  1. Not sure I agree with this assessment. Specifically with respect to the comments relating to technology. Golf clubs are not complicated instruments when it comes down to it. There will always be a place, IMHO, for clubs that are beautiful but simple, made from premium materials and that conform to tight physical and mechanical tolerances.
  2. I guess it's hard for me to be completely objective, as I own the 501s and love them, but I can't say that I prefer the aesthetics of the 502. The one feature that appears to be a big plus with the 502 is that leading edge grind, which looks to be very similar to the AF-Tour. I demo'd those before purchasing my 501s and it was a truly a standout feature for me when it came to their performance. Anyone comments from 502 users regarding the sole grind?
  3. It would be great to see some photos of the cavity design in the longer irons? Cheers.
  4. I love the feel of the 501s. Certainly different from the 32's and difficult to make any direct comparison as I also changed from DGS300 shafts in the Mizunos to KBS5.5s in the Epons. However, taking feel, looks, forgiveness and overall results into accout, I would have a very hard time changing to any other iron from the 501s..........Except maybe the 502s!!!!!!.
  5. I play off the same h'cap as you and I moved from Mizuno MP-32's to Epon AF-501's about 6 months ago. I'm assuming that the 302 and 502 loft progressions are the same as the 301 and 502 ( i couldn't find them on-line to check before posting). I too was a little concerned about the stronger lofts in the 501's, but after hitting them during the fitting process, I decided to leave the lofts alone. I just had my wedges adjusted to get my distances gaps right. I've been really pleased with the results. Hope this helps.
  6. I Can't say enough good things about Gary Tozer at Aussie Custom Golf. He looked after me extremely well. Fitted me out with 4-PW in AF-501s and 50,55,60 in 208KGX wedges. He did a fantastic job with the equipment and even threw in some tuition from his partner with the deal. Enjoying my golf more than ever before.
