  1. Haha... agreed. What two do you have? I'll probably look to an AP ROO or an IWC next. Also have the trusty G-Shock for travel in sketchy destinations =)
  2. Great pickup Spoon! I had one of those, but sold it along with most of the others in a fit of... I'm not sure what. Great watch for sure. Now I'm down to two watches only. A Rolex Sub (16610) that I'll never get rid of, and a Panerai Black Seal PAM 292.
  3. Hey Robbie... does the soft and whippy comment apply to the modus3 as well? And what do you mean by you have a lighter weight version? I recently tried a set of older VG3 w/ 950GH and compared with an Epon/KBS Tour combo it seemed much easier to get results with a more relaxed swing.
  4. Epon's recent direction is pretty interesting... as their new releases are increasingly geared towards targeted limited editions for specialized "needs", with the limited nature fueling the hype and mystique further. Then take a page out of Tourstage's book (a la how they sell older tech to global market via Bridgestone at a more global-consumer friendly price) and you've got a decent growth strategy. Always liked the look of the 501 and the finish on the revamp looks pretty tasty.
  5. Agreed... they seem soft to flex. On top of that, the light weight likely makes it seem even softer still.
  6. Wow... bold statement to declare that your bag is set for 2013, especially on this forum. Awesome to hear that unicorns do exist though =) I'm still trying to figure out the proper shaft for my Egg hybrids, but I know what you mean... on the one hand, I have it in my head that they are too light and I need to swap the shafts but on the other hand I've hit some of my most memorable shots with those puppies and am not sure I want to pull them apart and open that can of worms.
  7. As always... great pics T. Can't wait to see some of this stuff in the pro shop.

Any update on these irons from the guys who have them?
  9. New PRGR Egg HD should be worth a look as well.
  10. Argh... you guys are all terrible enablers. First Epon, then Ryoma, still have a Crazy to shaft up and now looking for a Yammie... sigh. Any suggestions on a head to try for someone that likes a Ryoma or Crazy 460 type driver?
  11. That's terrible... sorry to hear. Will keep an eye out.
  12. Does the ST launch higher than the regular D1 (non-VSpec)? Or about the same?

    Wouldn't 153 be more "average golfer" than 103? :)
  14. Seconded... since they are listening to users, this in a 16-17 please!
  15. Definitely the G-field Premium Zones... Great feel and put a great roll on the ball. Lately the Miura Km-007 if that counts.
  16. Crazy looking finishes... are they distracting in the light? BTW - for those looking for the site: http://www.triphas.co.jp/
  17. They look sweet... of all the clubs I've held in my hands, these fit my eye the best at address. I worry that they may be too much on a day to day basis for my mid-capper game though. Irons have always been the weakest part of my game.
  18. Argh... so far this thread isn't helping me decide whether to try the Onoff Forged or Titleist VG3 next. =) Seems like both are getting a lot of love...
  19. Based on the limited experience across a range of product, the poll results are probably a better reflection of "what is everyone gaming?" :)
  20. That's what I thought as well... but Ted says every head that's passed through his shop has weighed in at 370g.
  21. How are the Onoff Forged vs. the Titleist VG3?
  22. Hi, Its definitely toe-weighted... my guess is even more so than the KM 005. BTW - in case anyone is interested, according to Ted, the specs for the KM 007 are: Head Weight - 370g Loft - 3.0° Lie - 70°
  23. I've found the Egg FW and i+ utilities are the exact same type of club and philosophy as well... the Egg's are the clubs in the bag that definitely prove the "easy swing, let the club do the work" thought for me. They are so light that an aggressive swing will end up in a topped ball, but putting a light, no-effort swing with the club produces spectacular results consistently, even on mis**ts. Definite game changers!
  24. Best bet for face-balanced or near face-balanced in the Scotty line is any of the long neck (ie. tei3) or double bend (ie. catalina) putter setups. Putters like the Fastback, Kombi, Red X, etc. are near face-balanced.
  25. Thanks Eca... I'll follow up and report back if interested. Just picked one of these up and the feel is unreal - really soft, yet solid at the same time if that makes any sense. Seems a bit more upright than other putters to me though.
