  1. Very nice :) I've always been a fan of PRGR.
  2. Is the J-Spec II much easier to hit than the Fourteen MT-28 V4 (black)? I'm a sucker for black irons / wedges :P Also, how would you compare them to the new PRGR wedge? Thanks!
  3. Hi all, What is your opinion of the PRGR 500 wedge (not the newest model), as compared to the Fourteen MT-28 V4 (black) wedge? Although I haven't tried the PRGR wedge, I've always been impressed with the quality on their woods and irons (currently using the PRGR 501 driver and love it!). Never tried anything from Fourteen before. I'm looking for something that's relatively easy to use that provides lots of spin. Thanks!

Very interesting; thanks for sharing :) So, the steel they use for Miuraism irons are actually better than MG? Besides Satin or mirror finish, is black finish also available? Thanks :)
  5. If you're looking for steel shafts, how about KB Tour 90?
  6. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has any reviews on GF's cavity back irons (e.g. forgiveness, feel compared to say miura, etc.)? Thanks!
  7. The wedge looks interesting. Would they have that in black? Incidentally, PRGR's web page shows a 500 wedge (existing model) that appears to be black. Are they actually available for sale?
  8. I do like the jpx e-500 as that was originally my first choice. However, Mizuno already stopped production on them when I was looking to get it. By some stroke of luck, I managed to find a set, so I went with it instead of the Epon. The jpx e-500 feels soft and is quite forgiving on toe shots. Not quite as forgiving as the Callaway X-12 (what I used previously) but it feels much better. The loft on the irons is stronger than most traditional clubs, so my shots are about half a clublength to one clublength longer. Haven't tried the jpx e-600, so I have no comparison.
  9. Looks sweet! Enjoy it!
  10. Thanks! I guess I don't have any excuses for not being able to drive well then :P
  11. Hi all, Just want your opinion as to how good the stock INSPEC shaft is on a PRGR T3 501 driver? I am under the impression that most stock shafts aren't very good, and it's not uncommon for people to reshaft their drivers to get more kick and/or less spin? Thanks!
  12. I'm curious how you like your Miura putter. Would greatly appreciate a mini review of the putter :)
  13. PW (Mizuno JPX E-500): 43 degrees AW (Mizuno JPX E-500): 48 degrees SW (Mizuno JPX E-500): 54 degrees SW (Cleveland Tour Action): 57 degrees
  14. Thanks. I guess I need to practice harder so that I have more club options :)
  15. Thanks. So, I guess none of the Miura Giken irons are really meant for mid to high handicappers, since the description for 2006 says that it's for mid to low handicappers?
  16. What is the most forgiving Miura iron currently available in the market? The Miura MC-102 is supposed to be for mid handicappers. What about the Miura Giken series available in the proshop at TSG? Thanks! :)
  17. I have a e-500 4 iron and I can't see the pocket cavity at address either. I would imagine that to be true for the e-600 as well...
  18. Happy to hear that you're enjoying your jpx e500! Why did you choose them over the Epons? Also, how would you compare the feel between the two? Thanks! EDIT: I'm currently trying to decide between the JPX E500, and Epon 701 or 501 though I haven't yet had the opportunity to hit the Epons.

Thanks for your advice; I'll check out the videos. In addition to the NS Pro 750, I'm also considering Tour AD-75 and the Axiv 758M graphite shafts, as they were recommended. Perhaps, at the end of the day, it'll partly depend on which irons I decide on? Currently considering Epon AF 701 or AF 501 but haven't had the chance to try them.
  20. Which one did you finally decide on? Did you also consider the Epon AF-701? I would've thought that the 701 is a closer comparison to the JPX E500?

I haven't had the opportunity to ask the club-fitter about the NS 750 recently but plan to do so when I go for some golf demo days. The last time I asked a club-fitter about this, he said that he didn't recommend reshafting any new set of irons - no idea where that comment came from. I'm currently using Callaway X-12 with R graphite (RCH 96) shafts. You're right - I do usually fade my irons, especially the longer ones. I normally hit my wedges with a slight draw.
  22. Thanks for the advice. I was only thinking of trying them out to see how they feel. I'm shopping for a set of new irons and would like to try as many as I can before making a purchase.

Hello, I'm considering the ns pro 750 for a new set of irons and would like some advice about it. According to a club fitter, my swing speed for a 6 iron is mostly around 85 mph, sometimes going to the high 80s/low 90s. My ball flight is high and I hit my 7 iron (Callaway X-12, Graphite R) about 150 yards. The ns pro 750 appeals to me because it's light and there is some vibration absorption capabilities but I'm not sure if R or S is better suited for me. Would greatly appreciate any comments you have. Thanks!
  24. Just wanted to revive this thread and see if anyone knows of a store in Singapore that carries Epon?
  25. Hi all, It's about time for me to change my irons - I'm still using Callaway X-12s. I'm currently considering either the Epon AF 701 or Mizuno JPX E500/E600. Was told that these irons are forged by Endo, which certainly adds to my consideration. Haven't had a chance to try the Epon yet but hope to do so in the next couple of weeks. However, I've read reviews that there is a metallic "ting" sound when hitting the ball due to the asroll stainless surface. Does that also mean that it doesn't feel as soft as the JPX E500/E600? Also read that the Epon X series is basically the AF 701, but without the asroll stainless surface, which I take to mean that it has a softer feel? If that is true, is there still anyway to get the X series? I've tried the JPX E500 but not the E600. Would love to hear any feedback about the E600. Thanks!
