Makes sense to do so because the 151 has a deeper face and EMG a shallower face. Tee height is also a matter of personal preference. What is really important is the dynamics of the swing, angle of attack, and launch angle in maximizing distance. Long drive professionals use very low loft but they tee it very high and hit way up on the ball to get their optimal launch angle. There's only 2 clubs in the bag where one tries to hit up on the ball.

ok sounds good, maybe in a couple of weeks.

There isn't one right tee height. Some pros tee it high, others lower. That said, research and club design point to a higher tee height which allows one to hit the ball on the upswing intead of hitting down on the ball. It's hard to hit up on the ball when the tee is too low. http://www.golf.com/golf/instruction/article/0,28136,1565244,00.html http://www.tutelman.com/golf/clubs/gearEffect2.php

RC DB has a heavier head. Also Fourteen V5 T.S. has a heavier head and nice grind. You may be pleased with the Fourteen.
  8. Yes I gamed it. It was typically soft forged but not "wow' spectacular. It was also forgiving. I thought the heads were a little large and top line thick. Not exactly sure why I sold it, but then again my bag is like a revolving door.
  9. i wonder how many people on tsg may have had one i had a set a while back
  10. Thanks, T. The nice thing about hybrids is that you can stick it on the green easier than its replacement iron which can roll off for someone (like me) who have a hard time hitting long irons high enough. I hit that epon 901 you used to have from Marc, and I'll always wonder why you got rid of such a nice club.
  11. I hit a couple of balls with it since I got a second look at it. It's hard to hit consistently for me as I've gone to playing primarily cavity backs. It is softer than miura US blade and depending on what you're used to that can be a good or bad thing. Slightly firmer than miura giken mb. Was shafted with DG S300 so off center shots were quite jarring and unforgiving.
  12. If size is the predominant issue, it I recall from looking at it, the royal collection is the smallest and comparable to the miura baby blades.
  13. One of the difficult thing with replacing an iron with a hybrid (or driving iron) is that they are not always equivalent in terms of loft. It's trial and compare, but most hybrids launch pretty high so they tend to have a lower loft for the equivalent iron. I think onoff or xxio has some hybrids that are 27. Most go up to 25 ... prgr, royal collection. But they all don't have the exact same playing characteristics. Epon 901 in 25 is a good one too.

Yeah, this could be specific to the 151 Typically on most drivers, hitting it below (or anywhere else but) the sweet spot will have a different feel so you could definitely have found it there.

Then i will definitely take your word for it Glad you found the right place to hit it

Great for visibility but the klenot is so soft that even i lose distance with it and there isnt much feel on iron shots or off the putter ts mild is like pro v1 in terms of feel and characteristics ts solid has good distance off the tee and quite good around the green and off the putter for those who like a firmer feel i think its a good ball for someone with bs around 100

151 is a higher launching head to begin with it may be that it launches too high with the loft ur playing with if u hit any driver lower on the face, it will launch lower its an educated guess, but if u go to a lower loft and hit it where its supposed to be hit, 1/2 in, above center, you can get ideal launch angle and less spin than ur current driver
  18. Big fan of miura blades as miura are known for making blades. Of the ones you've mentioned, I've hit these if only briefly. RC is a very small blade comparable in size to miura baby blades. They look and feel as a blade should. I would put AF Tour in the running for any blades. Don't particularly like the chrome bling finish, but one of the more forgiving blades. Gold's factory with the right shaft is as good as any as well. I haven't hit the yonex nor the TS, but if I had the choice to hit one I would go with the TS 905 limited based upon its look and also TS quality.

And I thought Katsuhiro Miura himself wearing a cape and wielding a hammer over an anvil was what is often referred to as the "Hands of God." MB-5002 ... one of the best blades ever crafted.

I've had to be selective and already have more stuff than time to try out. Still there are some clubs on my wish list. As for putter, I've actually found one, my Gold's Factory, that is not leaving the bag.

The market in the U.S. for exclusive JDM equipment is very small. There are a few authorized resellers of epon in the U.S. not always within a person's ideal geographic location. I think epon is right to focus on their small market of golfers who want top quality and custom options. Typically, someone who buys epon has disposable income and has tried/owned many other brands as well.
  22. Held it in hand but did not bother hitting it. looking at it i knew i cant hit it. Anyhow too many blades sitting in my garage that i cant hit so i didnt want to be tempted. They sure look pure.
  23. Smallest blades ive ever seen, this and miura baby blades. too intimidated to even try to hit it.
  24. Goes without saying, 15 gets more roll even on mis**ts.
