I having so much fun on TSG I decided to start a sale!!!
My understanding is they come from Japan finished. That's correct, from several conversations with Bill and John with Miura NA... the NA heads come to their Ft. Worth facility after finishing in Japan. I have Miura Giken CB1005s, 5002s and the NA 52 & 60 wedges and the wedges are every bit as good as the 3 - PW in either set.

Just curious, why do you say the NA Miura heads are in a different league? Besides the grind and toe shape, how are they different from the Miura Giken heads?

FS: R7 10.5 Stock Stiff!!!
R7 10.5 MAS Stiff shaft. I'd say this one's 6 out of 10 with a medium size ding on the back edge of the crown... not noticeable at address and does not affect performance... in fact last time out I hit some of my longest drives with it. Pics available on request. THIS WOULD BE A GREAT STICK FOR SOMEONE THAT HAS WANTED TO EXPERIMENT WITH AN R7 BUT DIDN'T WANT TO LAY DOWN 500 BONES. $260 SHIPPED to Cont. US!!! Includes 2-2g and 2-10g weights, wrench, trajectory wheel and BRAND NEW headcover (still in the plastic).

The effects of shortening Project X shafts?
As Jeff said, the extra length will be countered by the increase in swingweight in a normal application (6 iron shaft in a 6 iron head). The hardstepping piece of this equation should amount to about 2 - 3 cpms more stiff than standard. Your using a 6 iron shaft in a 5 iron head that weighs 7g less, essentially decreasing the finished swingweight by ~3 points. Think of it this way: +.5" = +3 cpms and +3 swingweight points, total effect to flex 0 cpms - 7g = -3 swingweight points, total effect to flex +3 cpms

SOLD!!!
Brand new TM R7 TP 10.5... 9.9/10 only because it's not in the plastic and the sole shows some swirl marks from normal shop wear. Club has hit maybe 10 balls indoors with the head taped. You can not distinguish this club from new... face and crown are perfect. Factory installed Fuji SIX Stiff at 45", original grip. Comes with headcover, wrench, (2) 2g and (2) 10g weights, and trajectory wheel, but I've misplaced the additional weight kit... price reflects that. Get a TP for the price of a retail R7... SOLD. :surprize: Paypal accepted.[/b]

WTB: Aldila R&D Proto 65-S
Looking for an R&D Proto 65-S, prefer new/uncut. Will consider a clean pull with less than 1/2" tipping and over 42.5" total length (prefer 43") and no more than 1.5" of prepped area. I have an R&D Proto 85-S (new/uncut) that I might consider trading for the right shaft.

Lead Tape around hosels
One last thing will it affect the integrity of the $$$ shafts??? No.
-
Lead Tape around hosels
this is basically the same principle as putting lead down the shaft to adjust swingweight. Since you're only adding 2-3g's of weight, placement is not critical, although I come from the school that any extra weight should be added behind the sweet spot. To answer your question, no negative effects, and you won't notice the 1 cpm change in frequency.

duffy
And, slightly smaller profile. My 17* Duffy is slightly smaller than my brother's 18* retail 200.

FS: SLIGHTER STAINLESS TACOMA CUSTOM!!!
Slighter Stainless Tacoma custom putter for sale (looks almost exactly like a Scotty Newport Two). Full floating face, 350g head, 34", Slighter black headcover, and new Winn USA "AVS" grip (very similar to the V17 grip). This putter has some REALLY cool stampings. Sole is blank, back bumpers are stamped "350-g" and "SSS". Putter has red tour dot on heel of face and in cavity with dancing s-l-i-g-h-t-e-r in the cavity also. Initials EJP stamped on the toe of the face. Site dot on the top line. This putter is $259 new, plus an additional $40 for the floating face option... I paid $195 to the original owner two weeks ago. Slighter putters are easily the peer of a Scotty or Betti, but I quickly realized I need a center shafted or face-balanced putter... ordering a custom center shaft from Slighter when this one sells. $180 shipped (in the original Slighter box), OBO. Paypal preferred. Only blemish is a scratch on the sole (circled in picture).

Fuji 660TR tour spec
I think it will still be WAY too soft for you... you should probably just send it to me... should fit me perfectly! 1/2" won't do much to stiffen it up... maybe a 1/4 flex (2-3 cpms).
-
Dumb ? for all my TSG friends. How much to reshaft....
Depends on the type of work you want done... just a reshaft w/grips should run you about $35 - $40 per club. Full blueprinting can run as high as $65 - $80 per club. Your clubbuilder should get close to your desired swingweight with a basic reshaft, but don't expect perfection unless you get a full blueprinting.

Losing ball right! Need help on where to trim shaft from...
235 to 250 is quite a jump (1 1/2 flex). You may not be able to get there with that shaft... depends on the shaft, but in my experience 1/4" of tip trim is about 2 cpm so you'd probably have to trim in the area of 1.5" - 1.75" to get to 250.

aldila nv
It will not feel stiffer... you will only noticeable change the flex by cutting at the tip. You'll loose approximately 3 swingweight points (6 points for every inch).

Mixing Tugston powder with epoxy???
You could do it, but it wouldn't be a very precise way to swingweight the club as you would only get one chance to get the right amoung of Tungsten into the hosel, and unless you premeasured epoxy/tungsten for each club. Plus, you'd have to reshaft to change swingweight. Not very practical.
