  1. It's over for me nothing works driver gone to the dogs Irons may as well use them for shirts And the putter.????? I'm sure they can be good hammers Except the Roma thats still ok
  2. some serious thouht about playing tools this past 6 months has closed the focus enormously on a vast amjority of my clubs. for a while there my house loked more like golf paradise than a home...... i have 1 or two of everything if all manner of configerations. i played them all. mind you, as ive said my rangeing time this last few m9onths has outweighed my game time. all my playing partner have flown the coop! so it gave me great amount of course/range/ proper balls time to work thru my swing characteristics and see what clubs i actually play best. my penchant is for irons sets and drivers ... the fairway conundrum has ben totally relsoved a while ago with the 09 yamaha v14 / the crazy f16.. and the new prgr egg just eating the competition for desert.... the new RC got a gig, but it wasnt dynamci enough to repalce what i trust. as a single entity tho that RC bbdv is a heck of a club ,but its an allrounder.... no need for ian botham in my squad when u have garfield sobers and imrahn khan on fire... im afraid....! so no changes to the fairway woods.. yamah v14--prgr egg HD----crazy f16 get the nod. the irons.well............... irons is irons till u change the engines that runs them...! and the biggest single piece of OH MY GOD was the simple change in shaft in the TOURSTAGE 905 blades from monacco stiff, which came in at about c9 SW........ to the monacco TX flex 122gram VS 135 gram on light heads.. c9-d2.5 humongous difference in flight and tighness. these are damn good now icant beleive the differnce. high and wobbly to lower and taught but still a lighter SW. top sticks the kamui pk01 irons i have are gettign real air time. likking the shape a lot and the feel of these a lot, they are right up there. the epon personals are proving themselves indespensible in all conditions. and the reshafted yonex again with a heavier shaft are a LOT better . putters.... well , the epon zen is the best blade and the matusmoto 1999 is the best anser but the other 645,543,654,789,000 putters i have look good in my bags and on my wall.

  9. heres what i do.. if my irons are PW @! 48* i go either 52/53 gap 56/57 SW and 61* lob if my pw is @ 46 of the ludicrous 44*... then ill go the 50/51*--56-- 60* option. all depends on what u play ur pw at
  10. i dont know . but....... since ichanged the grip on this to the iomic slightly fatter grip than what was on it originally.. my putting with this has been very substandard. i use the iomic on everything......... and i love it. however... im going to swap it agn bec im not gaming it can u get a thin leather wrap , i mean lir the ping style.. that thin ??

  20. well im taking the vokeys to oz on wed so yes i like them plenty. the grind on them is the best ive played..can do anything with them. same shaft.. i normally dont like to do comaopre/contrast without hitting identical engines . but ive played them both enough to know the nuances of them. and my mind wouldnt change. ok.. hes the wedge set up im taking.. 51* touratge maru with super heavy 2s15 shaft. if it gets windy.. this gets it. 53* tourstage maru with NS 2f15.. thast pretty much my gamer week in/out. 56* vokey with NS 2f15 60* vokey with NS 950 s.. i go the NS 950 s in all my lob wedges. ive tried the DG spinner in the shingo, and i think its too heavy for a lob wedge. im all about handsy feely wrists for lobwdges. and HEAVY thumping hsafts for the other wedges. is that normal?
  21. a good solid 90mins on the chipping range with the 56 + 60 * wedges in both on saturday. shafted the yamaha with NS1150 tour x shafts the vokeys with NS wv 115 s. on the short cropepd grass the yamaha actually looked like they have a more cutting edge. but a top line significantly thicker. and it provides a more more noticeable "punch" at impact. the vokey in comaprison seem "thin" the yamaha has a MUCH nicer impact feel. the vokey is more feelly/ touchy in the hands. the vokey for short ( 30-50 yards) aggressive semi flops spun more and stopepd deader better, the yamaha got a bit more pop. the vokeys were better here. from in between 50 -80- yards with a 3/4 proper shot to an elevated green the yamahs distance control was noticebaly better. the vokeys in comp. were consistantly shorter . but spun more. the yamahas got to the pin and stopped, the vokeys bec i think imaprt more spin. ended short more often i had to really get thru, the shot and hit the ball ahrder to get it there. didnt feel natural. i found the yamah better for distance control and accuracy but the vokeys better for sit spin. the shaft differnce was very noticebale as well ,the NS 11050 got the ball HIGH and arcy.. the NS wv was lower and flexier, prob another reason they spun more. unsure as to what i liked more shft wise . they were totally differernt styles. ithink the 115 are too light for me tho, and prob a flex too soft. shuda got X..! the grooves on the vokeys seem a LOT more aggressive and the face is a lot bigger than the yamaha. more surface area.the yamaha seems more pear shaped. the yamaha in my eyes are more aethestically pleasing . result..... well ii likd the yamaha better, form further they seem to have more "class" than the vokeys. but for versatility the vokeys are a top all rounder, esp in close . they were better for close bunkers . but worse for longer shots. the sole is broader and the grind more variable for different shots. prob why i liked the better from close quarters.but not so for longer shots. the further the yamah went ou the better they go in comaprison. oh dont worry about them beig conforming grooves either ,, man they spin plenty enough ! form the heavy rough yamah much better. more pop = much more consistant greens hit , the vokeys were shorter by a long way much much more. i think the yamahs a re heavier aswell. if i had to have just one set .. i thinki d plum for the yamahs..
