  1. yes indeed. i find it the easiest to hit the ball sqaure an distance control is fantastic. the face is a copper milled insert that feels very nice. if im not putting well ill go to ths putter bec of i feel its the best to get me close. i like it a lot. even th funky shape. doenst bother me in the slightest.
  2. GRAPHITE DESIGN --mx stock yamaha 62g torque 3.5 mid kick 42inch shaft in 3w. pulled form 2011 yamaha v14* mid flight , non biased , the yamaha stock shaft made by GD i rate this as playable for my SS neither sloppy nor stiff. its a nice shaft that does a good job. and for a stock issue its VERY good. remember i comapre everything to quadra and crazy and theres nothing better than those . this shaft has never been used. id say playable for guys over 90mph no issue what so ever. i pulled this shaft immediatly. $120 + GRAPHITE DESIGN tour ad pt 7x 3w+5w shafts. 106 cm + 104 cm pulled form my royal collections 304p to make way for a pair of crazy 80fw. iplayed these for a round before i pulled them nad i found the mto be vey easy to hit shafts they teneed to go mid flight and lovely to move around , a LOT easier than the ones that i repalced them with! distance was fine, flight great , feel is soft X def not stout. these shafts found them selves in a lot of fairways with good reasaon. they are a lot /easier/nicer /softer to hit than the ev and md series ithink. it think they play o nthe softer floatier side. ver ygood shaft , not the most dynamic pingy GD make , but really really nice to hit with great feel. $300 the pair.
  3. wow beautiful gear glws they shouldnt last long id hope.
  4. in england and off 10 or better........, my intial thought were u might be better off with something a little more 302 like. stronger clubs somehting like that , what esle is in that realm?
  5. Id be surprised if u didnt like the proto i find it to be a bit straighter than the fex and a bit higher. Tingier feel than fex like its got a tighter weave. Its def higher for me as well mines ina 8.5' epon 102 no probs with launch what so ever. Good colour as well. U know its not dissimilar to the bangvoo see what u think
  6. yep......., pretty hard to beat the RC for all kinds of fairways. must say tho they heads are smaller compact and low launching that most other brands if ur a good fiarway hitter they are on the top branchs of the fairway wood tree. maybe ill try one of the rc utes after seeing kawai -san clobber the pants of his i was very interested.
  7. 4 drivers. the kasco 3w 3w 5w 5w 7 irons 4 utes 4 wedges 4 putters ahhhhhhhhhhhh 28 clubs and i dont play them all together i leave the spare bag at the clubhouse and swap around after 9 only way i get to play all my goodies! occasionally my playing partner and i declare a free bag round where we can bag what we want. love those rounds this sun .were playing shishido hills which is the japaan open course ,they had the tourny there last weeekend, so they leave it in tourny set up for a week for anyone mad enough to take it on. -6 won it this yr, ryo ishikawa shot 77-83! im backing ifi shoot 90 it wil be a good score. this will be a 14 club round from the tips at 7400 yards. already going thru the best set up to tackle this beast now thats madness!
  8. my mate has the older vesion of this last yrs model, he palyed it on sunday hit it beautifully with the di7s in it he was KILLING it with this thing so the newer model must be the bees knees. didnt hit it but boy was it nice at address , frames the ball beuatifully. smaller head than the yamaha. but in the same shape. ur right, its not boxy what soever . look fwd to hearing ur views on this
  9. damn ur dead right , i thought theyd offer these in soft lighter foex ...but nope. sorry abt that i shuold checked more thoroughly. if u dont want an anti left, id think about going for roddio. nice smoking high draws , and light. all carry. my mates play them and they love them wont change they swing about 95 ish
  10. my thoughts would be maybe an noir series 80 as i think it goes a little straighter and more left than the LY 01. nad its not as low. that set up u have us really low. the noir i get to turn over beautifully. its abeautiful shaft T-san , that sound right??
  11. i got the j46 as a BIG anti left shaft i catagoriacally can not turn that over what so ever in the crazy 435. even a flex light it JUST goes left the tiniest amount. the cb is a left bias i think my cb 80 noir is alovely draw ball every time. the FEX is anothe antil left same but to a lessor degree is the quadra proto. the bangvoo is straight.
  12. ha..............! funny u shud mention this , as we speak......., i was gettting the skinny on a new heavy shaft for my matsumoto this week. ill ask my guy see what he thinks. i cut the shaft in mine to 32 inch but it s not right too light keep pulling it.
  13. this weekend i palyed twice on the same course,in similar conditions, moist and windy pretty much covers it. i wasnt playing the usual suspects so i cud bag what i wanted. had about 27 clubs in the bag yesterday. was playing really well, scoring very well, so i was hitting my driver long and strong both days. got a really good understanding of how they all play now , fresh in my mind heres a cpl of mental notes jbeam 435--- crazy cb 80 jbeam 425 tour---crazy 80 yamaha tour 425---bangvoo crazy 460---- crazy 50 stigma ryoma v spec.----crazy 80 cb noir epon 102---quadra proto i played a cpl of drivers each 9 then switched. makes it much better to test out in match cons under pressure. the lowest flight was the j beam 435. by a way highest was the crazy 460 most solid at impact was dead close but when i really yahooed into one , its hard to best the j beam 435 . the best off miss hits was the ryoma esp off the toe the diffence is staggering! the best looking at address is the crazy 460 the hardest to hit consistantly is the yamaha tour. the best "feeling" was the epon 102 and yamaha tour hard to split the longest consistantly was the j bean 425 tour, the drivers i think i can bag with utmost confidence every time are the jbeam 425 tour and ryoma. although i prefered to hit the crazy 460 . and the epon 102 they won be bagged when the coins on any longer. obv the shafts makes a monumental diffence but at this end of the scale , they are all pretty tight and equal. its the heads i was most concerned about.
  14. i had a good whack with the bangvoo today in the yamaha tour 425 head... was gaming it with a jbeam 425 tour- crazy 80 7.7 and a 435 j beam crazy cb80 7.2 on the par 5 into the wind up hill slightly , dead straight shot i hit alll 3. middled all 3 aiming to hit a draw. highest was the yamaha tour , bangvoo, lowest was the 435 longest by a whole..2 yards, was........... the 425 tour. easiest to draw was the cb80 7.2 hardst was the crazy 80 7.7 straightest shot was the yamaha bangvoo easiest to hit was the 425 tour. nicest to hit was the 425 tour. the yamaha bangvoo , its certianly the best feeling. by about a country mile! the bangvoo is the easist of these shafts to hit. and prob the easiest ti hit straight. longest shaft under the pump was the crazy 80 doesnt matter which one of these id use they are all brilliant.
  15. mother of gawwd. 250 swinging easy nad soft to get this......., 306from elevated tee to middle of fairway. yes thats the exact number on the bushnell scope i had my mate check it to verify, wewere both was pleasanty surprised dead straight, dead straight down the tubes. split the middle of every fairway hit if form off the tee, and used it n the par 5s to chase the greens. longer than the 3 woods i have, best decisioin ever taking the quadra 75 xs and putting that into it. murdered it .absolutey murdered it. not only is this MY driver repalcement tool its also a 3 wood replacment tool. its absolutely sensational, sounds hideous, like that nike square thing. but oh lordy lord , where the ball ends u is just incredible, im blown away. its staying maybe for ever. just goingto get that hideous yellow paint out of it.
  16. Stingers the best shaft. Numero uno ichi ban big kahoooooooona it looks the best as well why, why not just is imo
  17. ENDo forged. 2007 model great condition. very very good driver i think it was one of the best drivers in that yr to come out. rated pretty highly agaianst most. one of my all time favs. the Ev6s ini t makes it pretty tight and lovely to hit. decent length withut being a monsterlong, get a nice mid flight and very very workable plays 45 inch by 313 gram EMS shipped $310
  18. im in ................... negotiation right now. my "friend" just got a set in but the price is ,,, whoa boy up there cazaley. im trying to do deal to get these for another goody ive got. the 214s for the epon af tours then? and the 215s for the yammy 2011s? also flattening the lie on the aftours , that ok right?
  19. yea. ive decided to do that today and play them tomorrow in the yamaha 08s. cant bring myself to swap out the X-100s in the 2010s tho they were absolutely prefect in everyway. i tibnk the epon af tours are destined to get the f214s and the f215s form paul casey i think might be going into the yamaha 2011s i really , really do think i have too many irons.........,
  20. thats the head im thnking of sticking this on , if i cant play the yamaha the jbeam 425 tour, ilove this head. its killer, its super long and just a bit higher then the 435 . the bangvoo in this will eb superb. yes i think its this shafts destiny.....!
  21. if u tip it it will make the club quite a bit firmer , ive found and much lower. so be carefull how much u tip it. an ilima tipped will fly quite a bit lower and starighter id imagine. not a bad shaft to do that to, i certianly woudlnt be doing it to a crazy. the butt extensions are as simple as a pice of another shaft stuck in the butt and covred with a grip wont know the differnce feel a differnce. nothing wrong at all with tipping most shafts just dont advise it on the anti left ones or ull have to be dustin johnson to make the thing go straight. ive had some calamatous fk ups doing this., even to a blue board. which is now a tomato plant holder. 1/4 an inch in the ilima shud be fine id think ask goodsie tho hell know for sure...,
  22. i went tip weights in teh kasco thing last night with resounding success took it from d0 to d2 i dont know what works better , but they both did hte job required. lead tape look unsightly tho i m not a fan of that to look at, might black paint it in
  23. imagine the wdges without al lthe writing o nthem and in raw. this is what i palyed with alst night. i was mucking around nakajimas sans shop aslt nigth and i came accross these things.the heads are TINY. i had a few hits with various shafts nad found i really liked them, id always gone for bigger wedges, till i bought the kyoei rafw 08s now its small an compact all the way. these thos are really small. the face look smooth as slik, im trying to get some info on them but none forthcoming yet like al lbaldo gear id imagine thety arnt cheap. Tario, any goss on these at all sir?
  24. pretty sure ill kepp this it was terrifico last night its just a what if kinda club. esp fo those hard to hit holes. not usre if ill repalce the 3w but can be a driver repalcemtn NO problems sand in between pebbles inbetween boulders............., ad infinitum
