  1. hmmmmm well. the 3wood shaft didnt go in it at all, came in at c9 SW with a counter weight. thats no damn good. had the driver stinger 70x aswell, but that came in at d6. he asked me what length i wanted these at. i said prob 3 wood lenth 43 inch would be ideal id think. butcouldnt get there with the shafts that id had back to the drawng board.
  2. after getting my kasco Driving fairway up nad runningwith great results. the temptation to try the best fairway woods was just too much. read a bit about the RC d/S and bec ive got a heap of their 3,4,5 woods it really wasnt hard decision. got a cpl of heads so ive been considering shafting them up with ive got a heap of crazy 80fws already. and well its pretty hard not to put those in them i can assure you. the differnce in the heads form the kasco to the RC is huge, the RCS are like big 3 woods. nothing like a driver what so ever. they are a very big deep 3 wood. but much smaller than the kasco. and FYG, that kasco is playing really really well, i was out driving my mate with it on sunday just a bit tingy for my taste, but hte quadra fex in it is 100% prefect! with the RCS its just the shaft selection is making me ponder. my thoughts are put the kahoona quadra in the 13 and meld the high head with low launch nad in the 11* put a graphire drgign p9003x uber tight but a littel higher launching ,agn balance out the 2 sticks. the 11 is for australia in the wind in palce of a driver at longy bec i dont ned length there at all its only 6300 yards. i need to split the fairways every shot. the kasco i though had this possy , but its al ittle high for wht im thinking even with the quadra, this is going superbly here in japan. so its down to the quadra in the 1 and the p9003x in the 13 or somehting similar to those. matrix 8m2 is one im loking at, and naturally the crazy 80fws whay say u all??
  3. i know nothing about the 8m2 if ucud give me some deets on it . mightbe a good idea.
  4. Mjr d these two still to go juts got a cpl of ROYAL COLLECTIONS driving spoons and thought these might be good fit its these or a cpl the p9003x.
  5. sounds like a state of origin chant..............., or a sat arvo at the "G". carrrrrrrrrn the blues !!!!!!
  6. Ive had my fair share of probs witth these beauties. kept heeling them all over the course ,was doing my head in had to sel lthem bec i just coulndt handle the pain emotionally. i absolutely love them, but coulnt play them. was heart wrenching so as an experiment ....................., i bought a 7rion last week and shafted it with a shimada tour 120 stiff. took it to clbubuilder to get it measured ,and its o.5* -1* upright. depending on what ur view on stock is aparently. i had it flatened to 61* and still was clumping the bejesus out of the heel. so i flattened it to 59.5*, to me thats ludicrusly flat. NOT with this puppy tho, no sireeeeeeeeeeeeeee bob. prefect, so i took it out yesterday to the game and hit about 20 bals with it before the match its perfect now .looks a bit flat to the eye , but i think i need it like this t o get that hell out of the way. i have a feeling i thinki know what the next of irons i buy..............(again ) will be.....................
  7. oooooooooh that sounds tasty indeed. ive got a cpl of thier shaft in my roycoll FWS those guys do a stellar job, ive had a few things made bythem. the guys are seriosuly anal about clubmaking. love the roddio van.
  8. mate WORST day out in my life the course was spectacular. they cut the rough form a foot to 6 + inchs on the firways around the greens tho it was just horrendous. the ball literally sank thank god i ahd the bunker meijin! saved me about 6 times. and the fairwasy were no more than 15 yrads wide in parts. we palyed stroke and nasau so everything in the cup. 3h15m for 9 holes. they put us behind a group of 16. 900yr old morons who thought it would be a good day out to play shishido hills the JPGA open course a week after the tourny. where every yr -6 wins the damn thing and no more than 8 guys go sub par! absolutley NO IDEA what so ever. every hole was 4 groups one on green one on fairway 2 on tee box. lost it at half time , then they said u have to wait 1.5 hours at lunch and start back nine at 3.40pm , and . oooooooh ooooooooh maybe u wont make full 18! i LOST it. we went star8 ot the tee box nad played the back nine in a brisk 2.45. talk about no flow, no concentration, just horribe day out. but i stripped my mate out, and took the day and the coin. gooooooooooood coin. 3 hole blow up throught out the day tripple ,tripple ,double, the rest was super solid. club choice super important, to kthe jbeam 425 tour crazy 80 7.7 as driver i gave this 10/10 for performacne. the yamaha tour 08s with the ORA prototype shaft agn 10/10 wedges i was better off throwing the bloody ball, hit them like a mong. the matsumoto putter. hit that so-so. balls ,i played the tourstage x-01 mild forn tn ine then switched to the bridgestone super newing premium brills back nine yup its official its the super newings for me. much nicer to hit spin NOT an issue what so ever. the stimp was running abt 10 ish plenty fast enough for us chopchops.....! stil lgonna do this every yr. the course is just sensational. if anyone wants a challenge pop over this time next yr and well organise a weeekend up there. its a top spot.! goes to hosw how good th pros are we played form th STONES. 7392 yards. yee gads some of the par 4s were just gulp. one is 508 yards. u juts have to laugh.
  9. i swapped out the shaft and put a qudra fire express in it and had a good whack yesterday with it 10* its a LOT better with this shaft the bangvoo feels kinda mute ,the FEX most certainly does NOT. the FEX keeps the ball down a bit more aswell. and it gives ita kilelr kick, improves this club enormously. still got the anti left thing going on, but i was very very pleasantly surprised. made it to play d2 at 45 inch with a 75xs shaft, can easily come down a flex in this aswell. to get it turinig over a bit more. distance improvment was noticeable as well. was tempted to cut it to 44.5 but thought ican just choked own on it without a problem. would have played it ysterday, but the jbeam425 tour was just soaring. going to keep this for a raing day. the bangvoo in the yamaha tour is MUCH better than the fex and the fex is MUCH better in the yonex than the bangvoo differnt strokes for differnt folks.
  10. blue is lower. lowest orange is mid . gives a higher kick but still straight. modus gets in the air quickly and stays there. but goes staraight. feel in all is a bilion times better than DG. albeit it prob higher. been hitting the prototype modus in my yamaha 08s day light between these and EVERYHING else.
  11. Sp blue much lower modus high and tight bith greAt for different reasone and style ans swings
  12. no, no ..., less that the original i think its straighter.
  13. ive seen 2 of them they look really good. pretty expensive, not met anyone whos hit one tho. i was toying with the idea of getting one for a hit , but the expense keeps stopping me.
  14. its abeauty of a shaft that proto bob. its not the biggest seller here, i think the old FEX is still bigger, hard to get hold ofthe proto. i still say its a bit higher flight and not as anti left. still got hta unral quadra feel to it, just a tad more pingier. mines 75xs and i think in comparison to the old fex it feels slightly lower kick. give us an update on what uthink
  15. no saw the other model but didnt like it one bit. they were on show at the tokyo golf show. lif u want more info golf WRX has huge spot on them
  16. yea they are tight, and high, ball gets up a lot higher than the kbs, much better distance control i think, the kbs are like a uber populsion device. the ball goes further with these than others ive found i dont like palying them. cant get my distance right and they afeel a bit boardy. the ,modus play just a little looser than flex so tour x isnt say a DG x 100. and its a lot nice rfeeling and the ball goes the :right: distance.
  17. agree about the 13* off a fairway, not the easiest club ill ever hit. and a higher spin shaft will be a neccessity. the yamaha 14 is a great club, distance terrific, feel beautiful ,and depending on the shaft either ahigher mid or low penetrating shot. top stick this one. but,............., the 15* egg makes most other look pedestrian really. AND it gets up in the air much better than all the rest. that the one i m thinking by a way. a shaft with a bit more spin or softer flex and itll rocket to the greens like uve never seen before. this does the job of the D/S but its a bilion times easier to hit from a fairway. hard to beat really............,
  18. most def not! i am doing exactly thesame dropping distance in the driver for a 12.8* d/ from kasco and im hittting more fairways and scoring a lot better. i play a cpl oftracks that dont realy need the big dog and its worked brilliantly. ive just ordered the RC d/s , it was supposed to be here today but hasnt shown yet. wanted it desperatly for toms game , looks like it wont behere in time. thr 13* egg is the one that springs to mind if u want a fw. or just the 15* old egg, thats plenty long enough
  19. figure of speech frank, means i think u will love them.
  20. wow u lifted these??? ur heads gonna come off with these. unbleiveable feeling. u might be one ofthe only gusy to go this road.
  21. yea ididnt weight it but i think it woud be 3 ish iddint care i just wanted it to d2+ SW the exact amount i didnt look at. but 3 ish sounds close.
  22. i just cut 2 strips to cover the dsi and coloured it in, with black permanant marker to make it look a bit better. u might need only 1 1 slice to go to d2 2 will go to d31/2 id think, the difference has been amazing, i gamed it on saunday and iddnt top one everything was form the cnetre or mid toe. huge differnce. much much better
  23. had a great hit out 2 nights ago with both this and the srixon uti both 4 utes so 22* + 21* stock shaft in the fourteen as mentioned. ns 950 s in the sixon. hit abt out 20 + balls with each from mats in perfect conditions. the fourteen is heavier, much heavier, esp on swing weight, dont know the exact numbers but the feel was nociceably differerent. the ball flights were differnt but not too mcuh , the 14 is lower and more penetrating the srixon more floatier. distacnce id say the fourteen was longer by 10+ yards. the look at address is very differnt the srixon uti is a big iron. big light huge soled iron. with a noticaeble amount of off-set, the 14 is sleeker ,more rounded and alot more hybrid style. impact is very dissimilar as well, the14 is quite punchy and solid , where as the srixon is feather light buttery and fast. the srixon was MILES better feeling the shaft in the 14 is ok at best. theres ntohing good abot it or bad it just is. adequate . they could have done LOT better here than what they did. makes the head feel pretty dead esp. in comp to the srixon NS combo, ud never pick up the 14 on feeling if u hit both. but............. but....... the 14 was a lot more penetrating, easier to hit both ways.and longer. its very nice at addres , i never think im gonna scuff it, with the srixon tho and that huge sole that thought isnt too far away. the srixon is the more versatile of the 2 in current make up. i wil pull the shaft in the 14 and put a ns in it for sure. that combo of ns 950 and ute is a beauty. as it stands the thumbs up goes to the srixon. but il lmake another judgement when i hit it with te steel shaft. iwas thinking of going all carbon in utes bec. the NS just feels so damn good and the ball goes MUCH straighter more often. overall both are pretty easy to hit ,the 14 is the easier and longer, the srixon much better feel and look. as it stands srixon has got its nose in front. but with the same shaft im thinking there might be a change around
  24. ah yes....., off set wedges. i know them well. my kyoei rafw 03 have a LOT of offset. i mean a lot. when i frst started palying them i kept snap hooking them . so i flattened the lie1.5* and now im NOT hooking them what so ever. and i like to hit knockodown wedges, off set wedges make this shot sensationallly easy to do. takes a little while t get use to th giant scoops in them but when u do ifind th shots brilliant, i esp like to hithtese when its windy much better contrl. plus the 52* for chipping to te pin form just off the green is super easy , can hood the ball and dril it real close with tops of spin. the 52* with off set is my fav by a mile
