  1. Hell....when did they leave!?
  2. I second Supo's recommendation. On the US side, Lamkin R.E.L. 3Gen.
  3. Dammit! Dammit! Dammit! I'd actually buy those for $1200!!!! Weren't these like $2000+!?!?!?!
  4. I agree with chriomikey on this, but if push really did come to shove, you could stick with the Mizuno family and get some MP-64's or MP-59's. Seeing as you are playing with straight blades, either of these should be more than enough forgiveness!

    Ok...I'm good now. :p

Ok, so ummmm....this is the really really really expensive shaft that cost's over $100,000? FYI: the aesthetics of this this whole driver is very nice Craig. I really like the way the driver looks in this picture...menacing, but sexy. :p

If I didn't know any better, I'd swear they were doing motion capture for a video game. LOL!
  8. Well its about damn time! LOL! I've been waiting on you all to show this wedge, since forever!!!!! I'm surprised no one has asked, "Hey Chris/Tario, can they CNC custom designs in my wedge?" LOL! Seriously though, imagine the possibilities.
  9. Um....wow...I'm really at a loss for words here, positive or negative. Not feeling the putters at all. The drivers look like like they can be customized in some form or way, so that's good. Don't mind all of the verbiage though. It's kind of eclectic in weird/cool way.
  10. Chris, I send prayer's to the custom iron gods to make this happen. :p
  11. OMG!!!! I'd actually sport one of these....and I only like flow neck designs. Man that is tight!
  12. For me, the jury is still out until Chris and Tario get their hands on one. Wedges....not so much, but then again, that's what Yururi is for! ;p
  13. Ed, Don't know if my experience counts but here's my review of the Honma blades: http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/topic/36879-my-experience-trying-honmas-tour-world-tw717m/ My bad, I meant Chriomikey...
  14. Would this include their shoes and other accessories as well? I hope not, Tourstage has some of the best looking designs I've seen in golf shoes.
  15. The next time I visit Annandale Golf, which is one of my area's JDM stores, I want to try one of these. Never been the greatest driver, but ever since I got fitted for the R1 and Regio 65, my confidence for drivers is really good. I know the in the demo driver may not be the best for me, but I'm gonna' give a whirl anywho. I'll post my thoughts when I do. I really need to get over the whole JDM driver thingy. :p
  16. Ditto on the blades, but I'm happy to see the first fruits of GTD. Not like I'll be getting any of his gear soon, but I hope he does components...just sayin'. ;)

Here's my .02 cents on this. I have no money...yet ;p, but I'd want to try this. Why? As some of the guys have mentioned before, because of fascination and intrigue. I think it is so cool to see the process, that goes into making this shaft. Now, for what it's worth, I'm referring the $1800-$2000 shafts. Spending over $100,000+ for a personal customized shaft like this is a bit daunting, even for my wanna-be-rich tastes. I'd literally have to have $50 million in the bank, with everything else I wanted first, before I even BEGAN to pull the trigger on this caliber of shaft fitting/premium shaft. This one Is this a bit much, for me, even if I had the money...yeah. However, and you guys who already own a lot of JDM stuff, may think I'm wrong here (and I might be...), JDM drivers are nothing to scoff at either. I mean, I'd plunk down $2,000 on some custom Buchi irons and I know that I can't get them as components, which is a big big deal for me! But man, $1,000+ for a driver?!?!?!?!?! For the head alone at that! Hell, I can give my specs to Kamui Works and tell them what I want in my driver head, and they cost less! Yeah, I'm in the $600'ish range, but it justifies the price...to me. Again, this is how Daris see's it from HIS point of view. I'd really love to hear Supo's story once he's gotten things started. Think you could do a video journal of your experiences Supo and share them with the class? Just sayin'. ;p Again, I'm interested, intrigued, not to mention anxious to read Tario's write up of this company and everything pertaining to the production of these shafts in both price ranges. Even more excited to see someone blessed enough to take one for the team to give a try and hear about his journey(s)! Don't know if I made any sense with this post or not, but I hope someone understands what I'm trying to say here. Oh snap! Forgot to ask you something Chris. Can you all make a suggestion of what will work based on the shafts specs you are using or plan to get? For example, I know for a fact, that the Nippon Regio 65, is what works best for me right now. Based on what TSG is trying to do, could it be done like this or is there a lot more to it? I'm referring the non-custom shafts you will offering below $2,000.
  18. Training question: Is High Repulsion, a fancy way of saying Hi COR? In essence, is this NOT a legal COR driver?
  19. Sorry about that Chris and thanks. Should've done that myself, wasn't thinking.
  20. Hello again TSG'ers! This thread is sort of an extension of my "Full JDM Gear" thread I posted earlier. In that thread, TourSpecGolfer mention that it'd be better to expand your JDM arsenal instead of relying on one brand of JDM gear. Of course that thread was for fun, but his comment got me thinking,"If I DID have the money, what would I really want to play with?". So I went to the drawing board, and did some research. Here is what I came up with and why: Driver Baldo 8C Craft TA001: I have no idea why, but I really really like the looks of this driver and the price range is decent. I'd like to know how it hits and feels from anyone that has playedwith it. As far as a shaft goes, I'd really have to find a way to put the Nippon Regio 65 in it. That or something with similar specs within the same price range or less. If I'd want to really needed to save money, I would put the Axe Xcaliber Tour 6+ in it. (Am I going to get banned that? :p) FW Wood I trully have no idea what FW wood I would want. I know I'd want a 17 to 18 degree loft and it'd have to be a component....that's just me. I know that limit's my choices, but if I needed adjustments, it's not like I can go to Japan and get it adjusted again. Ok, I'm really being an ass here, but I'd rather have someone I know build my stuff locally...can't help it. As of right now, I'm looking at the Adam's XTD (last year's model) for the FW wood. Utility I really don't plan (well, at one time I did...) to get a hybrid/utility club. Still have mixed feelings on this as I'm trying to save money when I get my gear: JDM or OEM. I know the trend now a days is to skip the 3 iron and replace it with a hybrid. I'm still kind of old school on this, as I feel I strike the ball well enough to hit a 3 iron. Besides, it's not like your going to hit it out of the rough or bad lies. I do like the versatility of the hybrid, but your still paying more to add this to your arsenal. I'm a really big fan of, and have hit Adam's Proto 9031 hybrid. I mean I really love this club. If I had to break down and get a hybrid, this would be it...period. It's very compact, with little to no offset, and it doesn't look like another FW wood, like some hybrids. The only JDM hybrid to even come close to this size head is RomaRo's I-Brid utility club. (If I missed one, please let me know.) As far as a shaft goes for this club, I was fitted with the Fuel 85 hybrid shaft. I think that's a Fujikara, but I'm not sure. Irons OK, now we're getting to the fun stuff! I honestly have to tell you guys, I couldn't pick just one set of irons here. I'm a vain bastard when it comes to clubs (found this out while looking at TSG, go figure. LOL!) I had five sets of irons written down, but as I thought about it, I would go with one of the following three (In the order that I'd want to get them): 1.) Romaro Pro Forged Muscle: Sexy as hell and I've heard nothing but great things about them here on the forums. 2.) Musiik "On the Screw" Forged Blades: really great price and very unique looking irons. Chris spoke highly of them too. 3.) Geotech N17's: best bang for your buck in JDM gear...enough said. As far as shafts go, with money to spare, I'd have to go with the Nippon Modus 3 120's stiff; however, my club builder suggested the FST 125 Pro's, if I wanted to save money, but still get something similar to it. (Again, this isn't terms for getting banned right?) Wedges Sigh...technically, I've already made up my mind to get some wedges from the Iron Factory (Kronus Wedges) and I plan to honor that agreement. He's a great guy who's been doing forged iron repair for years now. I bought some refurbished Nike TW Victory irons from him and I love them!!!! When I do plan to get some JDM wedges, it'll be Yururi all day long. Golf Bag I have a Volvik stand bag with my name on it, on hold right now. I was very fortunate, because from what I heard, you can't get these in the states yet!!!!! Would really like one of their staff bags though. Well you guys, that's it. Apologies for the long post (I blame Chris...), but it help me really think about what I'd really want to get. Don't get me wrong, this list could definitely change, but for right now, this is it. Many kudos to Chris for answering my questions and helping me out with everything! Daris L. Cotton
  21. Thanks tons for the explanation Chris! :) It is greatly appreciated!
  22. Have a JDM training question for the TSG forums. Why aren't there any adjustable drivers with JDM equipment. I know that Taylormade Japan has it the SLDR driver, but I think that's it. Is it not a big deal in Japan? If this has been talked about already, my apologies. Please provide a link and I will check it out. Thanks.
  23. Not that I can or would buy these if I had the money, but I have some questions: 1.) Is this exactly the same irons that were made back in the day? 2.) Outside of the tweaked lofts, will there be any new technology put into them? 3.) I'm honestly very ignorant of why these irons (outside of being Mizuno's) were coveted so much. Could someone please enlighten a brother? OK, now that that's out of the way, THERE IS NO WAY ON GOD'S GREAT EARTH WOULD I DO THIS!!!!! As much as I love JDM stuff....I can't pull the trigger on this one...can't. I'd use that money for some custom Buchi or Mizuno Yoro irons or something...jeez! My future full RomaRo set with staff bag and Nippon shaft build wouldn't come close to this!!! (sigh) Man, I told myself I wasn't gonna' bitch about this....damn! My bad ya'll.... :(
  24. Supo, this is very, very bad IMO. This may be an iron set in the $1200+ range, probably for 5-pw and the best you can do is STICKERS?!?!?! Not feeling that at all. >:(
