Does anyone play these? My impression is that it is a luxury brand like Honma, but i could be wrong.
  2. I was at the Buick Classic Sunday and was amazed when I saw Mickelson's warm up routine at the range. First of all, he doesn't use the provided bag of range balls like all the other pros. His caddy Bones walks onto the range carrying a huge Titleist bag filled with balls which must be the Pro V 1's he uses on the course. They go all the way to the end of the range far away from the other players. Bones then goes out into the range and stands there while Mickelson hits wedge shots. Bones doesn't have to move and catches all the balls on one bounce. When Phil switches clubs, Bones moves backward to the certain yardage and continues to catch the shots on one bounce, rarely having to move at all. I think I saw him have to run for a ball once. As he catches them he collects the balls and drops them back into the bag. When I stopped watching, Bones was way out into the range, still catching the shots on one bounce. It looked like a mid iron at that point. I saw them walk off the range, Bones carrying the big Titleist bag of Pro V 1's, and Verplank said something to Mickelson about using his own balls on the range.

Has anyone played the intage irons? They look great in the ads i have seen in Albatross and Japanese Golf Digest.
  4. To even play on the professional tours is an incredible accomplishment that shows amazing skill and dedication. These guys just go out and play. While people are talking crap about them, they are out there doing their thing everyday.
  5. I can't say from experience, but the word is that the Royal Collection stuff is a bit higher quality than it's American counterpart. Needless to say though, both are extremely high quality equipment.

The only way I can seem to hit well, especially with the driver, is by using a ten finger grip. Is this very unusual? I think that Bob Estes on the tour uses this grip, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone has some input for me.

Don't let the simplicity of blades fool you. The blades available today, especially those made by Tourstage, Mizuno, Titleist, and KZG among others are designed and tested using the latest in computer technology. The manufacturing processes, even though the art of forging is still very similair to what it used to be, is much more advanced and tightly controlled. For example, compare the look of the Mizuno MP-33 to the look of a Mid 60's blade; it is a much more streamlined, technologically advanced club.
  9. Check out the link for this bizarre looking driver by Saso japan. http://www.sasogrind.com/product/drsato.html

I've been playing Tiger Woods 2004 on the Nintendo Gamecube, and you have the option to equip your character with Tourstage equipment including Driver, irons, Fairway Woods and Hats. The irons look like the Z101's.
  11. Looking for reviews , specifically on the Super CV Triple BRG Iron. Thanks.

Anyone have a review of these new clubs?
  13. In a japanese golf magazine I saw an ad for a beautiful looking driver. There were two models - the Axel ID-350 and Axel ID-360, both by Tsuruya. Anyone know anything about these?

Any opinions on the PRGR 900 TR or 910 TR-X irons? Or just PRGR equipment in general?
  15. I am trying to decide between the Z101's, TS 201's, X Blade CB's, or an old set of Mizuno MP-14's. If any one could please give me their opinion i would appreciate it. Also, how do you guys think the Srixon I302's match up against the Tourstage models?[/b]
