luck with sale. how is the matrix on the epon heads?
  16. that is indeed a very hard question and would change depending on when it or was asked. but over the years my bag has evolved. for one i hardly ever change putter and wedges and they have remained virtually untouched since 07. irons and drivers and woods come and go but amidst all the sets i have been loyal to one brand. that does not mean i did not try others, sure i did and tried a lot like but keep going with what works. its no secret that i build epon clubs but dont have to use em. at every particular stage of my golfing life i have used epon circa pre 06 and there was always a particular model that suited my game. so its pretty obvious what my choice is:)
  17. you are right. thats a good deal on the combo. good luck with the sale
  18. T where are these forged? the cavity look very interesting.
  19. i love the sole shot in pic #1. looks very cool. nice on making it 440 from 460. head looks significantly more compact. once you guys have reviews do post some. might get one of the FW woods.
  20. i have seen it done. i have seen very shallow engraving done by hand on graphite shaft. imho it will not affect the shaft integrity . but better it be done in the grip or below the grip area instead of near the head for obvious reasons. what do you plan on engraving on your shafts?
  21. T is right. the 701 and egg are very different. the egg is sort of a driving iron. similar to the af901 but more rounded. Like an egg indeed:)
  22. between the 502 and 701 the 701 is a tad more forgiving and longer than the 502. the word though is 'tad' the 701 also is also touted as GI and has a cavity and 2 tungsten plugs at the sole to help the ball get up. the 502 has more feel and is a significant improvement over the 501 and it is more workable than the 701. depending on your usage or game i will advice you to try both models and pick one that suits your eye, swing. you will know which one you prefer. dont get to bugged down on specs and what people online say becasue in the end it is you who will be gaming the clubs.
