I do club repair out of the Golf Course I am a member at. I have an account with MCC/Apache. You guys are right on, They are one of the most underated shaft companies out there. I wish business was better so that I could push more of these shafts out. The MFS 115 iron shafts are very acurate and tight for graphite. I have a set of T.M. C.B's that have them in there and they have a really nice feel and trajectory. All my woods have MCC shafts except for my 3 wood (Nike T-60) it has a Fuji 869 in it. I just can't find a better fairway wood shaft than that one.

One of the owners of the course i am at lost his Xr-03 wedge a while back and would like a replacement. Tried going through Taylor Made North America but no help at all. Thanks, Jimmy

according to the article the big hitters should be using a driver of around C0? He makes a few points that seem valid however. I may have to tinker with my standy clubs and swing weight them all in the C range to see what happens. J

I did it on a couple of my R510TP's. I personally prefer a heavier head and the TP seemed to weigh in at around 195grams or so. I used my digital scale to weigh the head and then to let me know when I had put enough poly fill in there to get to 203 grams or so. I don't remember the exact numbers but they are close. Yes the poly fill will raise the center of gravity a bit. I guess it mainly depends on how much you use. My driver was 10.5* so it could stand a little higher C.O.G.

Wouldn't believe how good it dress up a set of Ping irons!!! On an old set of ISI's I had masked the club except for the face and bead blasted them. Looked really great, give them a new look .

I'll have to look around for my papers to let you know for sure but I believe it was 1" for a driver. That will be a good rainy day project for me, to find my trimming instructions!!

Might be correct in a way but for me when the SW gets less than d3ish I can't feel the club at all and my accuracy suffers even more. What was his basis for the lower swingweight being better?

The R7 is a very low spin head. If you don't have the swing speed or launch angle go with the 10.5*. Quit honestly I feel that the majority would be better off with more loft with the R7. You can always adjust the weights or the shaft. I have an R510 TP and a tour R7 both 10.5* and the R7 is much lower hitting than the R 510. Jimmy

When I applied for a Fuji account I had to sign papers stating that I would not sell the shafts as components. It was almost like the attitude was "We are not a component company and will not stoop that low". If a person is caught selling Fuji's as single pieces then there account can be revoked. The initial buy in is very substantial by the way. I forget the exact number but I do remember it wasn't worth it for me to keep a bunch of high dollar Fuji's laying around my shop at the golf course trying to sell installs to a bunch of 65+ year old retired men. ,It is one of the most accurate shafts I have ever had had in a driver (R510TP). I was affraid of hitting the X flex that I normally play because of all the things I had heard about it being so hard to hit and all. I don't think that is the case. Just like any shaft as long as it fits your swing speed and transition type it is one of the best shafts out there. I personally don't think you can compare a Purple Ice and a D03 however. Both are great shafts just deisigned for different uses. The D03 I had in my driver was very stable and was very accurate. The only reason I changed it out was because I thought I could get a little more distance with a lighter shaft. Despite the fact that I had hit one of my longest drives ever with the D03, R 520 combo.

I used poly "cotton" fill on my R510 TP and R580 tour issue. Both muted the sound nicely and really helped give them a much better feel. One of the benefits for me was that I could use the shaft I wanted and use enough cotton to get the swingweight to what I want and still have a neutraly weighted driver head. It does raise the center of gravity a bit however. Jimmy

Usually 2* is the most people will bend a cast club. I use Eidolon wedges and bent them more than 3* upright and didn't have a problem. The problem with heating the hosel to make bending easier is that you would break the epoxy bond from the heat. Jimmy

I have used foam ear plugs before just to try out. Seems to work very well without any weight penalty
