Make sure that your length maxes out at 42" (the limit).
  2. Great! Thanks for posting the video C!
  3. Looks like the 505V UT has a hollow cavity above the rails. What does that do in terms of design and performance?
  4. I second the Iomic Absolute. It has a a textured surface. If you want to stick with smooth rubber, the Iomic Midsize is also around 65 grams.
  5. Nice!!! That's only the 2nd time I've seen copper AF-Tours.
  6. An option would be to pull the shaft on low heat. That way the shipping cost would be a little less. If you're worried about heating up the head, you can also heat the shaft above the hosel until the epoxy bond breaks. Just make sure to keep the heat source moving. Another option would be to try your hand in the art of paint filling. Tamiya has translucent paint that will give you the same effect.
  7. I'm sure that T will put up a review after he gets the demo in. It can & can't depending on the end user. There are a lot of topics on the possible benefits of shorter than the "current standard" length clubs. All things created equal (same swing, strike, speed, conditions, etc.), a longer shaft will be longer than a shorter one. If you aren't consistently hitting the sweet spot with a standard length driver, the new PRGR Egg Impact driver is worth a look at.
  8. Anyone up for a launch monitor?

Pretty good touch for someone who hasn't played in a year!
  10. I'm guessing from the quality of the pics that it's translucent paint(?). I haven't had that problem with any of my GF putters w/ non-translucent paint fill. Have you applied or wiped down the putter head with anything (i.e. WD40)?
  11. You're going to overpower the M-43 shaft with your swing speed. Re-shaftting it with a steel shaft seems like a good choice for you.

The easy to hit & forgiving of the deck part would be the Egg Spoon. I guess you could try to pair it with the right shaft to get the trajectory you want.
  13. You don't have to restrict yourself to the two putter designs that you have mentioned. The beauty about Master Sasaya's creations is that you are only limited by your imagination & budget. It would be best if you know the specs that you need (loft, lie, face angle, head weight, etc.). Then you can go around designing the putter that you want. Head shape: Looks like you've decided on the anser style head shape. GF also has the GFOOA w/c is more compact & boxier in shape. I'm not sure if the other head shapes are still available (Private Stock No.1 & 2, GF01B). Personally, I prefer the smaller head shapes. Design: Entirely up to you. If it's possible, he can do it. If you do a search, you'll see some pictures of his different works over time. Face Milling: The Kanji has the 1st Gen PZ Milling. Helps get the ball rolling sooner & reduces skidding. Some say that the milling mutes the sound/feel a bit but, I actually like the way it feels. There's also a Next Gen PZ Milling but, I haven't tried that. Finish: Multitude of finishes to choose from. The two putters you mentioned have the teflon black w/c is very durable. Material: "Softest feel" on putters can be very subjective to the end user. Either material should be fine. Another factor on feel is the ball you play with. Different balls will give you a different feel. Stock shaft: I think that it's around 120g. If it doesn't work for you & you need a heavier shaft, I highly recommend one of the Nippon Heavy Putter shafts. Grip: The stock grip is pretty good although, I've shifted to the bigger Iomic Absolute grip w/c helped me stop being too "handsy". Contact gocchin as he can help you out the best with all the options available. Just keep in mind that he might be busy with the Japan Golf Show on the horizon.

I think that for irons on steel shafts, a torch is fine as long as you constantly keep the heat source moving & remove the heads once the epoxy breaks down.
  15. I wouldn't compare the CPM to other shafts. Remember that the Royal Decoration has a softer butt profile.

There's a solution you can use to remove the discolor. Think it's called blue away or something similar. Shouldn't be a problem.
  17. Yes, they can get you them if you like (http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/topic/31663-shimada-shaft-rundown-desperately-need-some-help/). Just send gocchin an email.

Mighty fine set of sticks that you've got there! Love the Doraemon headcover!

7 degrees of loft... Slower swing speeds need not apply... Looks like PRGR has a new Egg driver out for the faster swingers. Although I can only dream about hitting a driver with that low of a loft, I am interested in learning about the technology and design behind it. It also makes me wonder what they have in store in the pipeline.

You're making better contact with the shorter shaft length. If its working for you then go with it. Longer lengths will give you better distance only if you are able to make a center strike consistently with it.
  21. Daniele, You can order the drivers from the TSG proshop.

The Japan Golf Show is next month. Some manufacturers have already announced 2012 models. Check out the GTI blog (http://www.golftoimpress.com/) for announcements as well as reviews.

Yeah, the ball spin no. is really low. I think closer to 6000 is better(?).
  24. I don't think he mentioned "FW" in his posts. It's a 13* Ryoma D1 driver.

They are unplated so I don't think that the finish will hold up over time like the satin version. Gocchin and Blader-X mentioned about it in their reviews here: http://www.golftoimpress.com/royal-collection-db-forged-wedge-review/ and http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/topic/30618-jdm-wedge-triumvirate/page__st__24.
