PR-GR Egg Spoon original shaft M43
Hi folks, I am too a proud owner of an Egg Spoon (old version). I had the original M43 shaft replaced and have no use for it anymore. Thus, I'm selling it (just shaft, no grip). It has been barely used but it has some scratches in the lower part of the shaft (clubmaker was a bit uncareful when pulling the shaft). Other than that it is in perfect condition. Price: 65 USD + shipping from Germany. PS: Having trouble uploading pics. I can send it via email if required. Also made a picture to show the scratches.

Thanks for the feedback so far. Any more reviews?

Want to buy a decent golf hat, tired of looking like a fool
I recently receive a cap from PRGR. They are very light. The material of the visor is different than the standard ones. Not made out of cardboard. Must be out of some sort of elastomer since it is very flexible and can be bent back to its original shape any time. Much lighter as well. I think they are patented as well.

Epon AF-151
I was wondering if anyone had the pleasure of hitting those and might wanna share their experiences. I remember reading someone hit them, but said they are nothing special. Also interested in the differences between AF-101, AF-102 and AF-151.

using a "old" PRGR Egg 9FW as a hybrid?
Awesome pics "FatMan". That is really very helpful. Exactly what I was looking for. Hmmm, they are bigger than a hybrid. Not sure it would work for me. Can you tell me how they compare?

old PRGR Egg Spoon stock shaft made in China?
Just had the stock shaft pulled from the "old" Egg Spoon and had to find out it is made in China. Is that normal for such expensive clubs?

epon 208 kgx copper wedges
Hey S., I have them as a 52°. I never really lay them open, so can't comment on that. But when you open the face they don't really look like laying flat on the ground, that is true. Feel is superb and spin a really good.

using a "old" PRGR Egg 9FW as a hybrid?
since there are some old eggs showing up used now, I was wondering if it would be possible to use a 9FW Egg as a hybrid. I have never seen a 9FW in person, so I don't know how big or small they are. Are they comparable in size to a hybrid? Shafts are oviously a little longer than a hybrid, so I'm concerned about lie angle when shortening the club.

Has anyone had the chance to hit these shafts? Especially interested in the lighter 5 and 6 versions. Are they any good? Interested in launch and spin.

GSS German 303 vs JIS SUS 303
Don't really want to sound like a smart a#*, but every batch will porbably be different. I'm also not sure one can generalize the quality of the steel. For example I believe Sulfur and Phosphorus are an unwanted elements in steel. And those 2 values are (just marginal) higher in the JIS 303. Sulfur can lead to cracks during the forging process and Phospherus can cause the loss of ductility if the temperatur of heat treatment is too low. I hope I still remember those things correctly. Please do not hesitate to correct me if I'm wrong. I want to emphasize that I do not know which one is better nor do I want to influence someones opinion. It was just an observation.

Battle of the 3 Woods is OOOOOVER
It really takes some time to get used to the feeling and specially the sound. Didn't like it at all in the beginning. But once you adjust to it and start seeing the results it starts feeling better and better. Like Tario said, you even start liking it. When you crush it people at the range or at the course just know you have something special in your hands ;)

Compact head pear shaped driver for the average player
Would the TS work with a 95 mph SS?

Compact head pear shaped driver for the average player
Well, it doens't neccessarly have to be paer shaped. I guess the emphasis is on compact looking. I've been thinking about the Yamaha D-Series. But The 2010 D201 seems so shallow which I don't like. I don't know about the 09 D4.6 version. I've heard the 09 Models are also longer. What would be a good shaft to match the D-Series?

Compact head pear shaped driver for the average player
I'm wondering if there is something like a compact headed pear shaped driver for the average player. By compact I mean something like the new Yamaha V201. It's compact but still maintaining a 460 cc volume (high back design?). Would the Tourstage 703 fit the bill? Any reviews on that one?

2010 yamaha v 201 4.6 10*
Just had my first TWO hits with Yamaha V201 9° shafted with a Diamana Ilima 70S (got a like new used one, so I couldn't be picky with the specs). That's right, only 2 shots. I went out for a round without warming up and wasn't swinging very well. So, I didn't try want to try it. By the end of the round my fingers were itching to give it a go. So I hit it twice. First of all, I will say that I am most probably not good enough to hit that kind of driver (true players club). I usually fight the right side. More of a blocked shot. Thus, it is kind of nonsense going to a driver like the v201. I don't have this problem with any of my other clubs. I have always played the usual bigger forgiving drivers (currently Callaway FT-9 10° Draw with a Fubuki Stiff). But I have always had the feeling my blocked shots have something to do with the size of the head. Somehow the bigger headed drivers are messing with my mind and I feel I can't turn the head around to square because of the long front to back size. That is the reason I wanted to try a more compact head that. Somehow a compact head "looks" easier to turn the head around through impact. Don't really know if it makes sense to others, but that is just the way I feel. Comparing the the Callaway to the Yamaha, the head of the Yamaha seems noticeably more compact even though both heads are 460cc. To my eye it is really more appealing. But now back to my hits with the driver. On my two shots with the Yamaha, I hit it straight. The feel is very solid. The driver feels a little on the heavy side for me. Maybe the Diamana Ilima 60S would be the better choice. The trajectory was definitely low and piercing. Too low for my liking. But the total distance was about the same with my usual higher shots, since it had a lot of roll to it. 10° of loft might bring the trajectory up, but I don't know by how much. To summarize, I do like the driver, but I need more than 2 shots and more time on the range to find out if I can handle it. My initial ipressions tell me that it is probably to much club for me. A V201 with 10° loft and the diamana 60S might have been a different story. Anyone interested in a trade? ;)

Yamaha Inpres X V201 Driver (non Tour)
Might have one up for sale by the end of next week. Pulled the trigger on a v201 9° with a Diamana Ilima 70 Stiff shaft. It's probably too much club for me to handle but I will give it a try. If it doesn't work out, I will put it up for sale.

yamaha driver
what loft did you get on the v201? Have you played it yet? How is that shaft-head combo? Was looking into the same combo.

Yamaha Inpres X V201 Driver (non Tour)
Hi guys, the title says it all. Can anyone post a review on that driver? I know it is suppose to be for the better player. But can it be played by a "hack" with the right shaft? How forgiving is the head? Thanks

My order on the spoon just got back order until the end of the month:( Finally decided to pull the trigger on it and then it gets back ordered. S#*t. You know golfers, it takes a long time to decide but when you do you wanna have it immediately. Hehehe. Oh well, I guess I will have to wait.
