Just wanted to say thanks to everyone again. A number of members have reached out and have been super helpful, generous and it's a great community we're a part of here so thanks again bngolfer, spoon, goodsie, vineman, fatman, and especially Chris and Tario for creating this.

Thanks Vineman, that's super useful feedback. I think I could be tolerant of the hardness so long as the top line is thin, the of set is minimal and they're of "USA" type weight. The gold's factory blades were almost too soft for me. Small is good too and the real kicker is that a good friend could help pro deal them for me for about $600, 2-PW with my shafts of choice (kbs's). I think the Epons may run me double that so this might be a good option, letting me save some cash for a good driver. Thanks again V. Generally speaking, did you like the proto blades? D

Also, T, are those new RC wedges the same size and shape as the Sky Jump Dream wedges? I've got to use my old clevelands for a while and just can't go back to the large size.... -d

Thanks Tario. Will definitely be sending over a list once the dust settles.... Clubs are so much more personal than just the monetary value as I'm sure you know.... It takes a while for them to feel like part of the "family". All the pureing, flo'ing, bending, cutting, weighting, etc, etc. *sigh* it's depressing. Do the DP-2010's exist in two forms? The proto and the regular versions? Any difference? -d

I wish it happened in the USA - at least there people have good security cameras and reliable insurance, etc. China is frustrating to say the least. I think for the gear, the rough specs I know - but there's so many options. The AF 102 is really nice - I'll probably do that, just need to pick a shaft. Would love to hear how people are liking their Quadras and Crazys. For the irons the shafts are determined, it's more of which heads - the callaways would be bought on theory, the epon's i've hit before. Have you ever played the callaway protos or seen them? I'm assuming that the S20 steel should be pretty top notch out of endo and with US weights, etc. they may resemble my late MP-29's + variable weighting. -d

Guys- I'm back to building a bag up from the ground again. I went into Hong Kong on Tuesday to renew my mainland China visa and came back to find a window from my car smashed at the border parking lot, thanks to what I think was a result of me carelessly leaving my iPod Touch in the center console. They got my stand bag that had my MP-29 set, my Yes!Golf prototype putter, my Yamaha V201 TourModel + 9003S I owe to bngolfer, my TM Burner TP driver, and my DP-2010 wedges, not to mention my wedding ring, rangefinder, 3 sleeves of Pentas, spare contacts, and other random stuff. I'm pretty much working on rebuilding from scratch here and will be gaming a borrowed SuperTri and my Gold's Factory blades in the meantime. I have Robb40's 9.5 Degree Legacy Tour Head coming from the USA in a few days which I'll now need to buy a new shaft for, but am leaning towards biting the bullet and purchasing a 10.0 degree Epon AF-102 but the shaft is undetermined. My current swing speed is 113mph, with a 166mph ball speed with 2037 rpms of backspin so based on that I think I need a mid-kicking shaft at about 265 CPM's. Any suggestions for a shaft? Quadra, Crazy, etc? For irons, I'm considering ordering some Callaway X-Forged Prototype blades. They come 2-PW and I think the combination of Endo forged, blade + a teeny bit of technology, and US type weights and minimal offset will be a nice combination. I hit the Epon 302's recently and like those as well - gonna be a tough choice. For wedges I really am in love with the DP-2010's, but want to know a little more to see what the "proto" version is and if that's still available. For a putter, I'm liking the looks of the Odyssey #9 in the black finish, but with all these new purchases this will be the last priority. Besides feeling a bit destroyed (Goodsie can attest to just how much we've done sending clubs and shafts back and forth between Japan, Austin and Dongguan, China), I guess it's an opportunity to get the bag 100% right so if there's anything you guys love and would recommend for a low single digit that appreciates clean and traditional looks and great quality please give me some input as I'm going to need to get on it ASAP. *sigh*

I've played a sleeve of Brills and liked them okay - I felt that they were fairly long and high flying but nothing special in particular. I've just started gaming the B330-S and really like that ball a ton. Not sure which ball I'm going to game for the longer term, whether it's the B330-S or the Penta, but find that I like the spin I can generate with the B330-S - it's got amazing stopping power - but the Penta seems significantly more durable. The Brill is probably more durable than both. I'm interested in hearing how people compare the B330 to the B330-S. I think I have the swing speed to play that ball (115 ish), but am pretty happy with the S because it's still long off the tee like a Pro V1x but has more Pro V1 like spin (and maybe more) around the greens.
  8. Spoon, I played mine for a little bit as it was the stock shaft in my Yamaha V201 Tourmodel. I found it to be too light and was getting too much movement (it was a flex too soft for me as well). I'd say trajectory is mid+ and is more smooth rather than hard kicking. I think I prefer that kind of feel in my fairway woods, along with a thicker face, but in the driver I like a good active feeling stiffer shaft with a hotter face to pair with it. I hit an X-stiff motore f1 today that I thought was pretty decent and it was fairly similar to the DI6 I thought despite being slightly heavier in the low 70g range comboed with a TM Supertri TP.
  9. The spoon certainly sounds attractive. My Yamaha V-fw is a beast off the tee but it's not forgiving at all (trajectory wise) off the deck which usually has me wanting to push a 5W rather than pull the 3W. Most of the par 5's at the courses I play are pretty well guarded and don't allow for rolling approaches unless you really work them in there so the egg seems fairly attractive for that. I wish it didn't have that little jewel like alignment dot.
  10. iDrive- I'd like to take you up on the offer if it's still available. I'm pretty set on going with 302's but actually hitting them would be a huge plus! I'm in Dongguan, China but can provide a UPS account number and such if that helps or give you my San Francisco office address as well. David.
  11. They look amazing new, that's for sure. Would be awesome with my Black Nickel KBS Tours.....
  12. Dropping to $1200 Shipped Worldwide.
  13. Considering the 302's at the moment and was wondering if that black finish holds up. Have you gamed that finish at all and how does it compare to the chrome or satin? Upcharges? David
  14. Really liking both my Yamaha 3 & 5 Woods, the V-Fw's with the SF-8 shafts in them. For a safe tee shot on tight holes I used to be a 2I guy until recently. The 5 wood is really long and I can get an easy swing 230-250 that stays put. Never been too confident with the woods compared to the irons but it's changing a little. d
  15. I have a set of four Fourteen 2009 Limited Black MT-28 V4 Forged Wedges for sale. They're in great playing shape as there's no major dings or knicks and the grooves are still sharp, however the black finish has worn considerably due to the humidity and so there's a little bit of rust on them, but will do my best to clean them up before shipping. All of them were purchased at Victoria Golf in Tokyo and then reshafted with black nickel KBS tour X-Stiff shafts and white new decade multicompound grips. I'm asking $75 for each plus $25 for expedited global shipping. If you're interested in more than one, please figure in the shipping only once. Paypal accepted. Please check my other BST listings for my gold's factory proto blades, Yamaha V201 Tourmodel Driver, and 9003S shaft. All clubs are in about the same shape. Grips are in good condition but shafts have consistent rubbing at the steps as you can see in the photos. Details: Fourteen 2009 Limited Black MT-28 V4 Forged 48 Degree w/ KBS Black Nickel 6.5 flo'd shaft (46.5 actual with 8 degree bounce) (fair condition) Fourteen 2009 Limited Black MT-28 V4 Forged 52 Degree w/ KBS Black Nickel 6.5 flo'd shaft (51.0 actual with 8 degree bounce) (fair condition) Fourteen 2009 Limited Black MT-28 V4 Forged 56 Degree w/ KBS Black Nickel 6.5 flo'd shaft (56.0 actual with 12 degree bounce) (fair condition) Fourteen 2009 Limited Black MT-28 V4 Forged 60 Degree w/ KBS Black Nickel 6.5 flo'd shaft (60.0 actual witih 8 degree bounce and wide sole) (fair condition)

(STOLEN) I've got a brand new 9003S (Stiff) shaft available for sale. It was a gift that is going to be a little too soft for me. I'm asking $200 including express shipping globally. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/Graphite-Design-Tour-AD-P9003 Thanks for looking and both paypal and wire transfer will be accepted. Please see my other recent posts for my fourteen wedges, gold's factory blade protos, and Yamaha V201 Tourmodel Driver.

Please note Paypal is probably the easiest method of payment but wire transfer should work as well.

    product delisted - stolen
  19. Thanks Spoon. I'm a little bummed to see them go but you do what you gotta..... Wish I could just go somewhere and demo everything on the TSG site with every shaft option!
  20. These clubs are still up for sale, but I'm going to put them into play again as you'll see from my recent post on my game bag being stolen, so they will potentially have a little more wear on them, but plan to use them for a few rounds until replacements come in - either in the form of Callaway Prototype blades or Epon 302's. *** I'm putting up a beautiful set of Gold's Factory Prototype iron heads for sale. I've played them for 1 round and a day of practice on a grass range. As much as I love the looks and design, they're not for me and need to allocate the dollars to replace my tired MP-29's. This set is one of only two sets made so the rarity factor is definitely there. I'm asking $1300 for the heads shipped. Will entertain offers for the clubs as is with white Iomic M62 Stickies + LTD KBS Tour 6.5 (X-Stiff) Black Nickel Shafts that have been pured and Flo'ed by Goodsie but plan on keeping these for whatever set I end up with in the end. Thanks for looking and please also be on the watch for future posts for the additional things I have for sale including: Paypal or wire transfer please. Yamaha V201 Tourmodel 9.5 Degree with Graphite Design P9003X shaft, like new/barely used, pured/flo'd by Goodsie Graphite Design 9003 (Stiff) shaft (new) Fourteen 2009 Limited Black MT-28 V4 Forged 48 Degree w/ KBS Black Nickel 6.5 flo'd shaft (46.5 actual with 8 degree bounce) (fair condition) Fourteen 2009 Limited Black MT-28 V4 Forged 52 Degree w/ KBS Black Nickel 6.5 flo'd shaft (51.0 actual with 8 degree bounce) (fair condition) Fourteen 2009 Limited Black MT-28 V4 Forged 56 Degree w/ KBS Black Nickel 6.5 flo'd shaft (56.0 actual with 12 degree bounce) (fair condition) Fourteen 2009 Limited Black MT-28 V4 Forged 60 Degree w/ KBS Black Nickel 6.5 flo'd shaft (60.0 actual witih 8 degree bounce) (fair condition)
  21. Yeah, perhaps. I'm a little torn at the moment and have been going back and forth with Goodsie and Tario regarding my next set of irons. I'm thinking that I'm going to pull the black nickel pured/Flo'd shafts out of the GF Protos and put them either back in my current set of MP-29's or into AF Tours or MP-68s. I was looking at the 901's for a bit but don't really care for the look even though the offset is about right. If anyone has a photo of an AF Tour 3-Iron that they could post I'd appreciate it. I want to see how the offset looks as well as the overall blade size. I would prefer to stay at least as short heel to toe as the MP-29's if not even more compact and don't know if the AF Tour does that. They seem like they're bigger than both mizunos. If Epon did custom head weights as well that would be pretty awesome.
  22. D5 without having to tip weight would be ideal. More mass behind the face would be ideal for me. I think in general it's the little bit of offset my eye's not used to that's throwing me on these which is unfortunate because I really like the shorter irons.
  23. So the end of the story (so far), is that I did order the GF protos and were more beautiful than I imagined and so it's even more heartbreaking that they just don't feel like they're for me. I need a heavier head and offset that is near non-existent. There's a teeny bit on those clubs and my eye just can't get used to it. My plan is to pull my pured and flo'd KBS Black Nickel 6.5's from the heads and put them into another head. So far the top contenders are the Tourstage 901 and the AF Tours, both being fairly low on the offset and both heavier than standard Japan issue models. Has anyone played a set or even both?
  24. Spoon, the grips are yes, White Iomic Stickies. For the clubs themselves, I've found them to be extremely beautiful, but a little bit too difficult for me to get used to as the swing weights are on the light side for me at D4 and there's a slight face progression that's more than I'm used to as well with almost no offset on the shorter irons but a couple of mm in the longer ones (from about the 5 iron on). Ball flight is just a bit higher on these than my MP-29's as well. In general they feel like they would suit a shot shaping swinger, more so than a hitter. They are however very consistent and probably attribute a significant amount of that to Goodsie's tuning. For feedback on refined versions of these clubs I'd say I'd personally prefer a little more weight overall. The shapes are lovely - the top line is razor thin which is really appealing to me but a little more weight up the top flange would be great to keep ball flight down a bit. Sole grind is an A+ and the finish is beautiful. For me, the last preference piece would be to have less offset in the longer irons - the short irons to me feel spot on and have really liked the 8-PW clubs. They're great clubs no doubt, but it's the small things that are keeping them from being the 100% ideal love connection for my swing style. I'm debating whether or not to keep them in the collection as they're both rare and beautiful or put them up in the Buy/Sell/Trade section while they're still fresh.
  25. Well, my GF blades arrived from Goodsie's place in Austin, TX yesterday evening here in China after a grueling 2 weeks in customs. Really stoked that they're finally here and am about to head out to the range and a round today. The nickel black KBS 6.5's are an amazing looking pairing and will get a full review out shortly. For now here's a few iPhone quality pics.
