hi...this is my first post here..
after having used US golf equipment for most of my 52 years of playing golf--mostly callaway for the last 20 years-- i recently decided to try japan forged irons..
i started with bridgestone j36 pocket cavities and recently got a set of tourstage v7000 irons with the stock graphite shafts all in superb condition...
i realize these are almost 10 year old models but their design looks very current...
i tried them for the first time yesterday on the range and am very impressed with their very soft feel and forgiveness...
aside from the use of more exotic clubhead materials like tungsten and vibration dampening stuff--is there really any significant difference between the newer tourstage iron models --the heads specially--vs my older ones??
i also realize that graphite shafts have improved vastly since 10 years ago but i can always reshaft them if needed..
i am 64 years old and have been as low as a 3 hdcp but am currently playing to a 9 and can still carry 225-230 yards with my callaway hyperX 10.5 degree tour driver with fujikura e-360 regular flex shaft ...
i would appreciate any comments especially from those with actual experience with this model...
thank you for any replies...
