I said I would stay out of this thread, but I have to respond. We just do not see eye to eye here, but that is fine. I thank you for the kind words with the welcome, this is a great community with a nice level of maturity and knowledge. I do like to purchase items from the Pro Shop and have always recieved good service here....in fact I am hoping Goodsie has a speedy recovery as I need a new driver built.

I stand corrected, I know it has been marketed as 1018 in other places. I apologize for the mistake, but you can tell one of your best friends his wood heads were some of the worst ever. Talk about horrible gear, those head blanks he used are/were some of the poorest quality ever imo. Here is where I got the bad 1018 info, still does not excuse you of talking about this metal in the past and insinuating how soft it is. I tend to agree with xxio, he has worded himself very well in this thread. Personally, I have no dog in this fight as I do not purchase Scratch gear and do not plan to. However, I do question your motives and the way you have handled this. Imo, it has hurt you as much or more than the company you are calling out. One other minor thing, the "pay for play" angle you are using and calling them out on is weak at best. "Pay for winning" is certainly not the same thing, Ping has even used this business model before. Scratch is a growing company and getting bigger, they now have professional player representation and are not trying to hide it. Rightfully so as it is something to be proud of.

The color is def on the orange-side of teh spectrum. Got mine in only 3 days, thanks TSG..you all are great. Shaft looks sick, just like Ka'li. Right now it is raining, so I can't really test it. Can't wait though.

I can't wait to hear more about this one, the redboard is an amazing distance shaft for me in a three wood right now. If this keeps the same distance and tightens control a bit, it will be my grail fw shaft. Please keep the details coming and let us know when we can order one. Thanks!

gocchin, Thank you very much, I was hoping you would come through and you did. I was looking at all three earlier, your descriptions are more clear to me and are very helpfull. I am certainly not a sctach golfer, so the TP is out even though I was considering it the front runner before. I prefer a little more deep than shallow so I am going to get the T model. I have been playing a 15* Sonartec three wood for a long time, the club head is hammered and I want/need something new. I have tried almost every current usdm model and nothing performs as good for me, and many I have not given the chance as they do not look as good or sound as good. I do want something new as I am tired of looking at this old war horse and I know RC has very similiar designs. So, I need to know which one in the pro shop is the closest to the GS Tour. Sorry for the long post, thanks for your time.

I am curious if Callaway has an plans to release some of the high end JDM-only shafts in imix configuration. I see the Kai'li in the pro shop, would really like to try out some of the other high end models from other manufacturers....Roddio, Tour AD, etc. How about the TM FCT shafts and availability? Like xchangemanx, I like a little more of a firm feeling off the putter....this ball provides that. The Mizuno gives awesome distance off the tee but still excellent short side spin and the putting feedback I like. I choose ball characteristics by working backwards in preferance, from the green back to the tee. Another big benefit is they are very durable for a premium ball, a Cally ix is hammerd after 18 in comparison to a cross eight tour.

Cally ix is pretty good, but the best for me is a Mizuno cross eight tour 332. I wish I could have gotten some of the limited black Mizzies out of the pro shop...they sold out quick!

TBone, thanks for the review. As you may know, I have experience with some of the three woods you have played. I have always wanted to try the i.f.f tour model out, but the volume is higher than most of my past favorite three woods. I know this may not affect the look at address and may be more of how the overall head is shaped. Can you tell me how this compares size-wise to your sf206? This would help a lot to determine if it is even something I can consider.

Good stuff, I like being able to see how all these wedges look at address. I never would have thought this, but I think the prgr mti model's face and shape looks the best. Thank you for posting gocchin.

Hello all, I have a fairway shafted with an older Tour AD M 75 and would like to get something that plays and feels the same for another club. I would like to stay with Diamana or even another Tour AD model, hopefully one of you all knows what I need. Thanks.

Nice looking putter! I wish you had a few of these made in a limited amount and put them in the pro shop for sale. Gochin was kind enough to email me a golds factoy putter template but I just can't come up with anything. I guess I don't have the vision on what I want and it is frustrating.

Is the red outline the island of Yururi? It would be great if they actually named the club Unagi and just had an eel on the sole.

Hello all, I have no experience with Yamaha equipment but I am interested in buying the new 4.6 driver. I have played several usdm drivers over the years, and most play and spec to a higher loft. BStone/Tourstage seem the only drivers that play true. Can I assume an Inpress 10 degree will measure at 10 degrees or close to it? I have no issues with ordering a 9 if need be, but I would like some experienced opinions if possible. Thank you.

Thank you. There are some great sets in this section, a lot of nice equipment on this forum for sure. I purchased the proto head for experiments, currently shafted it up with a 5.5 spinner shaft with d5 swing weight. The sole has plenty of metal, so maybe an M grind next. I beleive this is the proto for the current production WC design wedge. This head does have a nicer brushed finish, the regular model is kind of bead blasted (both are cast). More than likely I will get a Chikara if I feel I need a 60 in the bag at all times.

Hi all, here is my bag. Most of these clubs are new for me, coming from playing mostly Ping last year. While not as nice as some of the set-ups here, I am very happy with these sticks. I am still shopping for a few hybrids I can get comfortable with, and I do plan on ordering a Gold's putter. This is the most elegant looking driver I have ever seen, classy and not over done, a nice departure from many of the other brands right now. Details right down to the nice ferrel are a nice touch. I look forward to reading the review on how it plays.

Going back to the original post, I can not find this Fouteen hybrid model (ut306) he has in the bag anywhere. Is this an older model? I want to buy one and try it out. I like the sole shape, which is very different than the current offering in the pro shop. Any info appreciated.

Can anyone tell me where I can select this option in the ordering menu? I think it is near the bottom under the custom face and loft option ($125) but I am not sure. Thanks.

I am new here (btw great informative forum), but I wanted to give my opinions on the sf206 3 wood as I have a bit of experience. I think the face angle is very slightly closed on mine, maybe by one degree, almost imperceptible to my eye at least. The club head is not overly large, but for example it is bigger than the usdm Titleist 904f2/f4 or Ping G10. However, it is nice and slender as far as depth and you can easily go down and make good contact if you have a grassy lie. I really like the forgiveness, and as another said the feel is great. Of course, fit and finish is top notch. What surprisd me is how solid the stock shaft feels, I have an epic shaft going in it now, but for a 65 gram or so weight and higher torque (4.4) the stock shaft is surprisingly solid feeling. Anyway, hope this helps. I included a pic of the head to show the size compared to a Tourstage model. These pics are not nearly as good as gocchins, but it can give you an idea of size. The Fourteen is the unwrapped club on the left in both pics.
