  1. ONOFF has lightweight carry/stand bags that are every bit as good as, if not better than. I have 2 of the Four5s and the ONOFF, price and newness of the Four5s is the only reason I don't have 3 ONOFF carry/stand bags at this point...
  2. Funny thing is that crappy artists blame their tools, while we all know it is the artist. Yet the great artists always compliment their tools and down play their own skill... Great article and equally wonderful pics as always...
  3. Really enjoying the 8802 style putter heads and everyone seems to rave about their Bettis so I figured I would take the plunge and try one out… Not sure on any of the specs for the Betti but a couple of rolls on the carpet, it felt nice and crisp... You bought and sold just about everything at this point C. I am a buy and hold for the most part. Finally started clearing out some stuff, though. Might try and trade all the shafts I can't unload for some trackman time with my builder.
  4. Personals are off at UST in Ft Worth getting shafted with the Recoils. The Yams have not come in. Got notice that a package is on its way, but per Tario it is only the driver. 9* with Roddio S6X at 44.5". I think '13 is going to be the year of a 3-way rotation, with the exception of driver. Have more than 3 to cycle through. Week long cycles with each bag should be about right and by the end of the season they should all be dialed in quite well...
  5. Congrats… Nothing better than being able to look back at a purchase and say, "I am glad I spent that money…"
  6. Thanks Ed. Now if we could only break out of the sub freezing temps for a little while I could actually try this stuff...
  7. The clubs have started coming in and getting assembled. Here is the first trickle... 18* Utility, needs to be shafted with the Attas HY 85 still Kasco 340cc driver, shaft courtesy of Supo and head courtesy of Bruinduke: 24 & 27 degree UT, 24* courtesy of Freehb: My first Bettinardi putter Studio SB-3: Toyoshima Wedges, plastic still on as to avoid depreciation:
  8. Wonder if you would have said the same thing with a soft stepped X flex? How much difference the 13g would have made….

I know I am guilty of typos too, but I have to ask anyway... Is it hard to find the tour velvet to rub on your grips? Does the color f the velvet matter? What kind of enhancement comes from rubbing grips with tour velvet vs everyday velvet? Are Elvis impersonators who travel for shows required to use tour velvet for their jump suits? Enquiring minds want to know... Oh and GLWS, a tremendous shaft for a great price...

I look the terms "limited edition" differently than "limited production". I would say the most Panerai or Yam Tours are known to be limited production within a given year. The Special Edition Panerai or Epon Personals/Zen are touted as limited edition. I know it is a semantic argument but it goes to how much faith you put into a brands statements. Most things, I expect to be upgraded or otherwise improved upon for future iterations, akin to Swiss' comment. However those 2 words when put right next to each other have a different connotation. For me I will look at Epon statements with a grain of salt from here on out. Assuming the rumor pans out….

And think it was a 30 year wait from when the first Personals were issued. I'm okay with that kind a time frame and still call it limited.

Copper Chrome was the one everyone seemed to want, me included… If they release a v2, I might copper plate the originals...

+1 Didn't buy to mount it, but to say there wasn't a premium price based on "limited edition" is wrong. Bought to try it, based on feedback. If I knew there would be a refined version in 6 months I would have waited...

I get the concept, but doesn't change the effect. Oddly the Yam Tours, which release on an annual basis I am okay with as a limited run. But I d think there is a subtle difference; the Yams are not marketed as a limited edition, just a restricted run; the Personals were marketed as a limited edition...

While I understand the business side of it, as well as from the "i wish I had bought" perspective, from a consumer that caught the train's point of view buying something that is a limited edition then having the mfg make more is frustrating...
  18. You sure you don't want NS 950 WF 5-P 3-4 can be trimmed for the UT shafts… Real good price for you...
  19. Just to beat everyone to the punch… Recoils… Alternately the Tour Attas I find a nice piercing trajectory with...
  20. As a brand Kyoei might not, but as a foundry, the RomaRo, forged by Kyoei, are quite capable clubs...
  21. I ordered, .5* open with standard length D4. Got the extra head weight as I am going to swap out the shaft for a Diamana X 70 S and aiming for a D2 with that shaft... MSRP is $1129 leave it to T to quote shop price...
  22. I like the blue here, but my fave right now is the white ONOFF with embossed lettering. Probably ordering one of those soon. Will work in my office to store the odds and ends.
