  1. What in you guys' opinion is the best player's CB out there? Kinda up the alley of MP 57s. I've realized lately that my game probably can't handle a blade. I'd have major difficulty from 6 iron and up.
  2. I was wondering if you guys can tell me how forgiving they are in comparison to the Mizunos MP32s or Ping S58s. They look quite similar to the MP32s. If they are just as forgiving, I'll get these MB-5003s. I don't think I am ready to handle blades like the 695 MBs or Miura North America tournment blades yet. I wanted to get Miura blades but try to make sure I have the game for them. I can't believe I still lack in confidence even though I go to a range for 3 hrs daily.
  3. I'd suggest to try the E21 Eagle One shafts as well...they come in different weights and have very tight shot dispersion.
  4. I live around the GTA and yet has come across someone with the Epon AF301s...I would love to try them though. The Miura CBs are nowhere close to the feel of the blades. To me, the Miura CBs feel like a higher end model of a Mizuno MP series. Miura CBs would go very well with an NS Pro shaft. Personally I am more interested in the MB 5003s.....if they feel as good as they look....those will be the irons for me.
  5. I have tried the North American Miura blade with a regular True Temper S300 shaft. I thought they were really soft but you got to hit it right on the sweet spot or it'll sting. (if I switch to the Miuras, definately not going with a shaft like True Temper) I am really tempted to buy those Miura 2008 MB-5003 blades from 5 iron - PW. I am just thinking every day if I really do have the swing to be able to use those blades. I find myself too much of a feel player. I am also a bit hesitant cause I am in the process of changing my setup. The tinkering just never stops. I can hit the X-Forged pretty pure but even that seems like it has a large cavity in comparison. I don't know about these tourstage z-101...they look good as well. I would definately love to try them out. Gocchin, if you are around the GTA, I might as well get the clubs straight from you somewhere rather than getting killed by shipping and handling. (I mean if that's okay with you).
  6. As much as I love the look on the pictures posted in this board, I just can't pull the trigger when it comes to investing in wedges I have never tried before. Call me crazy if you will but wedges and putter are the most personal items in my bag. Here's my story. I am a weekend golfer (not by choice) for half a year. On average, I drive 275-280 yards, my 6 iron is only about 180 yards. Distance most of the time is not a great concern of mine (well I only play the blue tees). An inexperienced golfer, with no mental game and has a natural draw. When it's all said and done though, my inconsistency killed me this past season. A clear example is one day I shot 104 at Copper Creek and the next day I shot an 81 at Angus Glen (south course). Well I have shot in the 70s as well but those were more or less flukes. I am like a guy who can spin back a 6 iron or stop it to the dime and also be able to scuff 10% of my shots due to tardiness. The only clubs I relied on are my wedges. I carry 3 wedges in my bag right now. I know my GIR isn't all that high mostly due to mental mistakes, misaligning myself or misjudging the wind. Wedges are what I need to get up and down with. I would really want something soft. I practice my 60 degree wedge on a daily basis for at least half hr. I wouldn't say my wedges fit me perfectly. I just got used to the 3 vokeys I have but definately looking for a change. My 56 degree wedge has 14 bounce on it. Heck. I only use that club when i am in the bunker. A complete waste due to my noobness at the time of purchase. I am around the Greater Toronto Area. Unless I can try wedges out and actually hit them, I just can't purchase one in the dark. Asthetics is one thing, but the feel is so important. I really need to try them out. Last thing I want to do is to make adjustments for the club instead of having equipment fit for my liking. Most people think hitting it dead straight 300 yards is a great feeling. Not for me. For me, it's hitting a full gap wedge from about 85 yards and spin it back to pin high. I can seriously remember all the wedge shots that I hit within 5 feet to the cup. I can't explain the feeling but I bet you guys can relate. I am not too knowledgable about clubs or the game. I used to just buy what golfdigest tells me. As I suddenly got really into it this year, I am looking for the absolute best. I am in the right place right? I get all confused when you guys talk about the type of material the clubs are made of. It's strange for me. I need to hit it and know that...hmm...you know what? This is it. Help!
  7. Is it fair to say that these are almost like blades? Are they replacements for the Rac MB TP? They have been out for a while now. I am very curious about these cause of the look. Are they coming to NA in 2008 or are these strictly Japan only? I know many of TM's Touring professionals have use them at some point this year?
  8. How do these irons compare to the normal R7 Tp irons? I find the R7 TP irons in NA to be extremely easy to hit with a pretty big sweet spot.
  9. so if I were to upgrade to blades. Would the Miura MB 5003s be my best bet? The thing is I am a range rat. However when I am hitting with cavity blades, I feel like I am not focused on everyshot and will just compensate for a draw or fade depending the point of impact. I feel like blades will honestly motivate me and strengthen my mental game. I wonder if they'd work well with the E21 Eagle One shafts...I am definately set on those. How unforgiving are the 5003s? Are they similar to anything that's out on the market? I figured if I can hit with my friend's set of Rac MBs....I should be okay for them.
  10. I am looking to build a set of blades to compliment the KZG IIMs I am currently hitting (donated by a friend). I used to use a set of Titleist 804s. I am totally in love with the E21 Eagle One shafts with such a tight dispersion and soft feel. (and I thought the Nippons were soft before). Grips is a toss up between Nowons and Iomic stickys (damn things wear out in about 9 months anyhow..I wouldn't mind to guess). I just don't know what to choose for a club head. Here's the thing. I feel like if I switch to something cavity blades, it's not that much of a drastic change from the irons I have now. I am looking for a contrast. I am undecided about the blades. I think that I am a good enough ball striker to use them. Mentally, I can take things for granted right now cause I feel like I can work the ball with bad impact. I guess it helps to be 6'1 sometimes. I have hit the North American version of the Miura blades before and thought they were good. I just wouldn't want to shaft those bad boys with Dymanic Gold S300s. I wouldn't want something so tiny like the anniversery editions that it will look intimadating everytime I setup for a shot. Any suggestions? The Gold's Factory Blades look gorgeous but I have yet to try them out. I might go with Miura just because you can just buy heads only. Please help! I am losing sleep over this and it ain't even right.
