blade choices of recent times ............
season of blade play almost done. srixon and honmas. the srixons with the v-sole , and micro milling worked best in thicker, softer grass more like a really aggressive cavity than a blade had 1 superb round with them in some savage wind and nice grass with the dgs200s , this set launched vey low and powerfully, they were actualyl too low for what i need here tho. i need more carry and a higher softer fall. SO i resahfted a set with NS 105 protos , now these went good and especially in oz in winter on MUCH harder grass they excelled , on thinner harder ground they were a VAST improvement. highly recomended shafting option the 105 are very tight and light. . very good match , better than the dg by a long way i think. honmas, got both sets of the tw727m and the 717m. smalls differnce here. subtle but def noticable. both came with DGs200 as stock, absolutely NOHTHING wrong with the set up as is, very pro. results but once uve hit NS for a while its virtually impossible not to play them. the feel is just so addictive. its just a matter of which set.. ok so the 125s got the first set of 717m. played these back home in winter and they were good, ithink they need a bit hotter temps to really live, but they were pretty darn good as it was. factors of note are the weight, much heavier compared to the 130s and 105. this made for a frozen rope flight. and a "heavy" ball. they fall haeavily and sit. its pretty good to take aim and shoot, not much beter if found ,ESPECIALLY in small blades! u can kinda move them about a wee bit but really its like fine tuning the shot. the 130s i discoverd i can really move about , way more than the 125s.... im deciding right now which to reshaft the other sets with id think il prob go with one lighter set . like the 105s. might hard step those.. or a set of shimada 115 tours. and a set of 130s. that shud leave all bases covered . and hopefully my desier to swap into other sets , that itch shud be scratched!. found i much prefer the smaller compact heads as a rule. just somethiing about hitting a compressed small head that leaves everything in its wake. not sure exaclty waht it is , but its htere, heance why i played the honams more than everythin else this season. really my fav set. (althought ill still be using the masdas on club champs day). the honams really shon for me, they get my vote. although on softer turf if u dont wanna play tiny heads, the srixons are just fantastic ,adn the feel is sublime, so soft, so nice. for me tho its the tiny honams that won my bag spots

Soliciting Your Opinions on Three Iconic JDM Blades
hmmmmm not sure if they are a good comparison really , these are 3 VERY differnt style blades. the titleist is almost like a filled in caivty back, its got a lot of forgivness, very rounded and thick the miura is a minisucle original blade and the crazy is a "big " blade. i was going to get the titleists, but the shape totally threw me off. i immedialty thought it u play golf on really thick ,soft spongey , water alden courses these might be all time. i dont, so i was immediatly offput by the shape. the other 2 cud be better, if ur deciosin is based on size. of those 2 id take the crazies, bec they are a bit differnt. but id tke the miuraisms over the crazies equally. if they were my thing. the 3 u mentioned are in thier own category ask what u want thick fogriness. big blade, tiny blade.

Epon Zero-Kai
i played this yesterday with a DOA 65s shaft. typical EPON feel. just so dam nnice. similar looking design to the ZERO. but thats where the siialrites end.! i admit i was standing on the tee looking down on it and VERY much thinking , shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, this is like going back to an old girlfriend that has had an extreme make over but the same GF you once caught cheating with ur (ex) best mate and broken up with..! .... it just looks suspicious..... (and dead scary !) (ok well , ive had a beer so one more time once round with her wont hurt i think, after all she is a stunner! .) hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm it seems the "old girl" has had more than a make over , it seems shes been to TONY ROBBINS seminar for mind alteration! just delicious. 2 high soaring draws dead cernte in a row with PLENTY of distance and a "shottracker" flight left me quite breathless and bewildered. this is good., this is real good!! the shaft was superb., the feel was great . compact look, absolutley nothing not to love here at all. cpl more dirves and i dont wuite middle it, caught them both high and wide and sent hem right. immediate gulp. fk it reload. OB slicematron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wha the????? sorry is that nothing more than a block to the right ruff???????? are they BOTH found , in bounds and playable ? thast imppossible. i know this model im dead man walking agian. oh goody gumdrops, they are BOTH in play and fine. can hardly beleive it old girfriend welcome back!!! ohhh. then it hits you. this AINT a new improved old girlfrend, reworked thur mind regression, although the look is so simialr. then it hits you.. its her younger sister all grown up with longer legs and a pretier face. ! ahhhhhh welcome darling. may u continue to exceed ur tempermental older sister henceforth.! great driver for those wanting compactness. shaft to match is superb!

Mini drivers
got so many of these fella. one of the better ideas ive ever come up with is to build an uber easy driver , like an onoff../ a taylor made burner.. i used the TM tp and put one of those bimatrix shafts in it.. u will not make this move anywhere, it is gunbaarrel straight ,very heavy and the best of all driver replacements to find a fairway.... play it around 44 inch its not long, u cant go wrong with it i tell ya

Seven s15c Preliminary review.
I want to add a few thouhgts on the wedges as well... Chris let me have a test of a set of the 52 and 56 chrome wedges. shafted them with NS 125s Straight out of the box into my hot little hands they look really good, same finish it seems as the golds putter with emblazing on it ,not sure what its called but it presents very well. the shiny chrome with the label etched , damn good look, very minimalistic, no extra words , numbers nothing. its as simple as u cud get. shape. they have a striaght line sole ,the are of mid size, def not comapct , def not BIG. a higher toe and a bit of offset which frames the ball close to the face, (esp the 52) they have a thinner flat sole , and a thicker top line which def improves feel. , a higher toe to make hittign the ball very easy. but for me this is where i ran into problems when i tried to move the ball i found they went too far left and it wasnt natural to cut them. the 52 has more offset than the 56 and that makes hitting down on the ball STRAIGHT.., very easy i found, i didnt miss**t one with the 52 over 2 days practice with them, but i dont really use the 52 that much so i dont really pay that much attention to it , but i did notice i got great spin, and a very flat trajectory , the 52 certianly bit. the grasss on impact. the 56 i spent a hole heap of time with, the spin is excellent, the look at address is abit bigger (than im usd to now) grooves look superb. striaght shots were fine t when i hit down into it and tried to drag it back miles. verstailty wise, i didnt find them overly so.., , to my eye they seemed not to like being layed open , i was fidgeting with the look, i was playing on grass like clouds so soft but the 56 ddint appear to look comfy being moved into unnatural position. but for hitting dead stra8 a pins it was excellent impact, these are pretty soft. i was saying they are not like epon soft, they are kinda like a crisp dense feel like crazy protos. shape isnt too dissimialr to those either. i found the spin with them to be spot on, they werent backing off the greens and they wernt roling fwd either , for my eye they were dead set spot on. had them shafted with NS 125 so the shafts arnt that friendly! but they still did what i wanted them to do. overall, these have lovely look / lovely feel, but for what i require especially from the 56 , they didnt suit me. they have a bit of offset which to me is a killer. but for 99% of the rest of the golfing world its a non issue. i think they wud play well on harder pan grass as well, the bounce, im not sure what it is , but it wasnt big bounce prob didnt help on the grass i was playing offf. id think they wud crisp the ball prtety well on harder stuff. i found that bec the 56 looked uncomfy beign laid open a bit was a detriement and i was struggling to find the sweet spot with it unless ihit it dead straight which is somehing i never do. my thoughts are these wud be a set of all rounders for guys of a higher capper nature that either dont want or need to get too funky with thier wedges. if tis aim shoot at a pin, no probs what so ever ,they imparted very good spin. and felt lovely. IMO even tho the shape isnt my thing and they didnt suit my eye ( i like the tourstage x-wedge shape which seems no one else in this universe likes...!) id guess they are prob a goer for a lot of guys. if ur a higher capper def worth a look of if u u dont like big broad soles and either no bounce or lots of bounce and like hitting dead straight. these are worth a peek. thanks to chirs for the op. to try these out
