Mizuno MP003 driver
I am very interested in this head myself and I have heard very little. If it is anything like the MIZ MX500, it will be a certain favorite. I think the MP003 has movable weights as well. Best of luck finding anything!

Any Gauge Design Tera reviews/comments?
Very solid putter, I sold a Yes! Tracy because this putter delivered much better feel and roll, no worries of side spin on off center contact. Buttery soft, very true roll due to slight but very design specific engraving. Heavy head allows for a non exaggerated stroke, very easy to bring back and through on the same line. Sight Lines all but paint a visible path for you to the the hole or target. Very hard to leave this putter short of any hole. Set up is unbeatable, it just looks so pretty and performance is something Titleist and Odyssey need to evaluate and then emulate. Simply stated - A design by which all others should follow.

TSG Wedge Version 1.0 w/PICS
Can wedges look "SEXY". My eyes are buggin' out. I cannot get past the lofts though. I tried to play 53* and 58* before but I never got comfortable. I will hopefully get some TSG head covers, I still want some TSG Polo's or T shirts.

What Style suits you......
My style has changed somewhat since I recevied the Gauge Design "TERA" Mallet putter. I love the blade design still but have a new found appreciation for "small" mallet heads. The smaller the better. :tsg_smilie_cool: I really do not like the oversized putters like the Ping DOC, Odyssey 3-Ball or MacGregor Bobby Grace Heads. Not my cup-o-tea! :tsg_smiley_no:

Introducing the Gauge Japan Forged Terra!
Boys it has been a very exciting week warming up to the new TERA. I have been fortunate enought to get some time on the course to perfect my putting with the new stick and it has been a very enlightening experiance, I was kicking myself somewhat for not playing a mallet until now. The is putter is very smooth, easy to setup, and buttery in feel. I have found flaws in my current address when setting up to the blade putters which made me rework my stance, grip, and overall approach. I have a new routine to fit the mallet and it has flat produced. I spent a good 4 hours working on my shortgame last week when the weather was nice and it did some good. Cannot wait to play my first round this year, the cold weather really has me in a grumpy mood but I have plenty of time to practice. Thanks again for the TERA Chris, I will get some photo's of my bag soon, that new head cover works nicely with the new Mizuno Staff bag.

Introducing the Gauge Japan Forged Terra!
Fella's, thanks to our kick ass TSG contest, the ORACLE (Chris) has blessed me with a choice. When I found I had been chosen to receive the exhaulted Gauge Design putter, he asked me if I would like to partake of the 3 choices provided. Of "The Balde", "The ONE', and "The TERA" I chose the mallet version "TERA". I am waiting with anticipation to receive it, I selected this model based solely on Chris's advice. Again, thank you Chris!

More new pics for the season!!
B'stone is clearly pleasing to look at, they are making a real splash on tour. Really like there Staff bags. Great Irons, balls, accessories. Good Stuff. Kinda wish Miz would change up the color scheme to something a little more FORCEFULL.

Guiren Rife 2 Bar Putters
I wrote to GR and asked them to compare the C-Groove technology to the 2-Bar, they were very complimentory towards YES! and there equipment. They did say that although YES is a better choice then %95 percent of the putters out, it leaves a large margin for error due to the fact that on mis**ts, the downward curving grooves can put side spin on the ball if not struck dead center to get a true roll. GR stated that although the sweetspot is very small, this could be seen as a positive by forcing the player to be more accurate and focused by limiting his/her mis**ts. I like my Tracy but I am really intrigued. Nobody in my area has any to demo :tsg_smilie_sad:

Mizuno MX-500
I went back on Satruday to make a decision between the Miz and Clev, again it was very difficult to choose either, they are very well matched against each other, the accuracy and dispersion where identical. Normally get a large number from the tee with my 580 but I was very pleased with the change in my average distance per drive with the 2 comps, club speed increased as well as ball speed, .(which I will never mention on TSG or any other golf forum again!!) launch angle was spot on @ 11* to 13*using 9.5* loft and I can see either club in my bag. :tsg_smilie_money3: It is just a matter of wanting to be all Mizuno from driver on down or, whether I really care what I use!! Dropping strokes and throwing away mistakes is all I am after. In LIMBO I am boys. I need a chart showing a comparison using the Iron Byron. I have to get technical know. Still no clear choice, wish me luck!! :tsg_smilie_sad:

What kind of car do TSGers drive?
DoubleAA replied to zojo's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearJust saw a prototype for the Dodge Challenger and thinking of a Sunday car now that the kids are getting older, hopefully they bring out a convertable. The 510 horsepower 6.4 liter 392 Hemi w/ 500 lbs of torque will be the heart of the beast, and a six-speed manual transmission. So geared, with its 4,100 pound weight, it can do 0-60 in 4.0 seconds (with 20 inch wheels on front and 21 inch wheels on back), and runs the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds flat; top speed is 174 mph (limited by wind resistance), while gas mileage is estimated at 16 city, 22 highway, very good compared with the original Challenger. Brakes are more effective than the original - stopping from 60 mph can be done in 133 feet. I think this would look very nice next to my 300C SRT-8.

women allowed to play in 2006 British Open
DoubleAA replied to Sgt_Slaughter's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearQuote from Kraig Kann about Michelle Wie @ The Golf Channel "I, for one, would like to see her aim to win tournaments and not make cuts. I understand why she’s taking her opportunities with the men, but I just wish she’d start winning." Entire Article What Now for Wie?

women allowed to play in 2006 British Open
DoubleAA replied to Sgt_Slaughter's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearPlain and simple, enough of the exemptions, stop handing out spots that are NOT EARNED, I understand that it would be a feat of extraordinair for a women to make a cut in a mens event but, enough with the "GIMMIES", aren't these spots supposed to be earned, I am sure any male golfer is subject to this standard. Michelle is great for the game but not the PGA game, it has turned her into golf's greatest assumption which reflects poorly on the maturation process that the PGA and LPGA measure, (IMO) she has not done a good enough job of qualifying for the LPGA, it is painting the picture for me that the title "Phenom" carries more weight than that of a accomplished/proven tour winner. I do agree with the comments previously, let the #1 womens player take as many qualifiying attempts at mens event as she wants, that honor should be the only one to come with benfits, phenoms, and assumptions of how good they "COULD" be are dictating who gets these exemptions. I do not think it is fair for the LPGA at all, this sort of favortism leads to annamosity which leads to jealousy that can destroy ones charisma in obtaining a historical career. I wish all women golfers the best of luck in any challenge they strive to meet, I would feel better if these spots were earned, not given without merit.

Mizuno MX-500
I like my 580, but I am looking to upgrade and I have had my eyes on a C Comp for some time, I was at Golf Galaxy this weekend and took some cuts with Mizuno Comp, Clev Comp, G5, and the R7 425. I like the R7, didn't mind the ping that much, as usual grinned ear to ear over the cleveland and was thoroughly impressed with the Miz. Out of the 4, my choice is between the 2 comps without a doubt. I hit both just as far as each other and found little to no seperation of shot angle, flight, traj, or dispersion. The mizuno is a real looker. I could easily go either way, all comes down to more testing, they were both priced the same and felt grrrrrrreat. My friend mitch said he would get them fit into better shafts for me, he knows my swing better than anyone. He sold me the 580 that I have know which has given me $hit loads of accuracy and fairways. I am going back this saturday, I think he was going to try and set up 4 drivers. I think he mentioned a Rombax in both and a diamana in both. Not sure of the names he was throwing around.

Go Trojans!
DoubleAA replied to acrazygolfer's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearVince will learn that the NFL is nothing like College, he has to ingrain the thought the only the "ELITE" players of the college ranks are drafted to play at an "ELITE" level. These are the best of the best NCAA has to offer. As with Vick, McNabb, Culpepper, and many other "Running" QB's they are or have learned that the target on thier backs are much much larger than the rest of the teams, those QB's are having to learn to accept the fact that they must remain in the pocket to be successfull. Too much running can incure many injuries. DAMAGE THE ENGINE, THE TRAIN BECOMES EASIER TO CATCH. Vince will also fall inline. I thought watching the game that USC did not pressure enough, they let him sit in the pocket and he picked his wideouts with ease and for the most part he did until blitzes were often, We know he can run and USC contained his yardage well but as we saw, he played the best game he could have, less damage was done until they let him loose in the red zone. That was were the pressure needed to be. Less package defense and more zone wold have kept men available and the corners off limits to a QB run. Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda, too late now!

Go Trojans!
DoubleAA replied to acrazygolfer's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearWOW, what a game, Texas never gave up, USC had it in the bag but penalties, missed opportunities and blown calls gave the game to Texas. Longhorns should be thanking the zebra's for handing them a championship, USC did not challenge when they should have (Young's latteral for a touchdown after he was clearly down) and what was Matt thinking with 9 seconds to go, huge blunder, next thing I saw was "00:00" on the clock, GAME OVER. Vince Young allthough inpressive in the Rose Bowl will find it much more difficult in the NFL. Reggie will have a great career. I was pulling for USC but TEXAS was a real suprise. Trojan's will be back next year with LenDale White is the Heisman hopefull.

Where to get my new clubs from????
Wlcome to TSG fore! As others have wisely stated, take "TOUR" out of the scenario. You are most certainly in the right spot if you are wanting honest and true opinion. Test what you feel will bring about confidence whether it be Japan or US stock. Best of luck in your search and hope you find a set you want, there is plenty to choose from. Happy New Year to all. I only have only one word for you
