  1. Well, Leaderboard wasn't quite sure either....I'm hoping somebody eventually will see this post that has re-shafted one. Thanks for the ideas though. FAQ, OT but how you liking the 460 comp compared to the 460? Much difference, performance-wise?
  2. Thanks for the reply FAQ. I did that and am waiting for a call back. A Golfsmith tech in the previous thread I mentioned had done just that (thus the "Hogan says .355 taper" comment) , while some others in the thread were disputing that and saying .370. I was just wondering if anyone on this board had actually done it and what there findings were, since I'm much more familiar with the credentials of those on this board as opposed to others. The .370 tip seems more accessible and offers more options than a .355 it seems. JS
  3. Sorry if this has been asked/answered previously, I couldn't find it. Have any of you guys reshafted this club? Hogan says .355 taper but I've read on the Golfsmith message boards that .370 is the ticket. One guy said the OEM shaft he pulled was .355 but with a ton of epoxy. Not sure what to get. Thanks in advance, JS
  4. I was afraid of that. If I wanted to try it and use some lead tape or one of those cavity fills, would anybody know where I can purchase a shaft and which shaft it would be? Thanks for the info JS
  5. Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me a bit. I've got a 2-ball 34" regular shafted that I'd like to maybe turn into a belly putter. Is the belly and long versions of this putter head weighted differently? Also, not exactly sure what shaft I would order to do this. I guess I'd need to get the shaft installed then cut down to fit my "proportions" a.ka. I discussed this with my belly and he was more than willing to meet the the putter halfway. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks js
  6. Just noticed the other day that the Tour Platform 26.3 (is this the same shaft that's sometimes referred to as Tour Release?) is available online thru Golfsmith now as well as the Banzai utility shaft.
  7. Wanted to see what you guys thought before I do something drastic. Little background...Played Ping ISI-Ks for about 6 years at 1 deg flat and R shafts. Shots were usually close to target with a slight fade (about a 12 handicap). Recently got fitted (dynamic fitting) for some miz mx-23s and was fitted at 1 deg up and S300 shafts. Fitter (reputable in my area) said I needed to flatten out a little at the top which I've been working really hard on. Here's the problem...Everything..and I mean Everything is going left to the point where I'm aiming 20 to 30 yds right of target and the right side of the green is still in no danger. Never paid much attention to my divots because I'm kind of a sweeper but they seem to be a little uneven (deeper on the heel). What do you think...Could the fitting have been a little off? Should I get them bent back just one degree (to standard) and see what happens? I appreciate any and all feedback. Jason
  8. Thanks guys for your input. I've decided it's worth the extra few bucks to make sure it gets done right. Got an appointment for a mizuno fitting this evening. I've demoed the MX-23s a few times and love 'em.
  9. Yea....i'm pretty sure they'd apply the cost of the fitting towards the cost of the clubs, but I'd be paying retail plus tax (7%) when I could get them for less online and only pay shipping and somewhere around $50 or $75. and no demo days listed on their web site for NC
  10. Have a question for you guys. I'm seriously looking at purchasing some Mizuno MX-23s to replace my Ping ISIs. I've always played regular shafts in irons (jz reg in ISIs) but when I did the custom fit options questionaire on TGW.com I filled in my driver swing speed (90 mph), desired ball flight (medium) and it recommended the S300s as opposed to R300s. I play regular shafts in drivers and FW woods, so I was a bit surprised since I assumed with my swing speed reg flex was a no brainer. I know getting custom fit is worth the money and I'm considering it. I know my lie settings are -1 flat so I was hoping to save a little money but this was a slight curveball. Can any of you guys tell me if this sounds right and if I should bag the idea of online fitting and bite the bullet (about $40 at the local Mizuno reseller). Thanks in advance Jason
  11. PM Sent on Launcher 400 HC Thanks JS
